Hey, it's arrow and this is vocal B frag vocal B fragging is taking the time to ask yourself the questions and then question in the answer so many times we get locked into these circles of people and we just start letting the questions fly and we're letting their answers be our guide. I don't know if that's the way it's supposed to be because the journey going forward should actually have you participating with it. If we were designed by other people then why aren't other people sticking with us a lot longer than five or ten minutes do you know what I mean? How many of those people have actually worked together a long period of time? It's usually in one door and right out the other and it's like, well for a brief moment

I thought we had a team here so you've got to ask yourself the questions and question the answers. I keep a hand written deep frag journal and I also do the vocal B frag journal because this is where pitch volume and tone live. Whatever my emotions are I can't hide this but when I'm holding that writing instrument you can get any interpretation you want. This is vocal deep writing. Not here in the forest. I have been clouded for the past four days on a question that has been inside my heart and it all deals with this thing called a gut feeling. A gut feeling. My mom used to say that girls have intuitions. Guys have gut feelings and being a part of the radio industry for four decades you are given a lot of gut feelings. It doesn't mean that you're always right but when the people around you are no longer talking with you including you or doing things that really kind of bring yourself to the forefront of the business success you start getting the gut feeling.

I mean that gut feeling can come from almost anywhere. It can be these stupid ass write ups that these business leaders are doing. Oh man you are your foot in a made up like a farting sound when you put your foot in that tennis shoe. We're going to have to write you up for that. You see what I mean? It's very stupid reasons why these different managers are writing up their employees. It's almost like they're setting their employees up for an easy termination because this way they've got a paper trail of what? That's the thing about it of what and you want to challenge it and when you do what do they do? Well we're going to have to write you up again because this is like resisting an officer's arrest. We have given you this accusation. We've looked into it. You're wrong. So therefore we're going to write you up and you end up going I'm just going to shut up is what I'm going to do and then you get written up again because you're not having conversations with people.

So funny I work for a company now and it's out of choice. It's only because I like being with people. What I don't like being with are false gods when it comes to decision makers but anyway one of the things that they actually told me to do is it's stop talking to people. I looked down and I said what? Stop talking to people. I said that's part of what we do. That's you know I watch the movies. I take the test. I do everything that this company is trying to promote forward in building and engaging their guests to have a stronger relationship so they can come back a different day. You have what you're talking too much. What? You're talking too much. So what happens is is that when they feel you're talking too much that means they're losing business. Do you understand where I'm going? I mean I totally understand where they're coming from but in building that engagement with that passer by if you don't start the conversation if you don't bring things up then you're going to get written up because you're not talking enough with those that are your guests or potential

clients. Those who are going to spend their money just shut up as they say just shut up. You're talking too much. So what are you doing a situation like that when all of a sudden it seems like every week or every other week they're writing you up. You get the gut feeling. The gut feeling that oh you're up to something. You can't wrongfully fire anybody but you're up to something we're going to create a paper trail and say you know in doing some investigating we notice a pattern here it's all documented and you signed it so it must be true. You see what I mean you can run that to any one of your friends at any given time and they're all going to give you a different answer and reply. And boy I have seen that over the past four days is that I just sit there and I present the situation. Boom boom boom ABC and then their opinions come. In fact I was with a radio guy today that I've known for 40 years and he goes but dude you know what it's all about.

He says the moment that something does come to an end because your gut feeling gave you the actuality and this time it wasn't just something that just came from out of nowhere because you have a little bit of fear doubt and shame but this thing paid out. Well what happens is it's now giving you space to grow to breathe to put yourself in a position of new decision making and new exploration and not having to live up to those monsters that are sitting there writing you up. Oh by the way you have a nose hair on your right hand side. I've been looking at that thing for about four days now we're going to write you up. Really? Oh I can't pull it. No, not we're going to have to write you up. You know what I mean? I can't be the only one that goes through this where they write you up for any damn reason. So what do you get? The gut feeling and then you want to write a story that hasn't even happened. So after three days off I'm headed into this place of business with the idea and a God

dang it I don't want to write a story before it happens but I have listened to everybody else's stories which didn't I say that in a very beginning? Don't step into a circle with your dirty feet expecting their answers to keep your toes clean if you know what I mean. You've got to ask yourself the questions and then question your answers. What is in my daily writing? It is in my de-frag journal but the one stipulation that I wanted more than anything and this is my true lesson to you is don't go into this daily writing or even a vocal de-frag like this and bury yourself with your assumption, your gut feeling, your intuition. If it happens, it happens. This is America. This is the way America does business. They hire to fire. You do not have a name you've got a number. Be stronger, be you, believe in you and you know what? It's their freaking loss if you're no longer there.

It is. So I don't care if you're the worst employee on the planet. If you ain't there, it's the business's loss. Not yours. Because they made the decision to hire you in the first place as far as I'm concerned they failed you. I'm Arrow. That's vocal de-frag.
