On April 27, Violet Girl, the 20-year-old daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave, just crushed her first full solo gig back in April at A. Record store day event in Long Beach. Now she's stacking up tour dates to push her debut album Be Sweet To Me, dropping May 29 on Aurora Records' Slash Republic. She's got a solid band behind her, with drummer Anthony Lopez, guitarist Salar Rajabnik, bassist Angel M.A., kicking off June 4th at Babies All Right in Brooklyn. She'll hit Philly on June 5th, then Washington DC on June 6th. Later that month, she's opening for the Breeders in Baltimore, June 23rd, and New York June 24th. August brings festival runs across Europe like Puckelpop in Belgium, Leeds in Reading in England, an electric picnic in Ireland. Performing in DC hits different for her since that's where her dad cut his teeth in the 80s rock scene. She calls it a full circle moment, staying at his childhood home with old family friends

around. Even though she didn't grow up there, those deep roots make every show feel like home bass. Recently, she hosted an intimate album listening party in New York's Williamsburg at James Murphy's Nightmoose Club, rubbing shoulders with label. Folks and press, her latest single Cool Buzz drops with the video, May 1st, directed by Nikki Milan Houston. She's already locked in shaking knees in Atlanta. September 20th and CBGB Festival in Brooklyn, September 26th. Keep an eye on this rising star, her momentum's building fast across the US and overseas.
