Want to Feel Better? Try This! - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Do you like to sing? I’m not asking if you’re good or not – I’m sure not, and I love to sing. I make up songs with my dogs’ names in them and sing to my dogs. If they care how bad I sound, they’re too polite to complain.
Singing is a way to use your creativity in a way that connects it to your whole body. When you sing, you use your breath in a way that calms the stress hormones and eases your muscles. When you sing, you are arranging specific vibrations in a specific pattern, and the brain loves patterns. Those vibrations are felt by the whole body because they originate inside the body, creating a feeling of one-ness with yourself.
You don’t have to be a good singer to benefit from singing – find a time in your day each day to make a joyful noise and see how much better you feel!
