Visa delays strand Filipino tradies as Perth builder crisis deepens

Summit Homes has signed 162 Filipino tradespeople, but visa processing delays of six to eight months are preventing them from starting work. The company estimates it could build an additional 500 homes next year if these workers were approved, with each tradesperson capable of helping construct two homes annually.
