英语新闻丨端午跨境出行数据大幅攀升

China's border inspection authorities processed 6.67 million inbound and outbound trips by Chinese and foreign travelers during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the National Immigration Administration said on Monday.
周一，国家移民管理局通报，端午三天假期期间，全国边检机关共查验中外人员出入境 667 万人次。

The daily average reached 2.22 million trips, up 12.9 percent from the same holiday period last year. Passenger traffic peaked on June 20, when nearly 2.31 million crossings were recorded.
假期日均出入境 222 万人次，较去年端午同期增长 12.9%；6 月 20 日迎来出行高峰，当日查验出入境人员近 231 万人次。

Mainland residents made 2.92 million inbound and outbound trips, an increase of 5.5 percent year-on-year, while residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan made 2.97 million trips, up 18.4 percent. Foreign nationals made 777,000 inbound and outbound trips, an increase of 23.3 percent from a year earlier. Among incoming foreign travelers, 266,000 entered China under visa-free policies, up 15.2 percent year-on-year.
假期内，内地居民出入境 292 万人次，同比增长 5.5%；港澳台居民出入境 297 万人次，同比增长 18.4%；外籍人员出入境 77.7 万人次，同比增长 23.3%。其中，通过免签政策入境的外籍旅客达 26.6 万人次，同比增长 15.2%。

The authorities also examined 305,000 inbound and outbound aircraft, ships, trains, and motor vehicles, an increase of 16 percent from the same period last year.
端午假期，边检机关累计查验出入境飞机、船舶、列车、机动车共计 30.5 万架（艘 / 列 / 辆）次，同比上升 16%。
