Van Dwellers Spark Outrage, Beach Hut Break-ins in Bournemouth

More than 340 people have signed a petition demanding action from Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Pool Council, including time to bays, and overnight bans to stop the months-long stays. Meanwhile, frustration is mounting over 27 break-ins at beach huts on the promenade below the cliffs in recent weeks. These have cut locks, stolen items, damaged contents, and even said decking on fire. Owners blame poor lighting and lack of protection, but the council is coordinating repairs and security upgrades with police, who are still investigating with no arrests so far, leaving the community on edge.
