Vikings Place Restricted Tender on Jalen Redmond

The Minnesota Vikings are placing a restricted free agent tender on defensive lineman Jalen Redman. The 26 year old had a breakout year last season, playing in all 17 games and starting 15. He racked up 62 tackles, 6 stacks, a forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries, and 5 pass breakups. Redman entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma, signing with the Carolina Panthers in 2023. He landed on the physically unable to perform lists during training camp and got cut soon after. That led him to the XFL, where he played for the Arlington Renegades in 2024. He joined the Vikings that summer and quickly made an impact. Earlier this year with the Vikings, Redman appeared in 13 games with two starts, notching 18 tackles, one sack, and two pass breakups. His full season performance showed even more promise.
