THE LARGEST Christian denomination on the planet seems to have a profound interest in things happening off planet — meaning outer space.  The Roman Catholic Church has been involved in astronomical studies since the time of Galileo.
Cris Putnam, co-author with Tom Horn of Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican's Astonishing Exo-Theological Plan for the Arrival of an Alien Savior, talks about the Vatican's apparent fascination with astronomy, its public statements about the existence of extra-terrestrial life, and the possible reasons the Roman Catholic Church feels compelled to speculate about the nature of ET's soul.
