I gave out four MLB futures that I like for division winners this year and I went all with plus prices. I didn't go with any favorites outside of one at plus 150 with the New York Mets. But when it comes to betting on these, I'm trying to get this thing alive and look if I can come back the

other way. If I have someone at two and a half, three to one somewhere in that range and they shorten up to the favorite and then the other teams like the favorite drops down to two, three to one, I can maneuver within the market and trying to find a way to lock in a profit. So these are my core four MLB division winners that I'm throwing up there to start the year. We're going to go with Baltimore plus four 25 to win the AL East. The Yankees are kind of stale to me and a lot of hinges on the health, the Garrett Cole coming off major injury. You've also got a team like Toronto that went deep into the October, not a long off season. And that pitching staff has only gotten older. They're led by guys like Kevin Gossman who have a lot of tread on the tires. Losing boat, boba, shed will matter. I have questions about their bullpen and I just don't know if this team can match the level of output they had a year ago. When finally, everything came together after this core for a long time was very disappointing. In the AL West, I'm taking Texas plus three 40. And that's mostly because I think Houston is highly overrated as the second shot in the

board at plus two 50. And the Seattle Mariners, who I love, we were on Seattle last year. We've been on Seattle for like the last three years. But so much of it is pitching dependent. And they already are dealing with a couple of injuries to that rotation. They don't have the depth in their organization to deal with an injury or two, commonly or constantly happening throughout the season. The lineup's good. It's better than it was a year ago at this time, but they still need some power. They still need a bopper in the middle. I liked that they brought back Nailer. I think the addition of Donovan is huge. But I still don't know if there's a ton of offense there. So they're very much a pitching dependent team. And they don't have depth. And then also in the AL Central, I'm taking Kansas City. This is one of those spots where I love Detroit. Don't get me wrong. I understand why everyone loves them. Why they're hyped up as a potential sleeper or not sleeper, but 20 to one to win the World Series as people's favorite long shot. I think Kansas City's right there with them. I think the lineup is better. I think the fence is coming in and Kansas City is going to be huge for their power production. And if Cole Reagan's is healthy, they have an ace who matches up

with every other ace in Major League Baseball. Pitching staff has depth in the rotation. One to five. In fact, one to seven. I'd say with burger in the minor. So they traded for last year. I think Kansas City's going to be super dangerous. And Bobby Woods going to be an MVP candidate. And then the New York Mets at plus 150. Philly has gotten very old, very fast. And they're needing guys to bounce back like Aranola off injury. And I don't know if they're ready for a full 162. Atlanta already has a rotation that's dealing with a couple of pitchers going under the knife. And they're relying now on guys like Chris sale and Randall Del Lopez, who have not been durable at least the last few years. So I'm taking the Mets at plus 150. That's the Orioles Rangers, the Royals and the Mets is my division winners here. Now let's look at the card in college basketball for conference tournaments coming up here on Friday. Let's begin in the ACC where even though I have Miami, I think it's 20 to 1 or 25 to 1 to win the ACC tournament. It hinges on this game getting past Virginia. The number is four and a half. I'm

taking it with Miami catching the point. I don't think people realize how solid this team is. And the way they went to Charlottesville and they were winning most of that game. Virginia laying three and a half. I'm seeing a draft Kings. I just got a four and a half at Caesars. 143 and a half is the total. When you have a guard like Donaldson, who's a veteran who's been through it with his time at Auburn and Jay Lucas, a guy who learned at Duke under Shire and has been around the block here. I think Virginia is a little bit overrated in the market. I think people view them as the number two team in the ACC. And I'm not sure they are. That's why they're priced as a three and a half point favorite on a neutral against Miami. I am going to take the points with Virginia in this with Miami in this spot, fading the Cavalier so I'm not buying where they are rated by everyone right now. The next bet I want to look at here, we're going to lay seven and a half with Saint John's against seat and hall. This is just simply one coach is great in conference tournament play. The other one, he went on a miraculous run with

Saint Peter's a while back, but the trends while he's at seat and hall are not great in terms of tournament games. Shaheen Holloway, nine and three covering the number, revinging a loss in the same season. One and three against the spread in conference tournament play in the big East. He is 11 and eight covering in tournament games overall. Rick Patino, 11 and four against the spread in tournaments. He is six and all against the spread at Saint John's in the big East tournament. He's two and a covering in tournament semifinals. You have to understand about Rick Patino. He knows how to guide a team through the entire season. So what he likes to do is slow play this thing and unlock new elements of his of his program as the season goes on so that when it matters the most late in the year, they're hitting their stride. I do believe we're going to get the best version of the red storm going forward. I don't know what the ceiling is, but I know it's enough again to get past seat and hall. I don't really trust offensively. Give me Saint John's minus the seven and a half against seat and hall. The next game

we want to look at here on the board. We're going to stay in the big East tournament where Yukon is laying a big number to Georgetown. You know, Georgetown early in the year gave Yukon quite a scare. In fact, what was the final score of that game? Final score of that game with Georgetown 7975 on February 14th. I think Dan Hurley is not playing around this time around and their size is going to be a major issue for Georgetown. I laid 13 and a half. It's a big number to lay in conference tournament play, but Georgetown went on like a four game winning streak in the middle of the season and people thought they might be solid. And he have to realize coming off that win today against Villanova, they're being priced probably as if they're a little bit better than they really are. This is probably really a 15 point spread in my eyes. I like Yukon with their ability offensively to really outwork Georgetown who can't hang if the shots are falling for the Huskies. I'll lay that 13 in a hook with Dan Hurley and Yukon. The next game up here, this is a tough call, but I'm going to do it because my, my gut just tells me

UCLA is a team that has found its offensive identity late in the season. So I'm going to take them plus five and a half against Sparty. This is also a bet because UCLA has a game under their belt. They beat Rutgers to open up the big 10 tournament Michigan State coming off the buy. And because of that, I think the shots will be falling for the Bruins here. And I love Donovan Dent as the best player on the floor. And while I'm going to say that Mick Cronin is a great tournament coach, I do have to acknowledge that Tom is maybe the best tournament coach out there. But I kind of trust Mick Cronin as a dog catching five and a half in conference tournament play where his team really needs to make sure when they get to the big dance that they're the best version of themselves. So they're not going to play around here. I like UCLA plus the five and a hook against Sparty. Next game up, I'm laying a number with Florida 10 and a half against Kentucky. Todd Golden is 16 and 13 against the spread as a neutral favorite. He's seven and four covering as

a neutral favorite of six and a half to 12. Kentucky has not looked right for a very long time. I don't know where they are. And I do believe that Todd Golden is the type of coach that takes this thing seriously. He cares about the conference tournament. He is going to make sure that his team hits the ground running here, gets off to a good start and wins the league. That is where they're at. He's a coach who decimates teams in the second half. If there's any adjustments that need to be made, I trust Golden over Pope to come through with my money on the line. I'm also going to lay three and a half with Purdue. And I know I've said time and time again. I don't trust Matt Painter in March. But against Nebraska, I think they could have a size advantage. And if they continue having a game under their belt as well, to shoot the ball, which we're seeing teams with a game under their belt versus teams that don't, the shooting tends to favor those teams that have already played. I'm going to lay three and a half with the boiler makers against Nebraska. I'm also on Clemson plus 11 and a half

against Duke. Florida may have exposed what's wrong with Duke, because now in a pressure situation, you have players and roles they haven't been in before. Whether they're being turned to because Duke is dealing with a couple of key injuries, Florida state almost beat the Blue Devils. Normally, this is the regular season. We have two or three games to adjust. I would think about coming back with Duke, but it's not the regular season. The next game is the next day at Brad Brown. I was a very good tournament coach. Duke may just kind of look at this and say, it's not worth the effort and mail it in and get ready for the big dance where they're going to be a one seed regardless. Because of that, I'll take a big number with Clemson at plus 11 and a half because Clemson wants to keep this low scoring the totals low at 134 and a half. Because of that, I'll take the big dog. I'm also on Tennessee plus one and a half against Vandy. I just trust Rick Barnes more than Buyington in tournament. And then Wisconsin. I'm catching eight against Illinois. They're ready to go shot for shot with the Align Eye. And this could be one of those spots where one team with with already playing a game in the big 10 tournament Wisconsin has an Illinois team where I love offensively the best in the

nation, but it could be a slower start than anticipated. So those are the plays for Friday. So you're listening to this podcast hoping to get an edge. But what if I told you you're only halfway there? You've got the mindset. But what have you had the toolkit to go with it? Because here's the thing.
