About this episode
Fringe Beyond Limits is made possible by:
On this episode of Fringe Beyond Limits the hosts mix playful banter (including a running joke about Steve, sweet potatoes, and “spaghetti soup”) with a deep dive into classic and modern urban legends.
They explore stories from Resurrection Mary and the vanishing hitchhiker to Bloody Mary, Japanese rituals like Hanako-san and Daruma-san, and internet-born myths such as the Backrooms, Siren Head, and the Momo panic — examining history, psychology, and why these tales persist.
Equal parts funny and chilling, the episode looks at how urban legends reflect cultural fears and invites listeners to keep their eyes open — and maybe avoid chanting alone in a dark bathroom.

Hello, my baby. I love dancing, bro. So how's everyone doing? Doing good. Yeah, that's nice. I'm doing good from my head to my shoe. I know where to go, but I don't want to do it. I've got this word. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I got a new attitude. It still sounds hillbilly-ish when you sing it. That was better than most. It was. I'm not saying it wasn't. It was an improvement, but still sounded a little hillbilly-ish. Maybe I'm just a natural hillbilly singer. I've seen your family tree and yes, you are naturally hillbilly. The wreath? The family wreath? Not hillbilly. Yeah, the two sticks. The tally-brown tree? Yeah, yeah. So. Speaking of terrestrial, I think it's a little bit more like a little bit more. So. So. Speaking of terrestrial, I told Steve I was going to lay into a mountain. So. Oh, all right. So.
I pulled out all my sweet potatoes. They all were ready for harvest. And I took a picture of some of my sweet potatoes are like the size of like chickens. Like roasted chicken. Or. Cute. And I sent a video and Steve's like, wait, a sweet potato is like a real vegetable. Oh, my God. I'm like, hold on a second. What did you think a sweet potato was? He's like, like a regular potato and just cooked with sugar or something. Oh, my God. I was like, what are you? And what rock did you crawl up underneath? He was very confused. He never seen one. No clue. That's awesome. So in addition to breaking, you don't want to get a. Give me a break. Because he could have always thought of it was a. No, Steve doesn't know things. That sweet potato. How? Huh. Steve, you read it correctly. I'm speechless.
Does. Does he think like not just sugar was added, but like orange food dye was added to it as well? I don't even think he thought they were orange. I don't think he's ever seen a sweet potato. But I feel like if you go to a restaurant, they usually say, oh, you want a sweet potato fries or regular fries, not all, but a lot of restaurants do. Yeah. Well, yeah, also like sweet potato casserole like. Like how. How. I like how this made it. Broke as speechless. Yeah. I have a question. How has he lived this long and not walked into a helicopter. A helicopter propeller yet. I think he tries every day. I mean, like it shocks who that he finds the front door to leave his house every day. And he doesn't just get lost and walk around the circle. Everyone's got a special friend. Yeah.
Yeah. And I thought I was your special friend. I don't know. You took the sweet potato cake. Sweet potato pie. He took the sweet potato pie. Yeah. Steve. Oh my god. There's this thing called school that I think you should go back to. You should be the new Billy Madison. Has he never even been in a grocery store? I think he just buys three things when he goes to the grocery store. Serial milk. No. No. No. First pizza. Wonderbread. And mayo. Lonnie. No, he doesn't like condiments. Lonnie. I don't know. Oh, like beef. Whatever he grills on the grill. What it's some sort of meat. That's all he eats. Some sort of meat. Steve, we got it. We got to fix you. We got to fix you. I'm. You've been trying for like 10 years. Yeah. You can't go on living like this anymore. This is just not okay with me. Are we going to have an intervention? Yeah. Steve prevention.
Yeah. We're going to have a nutritionist come over and show you all the different kinds of foods you could eat. See this. This is a sweet potato. I'll take. See the first three to a sweet potato and a potato. They even look different from the outside. I'll teach you how to how to how to season things to make it taste good. No. He makes spaghetti soup. And that's a bad idea. Spaghetti soup. Yes. His spaghetti swims. His sauce is so watered down. His spaghetti swims like chef Boyard. Spaghetti. Spaghetti. Oh. I'm getting like nauseous. Physically sick. Your mom is probably rolling in a grave right now hearing spaghetti soup. Every single Italian that's dead is rolling in their grave. And they're gravy. Get it? Is it rolling in their gravy? And they're broken pasta. Anyway. That was my update for the week. I had to get out of the way. Yeah. I'm going to do something about this.
I don't know what yet. I'm coming for you, Steve. Steve, lock your doors. I had to kid's. I had to wife. Yeah. To be continued. Yeah. Wilson, you're safe for now. Steve, you're on my list. So. Until the next episode. Until the next episode. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be happy. I'm going to be happy. Yeah. Until the next episode. So. Alright. You know, so I was listening to Spotify. And I found this hip hop. Hip hop rap. Hip hop rap. Hip hop rap. Hip hop rap. Stations. Anonymous. 90's in 2000's. And I'm like. Oh, that is my wheelhouse. I forgot how aggressive the songs in the 2000's were. Right, it was super aggressive so many end words were spoken. Yep. Oh my god. So yeah, that's all I got to say about that
but All right, I'm jumping shit tonight's topic Sure after Talked about after dish that I don't know. I don't know how to categorize that spaghetti soup and soup potatoes There are potatoes with sugar Steve is a living legend. Yeah, Steve is Steve is barely living. That's true You would agree All right, so we'd like to think that we have outgrown the dark that we've paved over the ancient forests lit up our street Corners with halogen bulbs and insulated our homes against the cold quite quite unknown But the monsters of our ancestors didn't vanish when we built the cities. They just learn how to hide in them They crawled out of the deep woods and slipped into our rearview mirrors our empty office buildings and the Static of our phone screens This is the world of the urban legend a modern mythology born not from dusty textbooks
But from the hushed whispers of a friend who swears it really happened What makes these stories truly terrifying isn't the blood or the monsters? It's the proximity they don't take place in a faraway Gothic castle or mythical kingdoms They wait for you in the mundane places you trust most a public restroom on the third floor an Elevator in a normal high rise or your own bathroom at midnight when the house is dead silent They plan the unsettling feeling you get when you're suddenly sure you're not alone in an empty room or the Phantom weight you think you feel in the dark Close your eyes take a breath and look down at your reflection Because the worst part about an urban legend is the lingering icy doubt it leaves in your mind The creeping suspicion that if you say the wrong name take the wrong turn or look Just a little too closely in the shadows you might become the next story people whisper about
So at their core urban legends are the fairy tales of the modern era They are highly plausible deeply compelling and almost entirely apocryphal stories that are passed around as absolute truth Typically attributed to a friend of a friend These tales are not just Random lies. They are carefully crafted narratives that reflect our deepest cultural anxieties The history of how these stories Evolved from ancient folklore into a viral internet myths is a fascinating journey of human psychology and technology Long before we had paved highways or smartphones human-shared folklore to warn each other of danger explain the inexplicable and enforce moral codes in Medieval Europe these took the form of fairy tales or cautionary fables about monsters in the deep woods like wolves masquerading as grandmothers As the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries drew millions of people away from rural farmlands and
Entipact smoky cities are folklore adapted to this new environment The terrifying deep dark woods were replaced by the dark narrow city alleyways This was the dawn of the urban legend folklore specifically tailored to city living crowded spaces and industrialized society For decades academics ignored modern stories bleeding that folklore was a dead art belong solely to a rule uneducated ancestors However, the mid-20th century Folklers realized that modern society was actively creating its own mythology The 1960s academics like Richard Dorsen began using terms like urban belief tales or modern legends to to describe these recurring contemporary rumors The shift scholars noticed that instead of vanishing in an era of science and literacy mythology had simply upgraded Instead of ghosts and haunted castles people were telling stories about ghostly hitchhikers
killers hiding the back seats of cars or Alligators lurking in the brand new sewer systems of New York The term urban legend was permanently cemented into global pop culture in 1981 thanks to a groundbreaking book titled the vanishing hitchhiker American urban legends and their meetings by American folklorists Jan Harold Brunvand Urban legends have a persistent hold on the imagination because they have an element of suspense or humor They are plausible and they have a moral Brunvand became a household name appearing on late night television and writing a syndicated newspaper columns to analyze these Too good to be true stories He categorized classic tropes like the babysitter and the man upstairs and the choking doberman Proving that these stories serve as cultural therapy Allowing us to collectively process fears about suburban safety Changing gender roles and the anxieties of parenting
Before the internet urban legends traveled slowly by word of mouth or via Xerox lore Photo copies of scary warning sheets passed around offices or chain letters or chain letters remember those Yeah, do not break these two The the Middle Revolution changed the speed of folklore forever the 1990s chain emails The early internet the early internet saw the rise of chain mails warning users about needles infected with HIV hidden in gas pumps or gang initiations about involving flashing or cargo headlights I know if I go back into my a well account. I probably have like a hundred of them from there The 2000s and 2010s creepy pastas With forms like Reddit, 4chan and creepy pastawiki urban legends became highly visual collaborative and fast-moving Legends like slender man the back rooms and siren head were born online spreading globally in days rather than decades
Today urban legends continue to adapt while the medium has changed from campfires of tiktok algorithms The human desire to share a story that begins with you won't believe what happened to my friend's friend Remains exactly the same The urban legend of resurrection Mary Is Chicago's most famous ghost story and arguably the most legendary vanishing hitchhiker tale in American folklore The legend dates back to the 1930s along archery avenue a stretch of road connecting will springs and justice Illinois According to the corollore Mary was a young Polish American woman who spent an evening in the early 1930s dancing with her boyfriend at the oh Henry Ballroom later renamed the Willbrook Ballroom At some point in the night the couple got into a heated argument and a furious Mary stormed under the hall to walk the long dark journey home Along archery avenue She did not make it far Before she was struck and killed in a tragic hit and run accident
Griefstrickin her parents buried her in a nearby resurrection cemetery Theying her to rust in the very same white-powered dressed and matching dancing shoes she wore on the night of her death Not long after her burial local mortars typically young solitary men driving northeast along archery avenue Late at night began reporting counters with a quiet beautiful young woman Dressed at an old-fashioned white ball gown and carrying a small clutch purse She would flag down drivers or be spotted Shivering on the roadside Those who picked her up describe her as polite but incredibly distant and cold to the touch She would instruct the driver to keep heading down archery avenue However as the car approached the towering the towering iron gates of resurrection cemetery She would suddenly become alert point toward the graveyard and demand to be let out Before the baffle driver could ask why she was getting out of the cemetery in the dead of the night She would vanish into thin air right before their eyes
Sometimes leaving her seat cold and always without the corridor opening Over the decades the myth of resurrection Mary has accumulated dozens of eerie documented encounters Transcending mere playground gossip to involve police officers truck drivers and skeptical caddies In 1973 a local taxi driver famously entered a lounge across the street from the cemetery demanding to know where the young blonde woman went who had just fled his cab without paying her fair Only to be told no one had walked in Perhaps the most chilling physical element of the legend occurred in August 1976 When witnesses reported seeing a woman locked inside the cemetery clutching the iron gates When police arrived the area was completely deserted But two of the heavy bronze bars on the gate had been pried apart Bearing the distinct seared in texture of two delicate female handprints burned directly into the metal
The local historians have proposed real-life candidates for a Mary such as Mary Pregopi a 21-year-old killed in a 1934 car crash Her true identity remains a mystery allowing her restless elegant spirit to keep her eternal quite vigil Along archery avenue Do you guys believe that story? I want to yeah me too same Yeah, like I always drive it down roads. I'm like I wonder who like like come on somebody show up Anybody like was it not like a real person yeah Yeah, you know my mom Told me a story when she was driving back from our cousins in the city. It was late at night. It was like 12 30 o'clock And she was driving down the Edens and got to Just north of Lake Cook Road And she saw a woman walk across the expressway
And right before she got to where the woman was she disappeared And I'm like fuck why can't that happen to me. I want to see shit like that Craig, Craig Craig So do they even still call it the Edens? Yeah I just I don't know if I've heard it on the news usually I just hear them say 94 Yeah, yeah, they still call the Edens. I feel like going the low I know I know they did when I was younger. I think I'm just we're just that old now We are maybe they say We are what station who is talking because some people will go back and forth of it Yeah, my gosh. Yeah, I don't know. I don't listen to radio anymore. It's all it's a dead media Yeah, I mean it's all podcasts and like Spotify music The stations so same So your mom told you she saw someone yeah, how old were you? I was I was probably like five or six years old What it happened she told me when I was probably teens early 20s I would say
So my guess a warning like don't drive down the lead just because you're gonna see your yeah Now we're just telling stories and that was when she told them That's cool. Yeah, she and staffer are so rude No So the legend of the vanishing hitchhiker is one of the oldest most widely told urban legends in modern history Serving as the classic archetype for ghost stories of the road The tale typically begins in a dark rainy night is a lonely driver travels down a desolate stretch of highway Through the downpour the cars headlights illuminate a young woman standing on a shoulder of the road Shivering in a pale dress Feeling a sense of pity the driver pulls over and offers her a ride The silent somber girl climbs into the passenger seat or the back Given the driver an address to a home just a few miles away Along the journey she remains remarkably quiet Often prompting the driver to lend her his jacket to protect her from the chill The supernatural twist occurs when the car finally pulls up to the destination
The driver trudged around to tell the passenger they have arrived only to find the seat completely empty The girl has vanished into thin air Occasionally leaving behind the biodech at folded neatly in the seat Perplex and deeply unsettled the driver walks up to the house and knocks him door An elderly parent or resident answers and when the driver describes the young woman their residents face pales They softly explain that the girl fits the exact description of their daughter Who was tragically killed in a car accident and that very stretch of road years ago On this exact date In some chilling versions of the story the driver later visits the local cemetery only to find his borrowed jacket Dripped carefully over her headstone Confirming that he had shared his car with a wandering soul Man, I want that to happen to me. I know Me too. Well, I wanted to happen to me as well, but I want to happen you too So that I can at least tell the story you wouldn't believe what happened to my friend My friends friend. Well, you're my friends. So it's one friend room
Okay, yeah Like that like a first cousin that a second cousin exactly You know the ice you can marry them second cousins this is true. You could marry second cousins Creepy and I'm just happy. I don't have any attractive cousins. They all look like me So you cousins do look like each other. I know kind of creepy. We have we have do we have strong jeans It's aliens have strong jeans Levi's are true religion I Were lucky. Dungery done. I were lucky. Look I'm there to me. I do just because just because when you unzip it's there's the little thing that says lucky you And it really is yeah, I'll show you next time you know show me when you're wearing different pants No, I don't need to see anymore than me free. This is why you should keep your eyes open when I unzip okay. Don't just close them
Nope, I'm closing them All right, so next is the legend of bloody Mary the legend of blood blamery is one of the most famous sleepover rituals in mirror summing myths in western folklore dating back to at least the mid 20th century The ritual itself is simple yet deeply unnerving a brave soul must stand alone in a pitch black bathroom Illuminated only by a flicker of a single candle facing the mirror you must stare deeply into your own reflection in chamter name bloody Mary repeat bloody Mary bloody Mary Usually three 13 or even a hundred times depending on the local variation I would lose track if it was a hundred times. Why don't you same feel like every I want to checkers 13 Yeah, well, yeah, you would yes, I would get to like six me wait a number of my other yeah, yeah, yeah Is that why you you only think you have six toes is because you just forget what you're at when you're counting
No, cuz may I only have up to five toes in each foot so I count one foot at a time up to you will have up to That's a weird way of saying that I only have up to two eyes and As the final words leave your lips the atmosphere in the room is said to grow freezing cold and the reflection in the glass begins to warp From the darkness of the mirrors silver backing the ghastly blood-drunch spirit of a vengeful woman is said to emerge Ready to scream at the summoner? Scratch their face, curse them or claw her way out of the glass to drag them into the mirror world forever Historically, I historically the identity of Bloody Mary is tied to a mix of real historical figures in ancient folklore Many link her to Queen Mary the first of England the devout Catholic monarch who earned nickname Bloody Mary After she ordered the executions of hundreds of Protestants at the stake and whose tragic life was plagued by phantom pregnancies and the inability to produce an error
Others connect the spirit of to Mary worth a legendary witch from the Salem trials or to Elizabeth Bathory the Hungarian Countess infamous for bathing the blood of young girls to preserve her youth Long before she became a terrifying monster the Miriam was actually a harmless divination ritual practiced by young women in the early 19 hundreds They would walk backward upstairs carrying a candle and a mirror hoping to catch a glimpse of their future Husbands face in the glass But if they saw a skull instead it meant they were destined to die before they would wed Today science explains the terrifying results of the game through the kaputo effect a psychological optical illusion We're staring into a mirror and low light causes the brain's facial recognition system to misinterpret shadows Making your own face appear to melt distort and morph into monstrous terrifying stranger What was that mirror thing we did at the Palmer yeah, it was uh, what was it called because it seems concept it was no
Hold on hold on hold on it was Ah shit Because like they had like the mirror and they put like it's kind of like scrant I in a way, but it's like yeah, it is kind of it is basically shrine but it's the term for it. Yeah, they gave it an actual name Fuck I can't remember I wish Dave Shrater was here to tell us Oh Divination No, I knew it might come to me later Yeah, but people will receive like themselves, but then also they see like a face pop Byte behind them sometimes. Oh, they see their face this figured. So this is a story that he told During friend of a friend. No, no, no, no, he told the Steve. Yeah. Yeah, he told the story I was being funny. Nice. No, you're not Stop the little net Love you But he was during during that weekend. He told the story so There was a lady that was too scared to go there by herself, but wanted to do it
So she begged him to go with her and being the same in the room with her And he's like no, it's not gonna work. This is not you know, you're supposed to be alone that uh She finally convinced them So They go in the room. He takes a chair puts it off to the side and sits net while she does the scrying Two things happened the first one was he looked To his left away from the mirror and the woman And he saw what he thought was a shadow person And he's sitting there and he's looking it's like he rubs his eyes thinking it's you know It's it's just his eyes and then he looks again and the shadow person Leans down towards him to look at him better and then stands right back up So he was a little freaked out So then he's You know, he looks away. He's concentrating on on the mirror and he's you know, try to see if he could see anything He sees a boy in the lower right corner of the mirror
Pop it in the mirror pop his head up Look around and pop and pop his head back down and goes away And he's like what the fuck am I seeing today? The lady goes did you see the little boy too? Hmm, so those are really cool stories. I just want something like that to happen Anything Traxular effects effects no, that wasn't it. No, it's not it Trogdoy's Okay, so our next urban legend the urban legend of blue baby sometimes called baby blue or Blue baby blue is a terrifying playground ritual that functions as a dark modern offshoot of the classic bloody marimeth To summon the entity a person must enter a fogged up bathroom alone Turn off all the lights and stand directly in front of the mirror Lock the door peer into the dark glass and cradle your arms in front of your chest as if you're holding a newborn infant
While gently walking your empty arms back and forth you must repeat the phrase blue baby blue baby exactly 13 times According to the legend as the chant progresses you will suddenly begin to feel an invisible chilling weight materialize in your arms Growing heavier and heavier with each passing second as the spectral form of an infant begins to take shape The true danger of the ritual lies in what happens if you hold onto the phantom for too long If you not quickly drop the invisible baby into the toilet and flush it away The weight will become unbearable and scratches will begin to tear across your arms What I mean, it's not a dead goal. I've never heard of this one I've heard of this but I've never heard that last part of dropping it into the toilet like a dead fish I yeah, that was a part that I'm like I remember like we were talking about in sleep all of you and stuff whenever the toilet part like I'm like that one was different Yeah, that's weird
Suddenly the mirror will warp and the hideous shrieking woman the baby's ventral mother often equated to bloody Mary herself Will materialize in the glass If you're still holding her child she will scream a deafening whale shattered the mirror and violently attack you to reclaim her baby This playground myth plays masterfully on the human's brain susceptibility to sensory deprivation Standing in a pitch black humid room while rocking arms induces physical fatigue and trick of the light hallucinations Transforming a childhood game into a spine-chilling psychological experience I think we should do a YouTube Video of us doing all these urban legends Yeah, what do you think? You do that really you guys are Respectfully in your thirties and forties and you won't do this Some of these urban legends that we have a red yet are kind of creepy. Yeah, but that's that's I don't know if I want to risk that you don't want to risk it
She's Well, not hey these stories come from somewhere so The net I don't know I was just thinking last night I It was time for bed and I needed chapsick and I had to walk into my bathroom in the dark And I'm looking at the floor avoiding looking at the mirror. I did it every night And then when I had to wake up in the middle of night to go to the bathroom and the night before like I was I think it was like Changing in my pajamas or whatever and there was a mirror at then the The closet and I was like nope got to get away from the mirror can't get changed in front of the mirror in the middle of the dark Don't want to be caught with my pants down and a ghost come and scratch me Jesus You guys I swear you the places your mind goes is amazing Because I get Yeah There is a mirror Facing the bed on our big dress you should never ever do that
There's another mirror on the closet wall that's long and then you know and then our Master bathroom. There's a mirror there. So like within a 10 foot vicinity I have three mirrors. I get up every night. I look into them as I walk to go pee and nothing happens Well, no wonder you're not sleeping very well your soul is getting lost in the mirrors Oh my gosh That's why you want to see a demon so bad you want to get your soul back I have no soul to sell It's not that you sold it you gave it away for free in the sleepy time You know, I can't take you seriously when you use the phrase sleepy time Good I'm trying to keep you on your toes. All right. Thank you the urban legend of the rumour son Also known as the bath game Is a highly interactive and dangerous game of paranormal hide and seek originating from Japanese internet forums To begin the ritual you must wait until just before midnight
strip naked and sit in a bathtub filled with water in a completely dark bathroom Closing your eyes tightly you begin to wash your hair while repeating the phrase Daruma son fell down over and over As you chant you must visualize a young woman slipping in a tub Falling headfirst onto a rusty tap and having her right eye up hailed Ah, what why why I don't know why if the ritual is successful You will feel a sudden icy presence in the water next to you and you might hear the splashing of a phantom companion Without opening your eyes or looking behind you you must carefully stand up Exit the tub and leave the bathroom locking the door behind you Once you go to sleep the real and terrifying game begins the moment you wake up the following morning For the neck for the entire next day the ghostly apparition of the one-eyed woman will follow you wherever you go
While you must never look directly at her you will catch unsettling glimpses of her pale form in your peripheral vision Standing closer to you every time you try to look over your shoulder If you feel she has gotten dangerously close you must turn toward her direction Shout tamaray Which is stop and run immediately to put distance between you The ultimate goal of the game is to survive until just before midnight without letting her catch you To end the ritual you must catch a glimpse of her one last time Slice your hand downward in a chopping motion as if severing an invisible thread and yell catah Which means I cut you loose If you fail to cut her loose before midnight or if she manages to touch you at any point during the day She will drag you back into the dark bathroom and pull you into her watery grave forever Time you somebody is a creepy. That is also. I don't know if that would make good youtube content of you just sleeping
In a tub. I mean I think I think people would love to see me get naked and get into the tub. Don't you? No, no some people might I look just like Peter Griffin So thanks for the visual anytime Wow, I caught with that off guard. I know She's laughing because it's true You know, so I got I got called into a meeting last week In the meeting was or two vps or three vps the president's and We were we're making some system changes. So they wanted like mine and my counterparts input on it
And so you know, so we had the meeting and I always you guys know I always make jokes So I made a joke and I made the young VP like Belly laugh out loud and whenever whenever I do that. I think to myself. I still got it You know, so so whenever I make some belly laugh like like when that you know, I'm like I still got I still got my sense of humor Yeah Funny but true. Yeah, I wish I could do the voice if I could do the voice it would be so much fun here So should practice that yeah the urban legend of the elevator game is a chilling Paranormal ritual originating from east Asian online forums like South Korea's 2chan Functioning as a step-by-step procedure to travel to a parallel dimension known as the other world To play us to play a single brave participant must enter a building at least 10 stories high Late at night and board an elevator completely alone
The player must then press the buns in a precise unalterable order first visiting the fourth second second 10th and finally fifth floor Without stepping off or letting anyone else enter The psychological tension reaches its peak on the fifth floor where a mysterious woman will step into the elevator with you The central and most crucial rule of the entire game is that you must never look at her acknowledge your presence or speak to her under any circumstances Despite her normal human appearance she is an empathy from the other side In speaking to her ensures you will never return to reality Once the woman enters on the fifth floor you must press the button for the first floor to trigger the final test If the elevator ignores your command and begins to ascend toward the 10th floor instead The ritual has worked and you are officially crossing over
When the door is slightly open on the 10th floor you step out into the other world A eerie dark mirror image of your building where all the lights are dead No electronics function and the windows reveal a sky bathed in the faint red glow Players are warned that navigating this silent dimension is extraordinarily dangerous As mysterious woman from the elevator will actively follow you To return home you must get back into the exact same elevator Repeat the complex floor sequence in reverse And pray that the threshold between the mentions opens back up to your original reality Question yeah, they are famous death on the building was lamb At least do you think this is what she was doing? You know, I was thinking about that as I was reading it as well Yeah, I've always thought like every single time I like this like where religion comes up Like I'm always like my first death was yours actually was doing yeah I don't know who or what you're talking about. Oh, never really slam. Yeah, so it's the story of Lisa lamb at the um
What's that famous hotel? Oh In California I even had that serial killer that one there. Yeah, yeah, and she was found in the water tower And they had that weird elevator footage of her. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. Yeah Hmm. Yeah, I was thinking that too And like what if she did do it and And she was of Asian descent even though she she was from Canada She was of Asian descent and when so what if she was doing that and her reality shifted but just You know just in her view Right her lure what she sees, but she was still in Our reality to be seen and witnessed by cameras Interesting. Yeah, I try this one. Yeah Yeah, I'm okay. I would be too scared not to not forget about what the sequence was and then Trying to reverse it Well, all you all you gotta do is basically just the tower of terror. Yes Yeah, all you have to do is just write down this sequence
forward and then write it again backwards So you always have that with you you don't have to remember on your hand. Yeah You don't have to remember it or like tattoo it on your forearm and my other thing would be like don't look at her Don't look at lady don't look at the lady don't look at the lady I would probably that's also written on your hand. I would probably like look at her and then punch her in the face See if she's real, you know I'll have this actually And then now you're on the news for assault. Yeah Oh, that'd be that would be bad and funny I So you were gonna be like watching a news crack it up. Oh, we can free did it you really did it so sorry. I'm so sorry The urban legend of Tor no Hana ko son So that's Hanako son of the toilet Is what are the most pervasive and iconic ghostly tales in Japanese schools dating back to the 1950s
While there are several regional variations regarding her tragic origins The most common stories claim she was either a young girl who was killed during World War 2 air raid while hiding in a school restroom Or a student who took her own life to do extreme bullying or domestic abuse This sounds like moaning mortal. Oh, you're gonna have to tell that Unless you're if I know that one It's Harry Potter. Oh Harry Potter moaning, Murdo she died in a girl's bathroom. I She malls and she was getting bullied. Yeah, I don't watch Harry Potter Yeah, you can read Harry Potter too. I can't read you know, he doesn't read So bound to the physical world by her traumatic end Hanako son is said to haunt the third stall of the girl's restroom on the third floor of elementary and junior high schools across the country That is totally moaning mortal They know she was the original The legend still live from Harry Potter. I don't know about that
Uh-huh. So she is typically depicted as a quiet pale young school girl with a classic bob haircut wearing a vintage bright red skirt To summon the ghostly child brave students will enter the restroom alone or in groups of friends Walk up to the designated toilet stall Knock on the wooden door exactly three times and call out and call out are you there Hanako son If she is present a quiet hollow voice from inside the empty stall will answer yes. I am In most versions of the legend a student who dares to open the door after hearing her reply will find themselves staring directly at a pale girl Who will swiftly drag them down into the toilet bowl or pull them into another dimension In other darker variations of the myth the door creaks open to reveal a giant decaying or blood soap hand That burst out of the plumbing to seize the collar ensuring that generation after generation of Japanese school children tried very
Carefully when using the restroom at school That's just silly You know Like she's gonna take you and jump in the toilet bowl Like come on You're just like it because that's the do the toilet. No Not even a little bit. I think that's just real stupid Okay, so let's see next the urban legend of the Charlie Charlie challenge became a massive global phenomenon. Oh, I remember this in the spring of 2015 dominating school yards and social media feeds as a modern digitized variation of the classic Ouija board The legend claims that players can communicate with the restless spirit of a young Mexican boy named Charlie by constructing a simple homemade divination grid To play divide a piece of paper into four quadrants writing the words yes and no in alternating corners And then perfectly balance two pencils on top of each other to form a cross directly over the central lines
Once the setup is complete players chant the invocation Charlie Charlie are you there? or Charlie Charlie can we play and wait and hush silence If the spirit is present and wishes to communicate the top pencil will slowly pivot on its access to point directly at yes Opening up a gateway for players to ask the ghost questions about their future While the internet myth claimed the game was based on an ancient dangerous Mexican ritual The entire legend was actually a brilliantly timed viral marketing hooks In reality, there is no demon named Charlie in next in folklore And the sudden explosion of the challenge was highly fueled by an upcoming horror movie called the gallows Which featured a supernatural entity of the same name From a scientific standpoint the eerie moving of the pencils has nothing to do with ghost or demons But is instead caused by basic physics and gravity Because the top pencil is balanced on an incredibly narrow rounded surface
The structure is completely unstable The slightest internal draft a slight tilt of the table even the heavy anxious breathing of the players gathered around the paper Is enough to break the friction and cause the pencil to spin Despite being thoroughly debunked the psychological thrill of the game Combined with viral reaction videos of terrified teenagers screaming running out of dark rooms Made it one of the defining digital urban legends of the 2010s You guys remember that I do I don't I don't but that would be a good tool to use for Go starting parallel one investigation. Yeah. Yeah Just don't have anxious heavy breathing. Yeah, no heavy breathing What are you? Hey, there's one at home Hahaha, I'm gonna hell good jeep at ecchi I hope so The legend of Kuchisaki Oda began to spread across Japan like wildfire in the late 1970s
Turning quiet suburban streets into zones of absurd dread According to the tale a person walking alone at night often the school child heading home after cram school What the hell is cram school? Hahaha What is cram school? Yeah, Google I'm assuming it's a study group, but it just doesn't sound very A cram school is known as ju-ju-ju kuu Is probably run after school institution with students study academic subjects to catch up get ahead or prepare for Oh, so it's squint of after school. It's more school Pretty much all right, so usually from cram school will notice a slender woman approaching through the shadows She wears a long trench coat in a surgical mask a common sight in Japan used to ward off sickness As she steps directly into your path blocking her escape She looks you in the eyes and asks you a soft polite in a soft light boys Am I beautiful? If you answer no she immediately pulls a massive pair of rustic scissors from her code and stabs you to death
If you answer yes, she slowly reaches up and peels back the mask revealing that her mouth has been horrifically slashed from ear to ear Exposing a bloody gaping grin of teeth and muscle She then tilt your head looks at you looks at your terrified reaction and asked with chilling calmness even now answering no at this point results in being sliced in half while answering yes Prompts her to use your scissors to cut your own mouth from ear to ear so you can share her terrible fate Okay, so there's no winning here No, like your fault Yeah, this is one of those I write. I'm like I would hate to be in that situation So I just read it away The tragic origins of the vengeful spirit or on on a real date back to the high-end period She was once a breathtakingly beautiful woman married to a proud samurai Vane and unfaithful she was eventually caught in her betrayal by her husband Consumed by jealous theory the samurai used a sword to slash her face from cheek to cheek
Screaming who will think you're beautiful now After she died her spirit returned to the living world her vanity twisted into a murderous obsession In modern times school trodden quickly figured out that the only way to survive her deadly game was to confuse her with big answers Like you look average or to throw sweet hard candies at her feet distracting her just long enough to run into the safety of the bright City lights that'll be willing to throw you somebody at her feet Like I'd be like yeah, you could look at her but like you know six or seven six seven So the legend of L. Silbon the Whistler Originate in the vast flat plans of Los Llanos a region spanning Venezuela and Colombia Long after a young man lived there who was utterly spoiled demanding and prone to violent outbursts
One evening and he insisted on eating deer entrails for dinner They're entrails Jeff pieces like the colon and intestines and yeah, so almost species. I mean just where they It created yeah, yeah, his loving father took his wifeful and went out to hunt But after hours of searching he returned empty handed and rage by his father's failure the son flew into a murderous frenzy Attacked his father and brutally killed him You then carved out his father's organs and brought them to his mother to cook Suspecting something terrible the mother tasted the meat realized it was not deer and discovered the truth She cursed her son in the depths of hell Or to the depths of hell to seal the curse the boy's grandfather tied him to a post Whipped him mercilessly rubbed burning hot peppers into his open wounds and unleashed a pack of rabid dogs The hunt him into the willingness for eternity Now El Subon wonders the dusty roads and dark plains as a terrifying skeletal giant standing over six feet tall
Wearing a tattered wide brim straw hat and carrying a heavy burlap sack over his shoulder Inside that sack are the bones of his father and some say the bones of the victims He has slaughtered along his path. He is known to slip into houses in the dead of night Settling his sack on the floor to count the bones. I mean, how can you not laugh at that? I mean I settle my sack in a lot of places Of course you do If someone in the house wakes up and hears them the family will be blessed with good fortune But if everyone remains asleep one of them will die before the sun rises For travelers outdoors his presence is signaled by distinctive melodic whistle that slowly climbs the musical You know This whistle carries a sinister acoustic trick designed to lure victims into a false sense of security If you hear the melody loud and clear as if it's right next to your ear
You are actually safe because El Subon is far off the distance However, if the whistling sounds incredibly faint Muffel and miles away you must run immediately because the giant is standing right behind you in the dark Prepare and strike Well, that's a cool little twister. I like that You know All right, thanks for the TV back guys. You're welcome The legend of La La Launa the Weeping Woman is one of the most famous and deeply feared stories in Mexican and Southwestern American folklore Serving as both a terrifying ghost story and a cautionary tale for children According to the legend a beautiful but impoverished young woman named Maria fell in love with a wealthy handsome nobleman who passed through her village Enchanted by her beauty he married her and they had two beautiful children However the husband's affection eventually waned and he began spending months away from home ignoring Maria entirely
While only showering attention on their children One evening as Maria walked near a river with her children She saw her husband riding in a carriage with a wealthy high society woman Left heartbroken humiliated and consumed by a sudden bleeding fury Maria go out to her to her to Vita go out to her two children And threw them into the Russian river Only once she saw their small bodies being carried away by the current did the madness lift Leaving her in an agony of regret Sharan along the riverbank weeping and screaming for them, but it was too late overcome by grief and guilt Maria drowned herself in that very same waters When Rhea reached the gates of heaven she was stopped and asked where are your children Unable to answer she was cursed to return to the mortal realm as a wandering, whaling spirit forbidden from entering the afterlife until she could find her drowned sons Ever since she has haunted the edges of rivers lakes and dark canals
Easily recognizable by her Tattered soaking wet white gown and her long dark hair Her sorrowful cries of I may he hauls or owe my children I go through the night bringing an immediate chill to anyone who hears them Children are warned never to wander near the water or stay out past dark If La La Rona encounters a child in the shadows Her grief crazed mine will mistake them for her own lost sons She will drag them down into the watery depths and drown them repeating her tragic crime over and over for eternity She needs counseling Yeah, it just little So I just find it Funny how like all the women always are always wearing a white flowing down Great You know so If she was wearing like like I don't know like Jean Well I have it You know, it jeans in a flannel
Why can't it be like a blue gown? You know, not Just jeans in a flannel, you know, she's the she she's got the grunge look looking from 1991 She got jenko's on This is Zekeverrichi All right, the legend of the Kuna Kuhn Which is to wiggle or to twist Is a chilling modern Japanese internet legend that first emerged on online forums in the early 2000s The story typically begins in a hot, oppressive summer day in rural Japan Where a traveler or a child looking across a vast shimmering rice field Notice is a strange anomaly in the distance Standing a mist degree is a tall, slender, snow white silhouette That resembles a human figure Or a long strip of fabric What immediately catches the observer's attention is its motion Even on a completely still sweltering day with no breeze This pale entity is wiggling Twisting and vibrating frantically from side to side with an unnatural fluid speed
The true horror of the Kuna Kuhn Lies in the fatal trap of human curiosity From a distance the figure is harmless And those who simply ignore it or walk away remains entirely safe However, the bizarre hypnotic movement of the white shape almost always compels observers To try and get closer look In many versions of the tale a curious onler on looker will also Will use a pair of binoculars or zoom in close with camera lens to try and decipher what the strange object is The exact moment the observer's eyes focus in their brain comprehends that the Kuna Kuhn Actually looks like their mind Oh, well, I'm sorry what the Kuna Kuhn actually looks like They're mind instantly stamps They are driven into a state of permanent historical madness I'm sorry hysterical madness. I'm having another stroke Oh no you must have selected the Kuna Kuhn I took a look and I liked what I said Often laughing hysterically or screaming in terror completely unable to communicate what they saw
In some tragic variations of the legend if you get too close to the Kuna Kuhn or try to touch it It will kill you instantly Even those who survived nearest presence as hollow mindless shells for the rest of their lives This thing would kill me. Yeah, I'm so curious and I'm always peeping out the window with camera Yeah, I'm with you The urban legend of the midnight game is a highly detailed ritualistic creepy pasta that emerged on internet forums in the late 2000s Presented as an ancient pagan punishment for those who broke sacred tribal laws The legend outlines a terrifying game of hiding seek played inside a completely dark house with a malevolent and the known as the Midnight Man To be in the ritual you must write your name on a piece of paper Place a single drop of your own blood on it and place it directly in front of a closed wooden door At exactly 12 a.m. You light a single candle
Place it on top of the paper and knock on the wooden door exactly 22 times Finishing the final knock precisely before the clock strikes 12.01 a.m You then open door blow out your candle and close it again An act that effectively summons the midnight man and allows him to cross over into your home Once doors closed you must immediately relight your candle and begin wandering through your pitch black house constantly moving to avoid being caught The objective is to sue survive until exactly 3.33 a.m. without letting the midnight man touch you His press his presence is signaled by sudden freezing drops in temperature A low haunting whisper echoing through the dark or a shadowy figure moving just at the edge of your vision If your candle suddenly goes out it means he is standing directly in front of you and you have exactly 10 seconds to relight it If you fail to get the flame burning again in time you must immediately pour a
Perfect circle salt around yourself and remain absolutely still inside it If you step outside the salt circle or if you fail to create One in time the midnight man will attack subject you to vivid hallucinations of your deepest most agonizing fears Or violently ripping your organs out one by one until the game officially ends at sunrise That sounds like a deep fear that yeah, I do not want my organs Just ripped out of me No The urban legend of Tiki Tiki is one of Japan's most fast-paced and terrifying ghost stories Centering in a young a schoolgirl named Riko Kashima According to the legend Riko Was walking home late one night when she was ambushed by a group of cruel boys on a railway bridge In her desperate attempt to escape she tripped and fell onto the train tracks below just as an oncoming train Rored toward the station Before she could climb to safety the heavy train ran over slicing her body completely in half at the waist
Left to die a slow agonizing death in dark her immense pain Terror and fury transformed her into an unro a highly aggressive ventual spirit Crushed to wander the dark streets and railway stations of Japan Because she has no lower half the spirit is forced to drag herself along the concrete using only her hands elbows or sharp claws As she moves her torso scraping against the pavement makes a very distinct rhythmic clicking sound that resembles the syllables Tiki Tiki Tiki If you hear the scratching noise echoing behind you on a lonely road at night you must run immediately Despite her lack of legs Tiki Tiki is a naturally and terrifyingly fast Easily capable of keeping pace with a speeding car or spinning or sprinting Upflight to stairs If she catches up to you she will drag you down and use a giant scythe Or her bare hands to slice you completely in half at the waist
Dooming you to suffer the exact same disfigurement that ended her mortal life So do you think you need to zigzag? Oh like a when you're running away from her. Yeah, probably I mean, I wonder how good she is at changing directions. She can't be that good, right? I but think if you're dragging your body behind it's Tiki Tiki tricky. I mean, can you imagine like the arms on this woman? They have to be massive For her to be able to sprint as fast as cars Yeah, I would not want to arm wrestle her Ha ha ha ha ha Yeah, the good muscles with that. Yeah Tiki Tiki The urban legend of the buddy man This is a weird one So the legend of the buddy man centers on a creepy concrete way away underpass and cliff in Virginia Known locally as the buddy man bridge According to local lore the legend began in 1904 when an asylum in nearby Fairfax County
Was shut down due to public outcry During the transfer of the patients to a new facility the transport bus crashed Along several inmates to escape into the surrounding woods While search parties successfully recaptured most of them two men Marcus Wastor and Douglas Griffin managed to evade the authorities As a please search the forest over the following weeks they began finding hundreds of skinned half-eaten rabbit Cargoses hanging from branches of trees Particularly around the railway bridge Eventually Wastor was found dead under the orpass Hanging in a similar fashion to the rabbits The police closed in on Griffin But as they corner him on the train tracks above the bridge and oncoming trains struck and killed him The legend warns that if you walk through the concrete tunnel at midnight The ghost of the buddy man will appear behind you Drust in a filthy homemade white rabbit suit clutching a gleaming hatchet to slashoot a death
Like Donnie Darko Yes, that's exactly what I thought of as well What makes this legend uniquely spine-chilling is that while the 1904 asylum bus crash is entirely made up The buddy man is rooted in terrifying documented real-world events In October of 1970 Fairfax County police received two highly bizarre and alarming reports In the first incident engaged couple parked the car near the bridge at night Saw a figure emerged from the woods wearing a white suit with long bunny ears The man screamed at them for trespassing on his land and threw a metal hatchet straight through their car window before Advancing back into the shadows Only a week later a security guard patrolling in nearby construction site encountered the very same figure Described as a man in a gray black and white rabbit suit Chapping at a wooden porch post with a long handled axe While the mysterious attacker was never identified or caught by the police his real-life antics forever solidified
The buddy man bridges one of America's most haunted and dangerous roads We should go to Virginia Okay Man they were furries before it was even furries were You know I I'm so curious. I want to go to like a furry convention Like why not to like make fun or anything but like to like to see what it's all about I know but if you're not part of them then you're making fun of them No, no, why I'm just curious. I'm just that curious. I'm just curious what it's all about like I want to like Have real conversations with them. I Well, I would like you to go to one and have a microphone set up on you so you can cord your conversations Yeah, I'm yeah, I'm good with all this So I sort of know what you say to them. It's curiosity You know, now will I end up making fun of a couple of them for being that weird? Yes But not because they're furries just because of whatever else is going on in their head Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah
So the legend of the deer woman sometimes known as the deer lady is a powerful shape-shipping spirit deeply embedded in the oral histories and moral frameworks of various indigenous peoples of North America including the Cherokee Muskegee, Ojibwee, and Chaktao Oh boy. She is described as an extraordinary beautiful Ethereal young woman with dark mesmerizing eyes and long flowing hair who typically makes her presence known near the margins of the wilderness Along dusty dirt roads at the edges of dark forests or even blending into tribal dancing dances and social gatherings Her beauty is so profound that it acts as a hypnotic spell drawing in anyone who catches her gaze and completely blinding them to their surroundings However, she always wears a long flowing skirt or dress or stands strategically behind bushes to conceal a terrifying physical detail Instead of human she has a tail
Instead of having human feet her legs terminate in the sharp clobin hooves of a deer In indigenous like a fawn. Yeah And In indigenous lore the deer woman is not a random monster But a powerful guardian of the natural and moral order who serves as both a protector of women and a lethal judge of men She is equal girl. Yeah, she is said to specifically target men who are unfaithful to their partners abusive to women or greedy and destructive to the earth She uses her irresistible beauty to lure these men deep into the woods Far away from any help Once they are entirely isolated her enchanting human disguise slips away revealing her primal half-deer nature She will stomp her victim to death with her sharp hooves Leave them to die of exposure or curse them with a lingering man is to cause them to waste away until they perish
Those who are respectful honest and kind she poses no threat Though the elders warn that if you ever spot a beautiful stranger walking alone in dark road You must always look down at her feet first to make sure she walks in human souls before you speak to her That's weird Otherwise, she'll be stopping on your soul. That's right These boots were made for walking These hooves were made for walking these hooves were made for walking and they'll stomp all over you The modern urban legend of the back rooms began in May 2019 When an anonymous user posted an unsettling photograph of an empty idly angled hallway on the online forum for a chance asking others to share photos that felt off The legend posits that our physical reality is much like a poorly coded video game If you're not careful and accidentally No clip glitching directly through solid walls, floors or doors, in the wrong places
You will slip out of our world entirely Instead of falling into an empty void you wake up trapped in the back rooms And infinite non-euclidean labyrinth of empty office spaces This purgatoryle dimension is characterized by three highly distinct manning features The nauseating stale smell of damp rotten carpet Minotinous sickly hue of pale yellow wallpaper And the relentless deafening hum of old fluorescent ceiling lights That sounds like hell it does if there is a hell that's what it looks like That's my hell The hate lights All right, you know what they say beauty is a light switch away. So No, you know The psychological horror of the back rooms lies in its absolute isolation and the concept of liminal spaces Places of transition like empty school hallways are quiet airport terminals and night that feel deeply unnatural when devoid of human activity
As you wander aimlessly through the endless identical rooms time loses all meeting and the constant high pitched buzz of the lights slowly drives you to the brink of insanity I Were you gonna say something sorry no? I'm just hearing the noise in my head. It's already jumping me insane In the collaborative internet lore that has grown around a legend this initial maze is known as level zero While some online creators have expanded the mythos to include hundreds of increasingly bizarre levels and Hostel shadowing entities that hunt you in the dark The original and most terrifying version of the story promises that you are entirely alone There are no monsters to jump out at you There is only the creeping agonizing realization that you are trapped forever in a sterile corporate and eternity And if you hear something moving nearby It is probably just the sound of your own mind unraveling Yeah, this is a little nuts nightmare. Yeah, it is
Do you ever see the movie Joe versus the volcano? Nope, never heard of it Lynette you know my answer So the frick are you talking about it's like the late 80s Maybe early 90s and it's with Tom Hanks and who's the chick from Oh god, uh Jody Foster, no, I'm making it up. No Who's the chicken sleepless in Seattle No clue What is the movie called what in the volcano? Joe versus the volcano Why can't I say a pronoun? She's also in the movie you've got mail 1990s mega Ryan. Ryan. Thank you So Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are in it and like Tom Hanks is working in this like office just like that the buzzing lights and He's told he has a brain Brain fog which is like a cancer and Yeah, absurdity ensues after that But it's a fun little movie you guys should check it out
The urban legend of the Momo challenge began to spread like wildfire across theater that around 2018 rapidly evolving into a global moral panic that terrified parents in schools According to the legend a sinister ending known as Momo represented by a deeply unsettling bird-like creature with bulging eyes Stringy hair in a wide distorted smile would contact children through messaging app like WhatsApp or hide within popular children's videos on YouTube The story claimed that Momo would send horrific violent images to the children Threatened them with supernatural harm if they told their parents and command them to compete complete a series of dangerous self-destructive tasks The legend insisted that if a child refused to obey these orders Momo would curse them or track them down in their in the real world creating an environment of intense fear that led to viral warnings being shared by thousands of concerned adults
However, the Momo challenge is a classic example of modern digital age hoax A moral panic that had no basis in reality There was never any credible evidence that Momo was actually contacting children Nor were they confirmed reports of children being harmed as a result of such a challenge The terrifying face that became the icon of the panic was actually a photograph of a sculpture titled mother bird Created by Japanese special effects artist Kisuku Isol for an art gallery years before the hoax began The image was taken out of context stripped of its artistic origin and repurposed by trolls and fear mongers to create a viral sensation The challenge became a self-fulfilling prophecy as news outlets and frantic parents shared warnings about it They unintentionally popularized this legend making it feel real to millions of people Even though the entity itself existed only as an image on a screen
I do remember that do you guys? I still have the her image in my head while you were talking about the whole thing Yeah, it is a creepy image. I've seen it Yeah So the urban legend of siren head is a uniquely modern digital myth born in 2018 the mind of Canadian horror illustrator Trevor Henderson Who's found footage style artwork when viral across social media According to a legend siren head is a 40-foot tall skeletal creature with highly disproportionate limbs in mummified rust-colored skin That clings tightly to its metallic frame It is a master of camouflage typically lurking in dense heavily wooded forests or rural areas Where its immense height and spiny body allow it to blend perfectly with the tall trunks of dead trees What replaces its head is It is most horrifying and defining feature a long metal pole like neck topped with a pair of rusted industrial strength ill-rate sirens
Attached to the sirens are fleshy tooth-filled mouths and wires that act as vocal cords allowing the creature to project sounds of an unimaginable volume Instead of hunting like a traditional beast siren head praise and the psychological vulnerability of its victims through acoustic trickery It will stand completely motionless in the woods for days waiting for hikers, campers or lost travelers to wander nearby When prey is close the creature begins broadcasting a deeply unsettling array of sounds through its speakers Distorting a more emergency radio broker broadcasts blaring ill-rate alarms white noise and most terrifyingly The panicked voices of its previous victims calling out for help The victims are lured toward these familiar human voices only to realize too late the sounds coming from high up in the tree canopy Before they can escape siren head statues them up with its elongated arms
The legend is captured the internet's imagination inspiring dozens of fan-made indie video games animated short films and eerie CGI-regured videos of giant mechanical sirens I go across a foggy landscapes I think this is the most ridiculous one we've read It's from Canada wow Canadians Stupid Canadians drinking moulson ice all day In the end and eating maple Not maple yeah stupid wearing wearing their mount me hats In the end Urban legends survived because they are the mirrors we hold up to ourselves They survived not because they are completely true but because they feel true Taping directly into the quiet anxieties of whatever age we find ourselves living Whether we are checking the backseat of our car on a dark highway Glancing down at a stranger's feet on a dusty road
Or quietly looking away from a dark bath your mirror before our mind plays tricks at us We keep those stories alive every time we pause Has a tape let a shiver run down our spine They remind us that no matter how advanced Brightly lit or highly connected our modern world becomes There will always be a part of the human psyche that craves the thrill of the unknown So the next time you hear a strange noise in an empty room Or find yourself on a lonely road late at night Remember some stories are told to help us speak But urban legends are told to keep us awake Thank you for exploring these dark corners with me and stay safe out there And don't forget to look down at the mirror This is yeah, I think we should try some of these I think it'd be fun Breeze avoiding eye contact I know now my door just gradually opened by I know it's Brian Hmm, so if you ever hear a noise in the dark. It's either Brian tooting or
Because my dogs all sold wagon is tail I heard it come away Maybe it was a ghost No now spying He I got distracted it eastie squirrel yeah with uh were Any of your favorites left off this list I thought you were gonna have the Like the hands on the bumper car with the flower and I know there's just so many I figured there might be a part two Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, we can definitely do that I like the one with the escaped insane asylum guy in the hook in the handle Yeah, that one two majors are making out in the woods Yeah, the hook yeah, I like that one So Yeah, I think we could do a part two. Yeah, I think so So I heard a whole bunch that I've never heard before so that was kind of fun. I want to say to Jeff needs to have some creative uh Yeah, I mean for religions.
