VFTB 135: Gilgamesh Immortal

AS IT'S written in the book of Ecclesiastes:
What has been is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done,
and there is nothing new under the sun.
So it wasn't a huge surprise to discover that the new novel by award-winning screenwriter Brian Godawa, essentially a retelling of the story of the ancient Sumerian king Gilgamesh, deals with themes that are very familiar to us in the 21st century: The meaning of life, the question of one's purpose, and the desire to overcome death.
Gilgamesh Immortal: Chronicles of the Nephilim Book 3 draws from ancient Mesopotamian sources, including the Bible, to give us a better understanding of the motives behind Gilgamesh's quest for immortality — and perhaps some insight into modern efforts to succeed where the mighty king failed.
