UVA Cavaliers Edge Tar Heels in ACC Golf Semifinals

Josh Dwangmani sealed it with a 20-foot birdie-plet on the first playoff hole against Grand Rostich, giving UVA the edge they needed to advance. The match got suspended Sunday evening because of darkness and wrapped up Monday morning on April 27th, 2026. Rostich had forced the extra hole with his own 20-foot birdie on the final regulation hole, keeping things intense right down to the wire. Tarheel's fans had plenty to cheer with, freshman Carson Britagno, taking down UVA's Ben James, ranks number two in the NCAA by two-in-one. Andrew Riley also delivered for UNC, birdying the 19th hole to beat Michael Lee after a back-and-forth battle. UVA grabbed the other points from Brian Lee and Paul Chang in solid wins.
