US attacks Iranian oil tankers, US-Canada trade war

Central command says that the strikes are in response to recent attacks by Iran's revolutionary guard targeting a US Navy vessel with ballistic missiles. Sen. Combs says the warship evaded both attacks and that no American personnel were hurt. The US military says that crews onboard the Iranian vessels were ordered to abandon ship before the attacks. Well, the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned Iran against continued attacks. The back and forth is pretty straightforward and that is that Iran continues to try to hit US naval ships and for every time they do that or try to do that, they're going to lose tankers. And I think you'll see that again today. Well, Iran says that its launch retaliatory attacks on two US vessels and eight oil tankers. Missile interceptions were seen near the city of El bid about 70 kilometers north of the capital Amman. Jordan says its air defenses downed 18 of the 20 missiles launched towards its territory. In Yemen, fighting is escalating between the Ansar al-Ahuthis and Saudi-backed government forces. The conflict spilling beyond Yemen's borders with the Houthis launching strikes on Saudi Arabia. On Tuesday, the Houthis targeted energy sites belonging to the oil giant Saudi Aramco, as well as other civilian infrastructure. Satellite images show plumes of smoke rising from some of the Aramco facilities. At least 73 people were injured in the attacks. Saudi-backed government forces in Yemen have vowed to respond. Well, this is all part of a deepening conflict and battle for territory in Yemen, where the Ansar al-Ahuthis control the capital Sanaa and the North West,

2:02including most of the Red Sea coastline. The internationally recognized government controls much of southern and eastern Yemen. The US says that it will ban a variety of Canadian imports, including dairy products, most alcoholic drinks and motorcycles. It's the latest move in an escalating trade war between the neighboring countries. On Tuesday, Canadian counter tariffs on $20 billion worth of American products came into effect. Those measures are in response to tariffs announced by President Trump last month, following the collapse of trade talks.
