VFTB 128: A View From Turkey

About this episode

IT'S DIFFICULT to understand what's happening on the other side of the world. Not only is our media filtered, but we don't begin to grasp the nuances of culture, race, and religion that affect geopolitics.
In the hope of shedding some light on what looks like a possible flashpoint for a regional Middle East war, we talk via Skype with American Cliff Garner, who's lived in Istanbul for the last five years. He shares what he's learned from the Turkish people he's come to know, what's reported in their media, and some possible motives for Turkey's brewing conflict with Syria.
You can contact Cliff through his Facebook group, American Amnesia.
