Vancouver Rundown Wednesday November 20, 2024

Parts of Vancouver Island have been hardest hit by a ‘bomb cyclone’ of high winds and heavy downpours that hit the South Coast Tuesday evening. BC Ferries cancelled many of its sailings, half a dozen highways and roads were closed and more than 200,000 BC Hydro customers were hit by outages. There are remaining concerns about flooding in some areas of the South Coast as heavy rain continues for much of Wednesday.
