Wale's Live In The District: DMV Roots & Go-Go Legends

0:00On March 20th, Whale is heading back to his DMB Roots with a new two-day concert series called Live in the District. It's tied to his 23-city tour for his eighth studio album Everything Is A Lot, which dropped last November. The shows hit during Juneteenth Weekend at the Plaza Stage in Nationals Park. Earlier this week, details came out for the opener on June 20th. Whale's tour mate Smino joins him, along with fellow DMB artist Alex Vaughn. The next day, June 21st, brings local favorite Fajiera and the legendary Gogoban UCB. All original members of UCB reunite for the first time in over 14 years, ready to play classics like their hit Sexy Lady for more than 20 years back. Fans are buzzing about this milestone, as his Whale's first outdoor hometown shows ever. The energy promises to capture his takes on fame, relationships, and triumphs from the album. June 20th already sold out fast, but tickets remain for Sunday and the full tour, which kicks off May 26th in San Francisco and ends July.
