The Urban League of Greater Hartford is throwing down their annual wellness Wednesday, this Wednesday, April 29th from 5pm to 7pm. It's a free outdoor bash in the Sargent Street side parking lot at 140 Woodland Street, right in Hartford. Rain dates set for May 6th if the weather flips. This event lines up perfect with National Minority Health Month and Physical Wellness Month, shining light on all eight dimensions of. Wellness, physical, social, emotional, intellectual, environmental, financial, occupational, and spiritual. Families and folks from the community can dive into activities that boost personal health and tie into bigger wellbeing goals, all while linking up. Economic empowerment with everyday moves towards self-reliance. More than 20 community partners are rolling up with free, fresh produce, medical advice, health screenings, live cooking demos, personal trainer, tips, fitness shows, line dancing,
massages, and tons of vendor exhibits plus resources. The Urban League, kicking off in 1964 as the National Urban League's 66th affiliate, hits over 3,000 people yearly.
