1:02Welcome back to Lantern Rouge cycling podcast three cap of stage 15 of the world. There are a st, a spania from Palma del Rio to quarter of 110 kilometers. So you know, junior length race for these guys. And then it's 20. And then there's a 10 K like 5%

2:03a cent. We're not really pedals. And then there's a flat last 10 Ks into the finishing quarter of the bar quarter was a beautiful city. Very, very harsh. So I'd recommend traveling normally in early spring or even even winter, frankly, the most key to those beautiful, the more a shark attack. He's more than GC here, which he wasn't then. And then you've got Armirao and Crystrike and then Brennan, Van Art, so it'll upharts out and Tullets out. So you have very limited options to control. 9:19picking off the front, legnesons, the soul survivor, the breakaway, we get over the 5K, 5% climb legneson, the bronias on 5 seconds, peloton's 15 seconds, the bronia gets across to him and we have the intermediate sprint on the flat. It's 32Ks from the finish, the intermediate sprint, Benji arrives at his television and now the points are in play for Van Aar. That's true. He does lose the points against Romelia or Melitex, the points ahead of him and I think Furt plays at the intermediate sprint behind the brine and legnesound. They're also bonus seconds but none of these riders actually care about that. But what happens during the sprint is more interesting than the sprint itself is how I see it because Woutfinadgole's spashtro malei and continues on with his adventure with Romelia and the wheel and this basically kicks off the move. Like before this point, you can maybe think to yourself, okay, maybe Visma's going to try and keep it together with that their goal to try and keep it together for a sprint and a peloton.

10:23This switches that from being an option to its very clear attackers are going to make this because in the span of 5 to 10 kilometers we go from a small breakway being up ahead and Visma controlling to riders jumping to the breakway including Woutfinad, including Romelia, nice as well trying to jump towards that move bridge towards that move five riders up front now than a chasing group falling behind and the peloton nobody really taking it up and losing one minute 30 because Vana and Romelia got the gap because it was the intermediate sprint that thought that well Romelia is taking points he's a sprinter why would he continue? Vana is just following him because he's gone for the green jersey, Visma have controlled for two hours they're going to keep controlling and that immediate switch and then they already have a significant gap because no one followed them at the intermediate sprint and you got two big horses and it's also because Brennan can win the sprint of course but getting with Armour

16:45in the in the heat in the shortened stage also for the points jersey he now has a 108 point lead ahead of brennan that should be pretty comfortable now for him um yeah to win the points competition no gc changes in the top hand yeah that's a stage pretty calm stage yeah I think uh it's good to see wild take a second victory it's confirmation again for romelu but amelae sorry wrong name tibonais strong right from him today um i do think that is strategy in this print completely botched their chances to potentially win the race because tibonais is sprinting solid enough that he could have betted on the sprint instead of betting on a 275 long attack sprint you know so I think that was the wrong decision but at the end of the day um i'm pretty fun final i enjoyed the stage even though i think a lot of people are like commenting on on whether the shortening of

17:46the stage was right floor something i think in this heat it should be shortened the the more noticeable thing about the shortening and though is that i've i seem to hear a lot of like unhappiness and quarrels between between writers and organization and stuff about this the whole concept of heat impact because yesterday quite a lot of writers weren't happy about the the stage being as it was as multiple writers have been uh shipped off to the hospital with a heatstroke in the last three days to then uh because the way it sounded to me i saw an interview from javier again which is the the guy the guy love welta basically and he said it was a writers initiative to make this stage the shortened one i don't think it should have to be the writers that have to decide whether a stage needs to be shortened when it's 40 degrees and it's like really like it's days day after day you know how they're recovering after it does it even change anything like no offense but
