Volta Wine + Market: St. Pete's New Wine & Gourmet Haven

This 2,000 square foot spot combines a wine shop, gourmet market, and cozy bar on the ground floor of a new 46-story condo tower nearing. Completion. Construction kicks off this month. Positioning Volta as one of the first retail tenants in the development by New York-based Red Aval Group. Michelin recognized Somalye, Zach Pace, and partner Rochelle Tomachev are behind the concept. They wanted to feel like a warm home invitation. Complete with vinyl records and analog sound, but no televisions anywhere. The shop will stock more than 3,000 bottles from 300 selections, ranging from $15 everyday picks to rare ventures by small producers in the United States and Europe. The market side offers artisanal dairy, prepared foods, 10 fish, olive oils, and global specialties, while a 60-bar serves drinks by them.
