Virginia Basketball Earns NCAA Tournament Seed

First year coach Ryan Odom and his team watched the selection show together on Sunday night, buzzing with excitement over their spot. They opened against number 14 seed, right-state on Friday in Philadelphia. The rowdy Raiders just won their lead tournament, so it'll be a solid test right out of the gate. Meanwhile, in their pod, number 6 Tennessee awaits the winner of a first four game between SMU and Miami of Ohio set for Wednesday in Dayton. The winners clash again on Sunday, with the survivor heading to Chicago for the later rounds. Coach Odom called it a testament to the player's hard work since arriving in June. He grew up dreaming of the big dance, and now he wants his guys to soak it all in. Odom has guided four different schools to the tournament in his career, including UMBC, Utah State, and BCU. With the team peaking after a strong ACC run, despite that title game lost to Duke, they're primed to make some noise deep into March.
