In augustus registreerde Tesla 776 auto's in ons land. Dat is een halvering ten opzichte van dezelfde maand vorig jaar. Uit de nieuwste registratiecijfers blijkt verder dat in augustus iets minder (-2,7%) nieuwe auto's verkocht zijn in Nederland. De Kia Picanto is het bestverkochte model. De Skoda Elroq was de populairste EV. Het marktaandeel van elektrische auto's komt in augustus uit op bijna 34%.
