Clyburn (D) South Carolina-06 Congressional District was first elected in 1992, he serving his 17th term representing a congressional district that includes most of the majority-Black precincts. He is the only Democrat in South Carolina's congressional delegation. He has served as majority whip, House assistant Democratic leader. He played a pivotal role in the 2020 presidential election by endorsing Joe Biden three days before Super Tuesday & the South Carolina Democratic presidential primary, Biden had lost three states before Super Tuesday. *Bob Armstead, president Washington State Chapter-National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) comments on the organization's Thursday, September 3rd meeting where several crucial issues are on the agenda: the Trump Administration changes to the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program:Removal of Racial Preference, Removal of Gender Preference, Addition of White Businesses to the program, Requirements of previously Certified Firms to Re-certify under new guidelines.
Small Business Administration (SBA) changes to Small Business Programs: Addition of White Businesses to the Disadvantaged Business programs. Changes in Revenue-based Qualifying Standards.
