Vehicle Fire Shuts Down Manchester Road, Thick Smoke Visible

Fix smoke is rising high and visible for miles around, forcing cars and trucks to a complete standstill. The blaze is happening in a scenic area surrounded by the Pete District National Park and the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve. Drivers are stuck in long backups with some folks getting out to watch the flames up close from a safe distance. Recent pictures from around 3pm show the vehicle fully engulfed with emergency crews working to get it under control.
