The 60-year-old EGOT winner shared this during a recent episode of Amy Polar's Good Hang podcast. She has done plenty of them in her career, but hates both filming and watching them. After starring in How to Get Away with Murder, Davis drew a hard line. No more steamy moments on screen for her. Polar and her team laughed, as Davis laid out her new rule. Davis explained that actors with chiseled abs make scenes feel fake. Crews spend time adjusting makeup and staging awkward moves, like pretend slaps, a partner with a big gut would force writers to craft something real. She has complained about this before. Back in 2016 on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Davis talked about hurting her back and hip in a wall scene from the show's first season. She limped for two weeks. These days, Davis wants things simple as she ever agrees.
