青果巷 是常州古老街巷之一。始建于明万历年，当时运河由文亨桥入西水关,经东西下塘，穿城后出东水关蜿蜒向东。青果巷面临城区运河段，当时船舶云集，是南北果品集散地，沿岸开设备类果品店铺，旧有"千果巷"之称。常州方言"千"、"青"难辨，才有了现在的"青果巷"。
