Al Jazeera Podcasts The Israeli military says it's begun a new wave of strikes across Iran. The targets they say are Iranian government infrastructure. For the first time, U.S. and Israeli forces have hit Tehran's oil facilities. Large fires were seen across parts of the capital, toxic fumes and smoke now hanging over millions of people have been enduring days of intense air strikes. Iran's leadership has been issuing mixed messages about their position on attacks on neighboring countries in the Gulf region. On Saturday, Iran's President Masood Pazishgian apologized and said the interim leadership counsel communicated with the army to halt those attacks, but within minutes there were repeated attacks again in the region, now in the past few hours. Pazishgian is accusing countries he describes as enemies of misinterpreting his words and

trying to create discord. Iran has continued its attacks across the Gulf region, which hosts U.S. military assets. Authorities say a government building in Kuwait called, Kuwait City, caught fire after being hit by a drone. Fuel tanks at Kuwait's international airport were also targeted by drones. Officials in Bahrain say at least three people were injured during an Iranian missile attack. And in the past hour, the UAE has said its air defense systems are responding to a missile threat. Earlier, one person was killed in Dubai after debris from an intercepted drone fell on the city. Debris from a missile interception also damaged the residential tower and Dubai Marina. And Saudi Arabia says its air defenses have intercepted and destroyed eight drones, including one over the capital, Brijad. Iran has also launched another barrage of missiles towards Israel, air defense systems intercepted

several of them over central northern parts of the country. Residents reported seeing interceptions light up the night sky as sirens sounded in multiple areas. Israeli officials say there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Coming up on the take, how will two years of AI fuel genocide in Palestine shape the war on Iran? That's the take by Al Jazeera. Find it wherever you get your podcasts.
