The idea kicked off back in 2017 when Arthur, who'd already worked with Clark on a track for the assembly, pitched covering their favorite old tunes. They soon pulled in Bangay thanks to his collaborations with Arthur on the Fader project and co-producing six Blankmange albums. For the trio, this project feels like a shadow autobiography of their musical roots. They picked 11 tracks from post-punk acts like Fat Gadget and the Sound.
