Want to Perfect Mind Control? - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Let’s talk about mind control. It is a thing and you can learn how to do it. As a matter of fact, most of these Tiny Bite podcasts are about mind control – your control of your own mind.
This is a concept that many people resist – they believe that their brain is them and they are their brain. It’s a bit more complex than that – your brain is part of who you are, and you can control it if you’d like.
Today, make a list of the thoughts that go through your head a lot. Recurring thoughts might be helpful to you or they might not – go back and highlight the ones that aren’t supporting your success or happiness.
Thoughts like “I can’t do this” limit your ability to learn new skills, so if something like that is on your list, highlight it and target it for removal. Then, each time that thought crops up, double-dog-dare yourself to do what you just told yourself you can’t.
Beginning to challenge your not-helpful thoughts is the first step in being in control of them. And when you control and can banish non-helpful thoughts, you open new doorways to success in your life.
