Wake Forest's ACC Tournament Run Ends in Loss to Clemson

0:00In Durham, it's March 12. Here's what is happening. Wake Forest Men's basketball team saw its ACC tournament run end with a tough loss to Clemson. The 13th seeded Demon Deacons fell 71-62 against the 5th seeded Tigers in the second round. Clemson jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back. The Tigers hit 9-3 pointers in the first half to build a 41-23 advantage at the break. They also owned the boards with a 40-33 rebounding edge. Wake Forest shot better after half time but couldn't close the gap fully. Juke Harris led the Deacons with 22 points while Nate Camise added 20. The team fought back to within 10 points late but Clemson sealed it with key plays down the stretch. This drops Wake Forest to 17 wins and 16 losses for the season. It's the sixth straight year under Coach Steve Forbes without an NCAA tournament birth despite five winning seasons. Clemson improves to 22 and 9 and advances to face 4th seeded North Carolina in the quarter finals
