Welcome to the latest edition of John Solomon reports. The podcast from just the news. Hey, big stuff happened over the last 24 or 40 hours. I hope you had a chance to see it. A new report out by the Congress, the House Judiciary and Oversight committees and the administration committee saying that they have evidence that

Act Blue, the big Democratic fundraising juggernaut, was looking the other way as foreign money flowed in. I think Jim Jordan, the chairman suggested it could be as much as $30, $40, $50 million. We're going to get Chairman Jordan on the show tomorrow. But something really important to keep an eye on. There's an awful lot going on. Meanwhile, indications that President Trump might be considering a new deal with Iran or a new attack on Iran, unclear which way that's going to go. President Trump making some comments today. That's something is a foot. We'll see how that works. He called the big decision is on their way. So that's a big deal. The defendant, excuse me, the US chair, the chairman of the Attorney's Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Cain said that the US Mayor has to do a better job preparing to fight around the moon. Bet you weren't thinking about that. That's a big one. And there's been a question. How will the establishment of the Democratic Party deal with Michigan Democrat,

Simon nominee L. Syed? Well, Kamala Harris is doubling down on him, going to campaign with him. That means he's going to end up owning all the things he has said over the years and the people he has hung out with. That is a fantastic, fantastic dynamic, really interesting thing. All right. We got an amazing show for you today. Senator Ron Johnson just was elevated to the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee. This is a budget hawker who's long wanted to cut money and stop the insane spending. And I'll tell you what, he's the sort of guy that could do it. And I also think that President Trump has got a plan. Keep it close. I am President Trump unraining in the budget in the next round of talks. I'm really impressed that there are some things behind the scenes like cutting down friend. So let's see what we let's see what that looks like. We will have a whole lot more going on in the next few weeks. And like I said, tomorrow, Jim Jordan, we got some other guests all through the good weekend. So be sure to tune in every day and do me a favor. We got the brand new marketplace JTNMarketplace.com. You can get the Charlie Cook

book there. Charlie Kirk, the intellect of Charlie Kirk. I'm really proud of this book. Go check it out. We also have some other great stuff after Ron Johnson, though. We're going to get the former FBI agent Jonathan Gilliam Heath thinks that Caspar tell the Justice Department could be doing more. And to explain what he means by doing more. I mean, obviously crime is down. That's a big win for them, but there are some places in the FBI that a long time agent like Jonathan Gilliam sees an opportunity for that's pretty cool. We'll check into that. And then in the final block of the show today, we had a really great story earlier this week on China. And the relationship between Michigan State University and institutions in China that are involved with propping up Chinese propaganda. That is something Americans are directly doing, but they're working with people who do propaganda in China. Isaac Stonefish is going to who broke that story with his great research at his company. Got to join us on the third block of the show. So Senator Ron Johnson, FBI agent retired Jonathan Gilliam and a great researcher Isaac Stonefish today up ahead on the John Solomon

reports. A podcast until then though. Before we take that break, I want to do a quick shout out to Angel Studios. I love their work. I love their movies at Young Washington. So many other great ones. I've been a member of Angel and I love it. I think you should become to particularly if you like to learn about people and events at shape or country that maybe the mainstream media or traditional Hollywood don't look at people like Charlie Kirk in the movie American Martyr offers that look that you've never seen before. Charlie, my good friend to the people who knew him best. This network does a great job with the documentaries and exploring people's convictions and relationships, their legacy, their values that we share with them. They're kinds of consequential people, consequential moments, questions worth examining. That's why I love Angel. If you want to sign up today and become an angel, a guild member, go to angel.com slash J.S. Angel.com slash J.S. Back in a second with Senator Ron Johnson.

All right folks, welcome back for the commercial break. Not that long ago, a very significant moment. America's debt catapulting over the $40 trillion mark. My larger than or nearly as larger and larger than our gross national product, a warning sign for a lot of people. Very few talk about how big a deal this is, but our next guest has never shied away from it. He has been leading the charge to try to slow our deficits and get us back to a balanced budget. He's the chairman of Senate Budget Committee now. He's got a lot of sway on this issue. Senator Ron Johnson joins us now. Senator, great to have you on the show today. Thanks for having me on. I wish I was more powerful and influential. We solved this problem. Your voice has been for a long time and I feel like Americans are dialing in a little bit and realizing so much of the money that we were giving and spending over the last decade or two. It was completely wasted, fleeced by con men and foreign money that wasn't going to anything but bad people. Is there a unique moment? I think

people hear numbers and they glaze over on the numbers, but the awareness that our government was just completely fleeced. Is it great a unique opportunity maybe to have a conversation in Congress we haven't had about getting this budget under control? I would hope so, but again, I'm not polyannish on this thing. I ran really on a platform. Those were my show during praise. We're more of your kids' future. It's wrong. It's a moral. It's got to stop. We were 14 trillion dollars in debt back then. Now we're 40 trillion and people like me are vast sale numbered. And probably the problem is because the American public, we don't educate them in terms of connecting the dots. The reason you can't afford things is because over the last decades we've consistently devalued our dollar year after year after year. John, a dollar you held in 1998 is only worth half as much, less than 50 cents a day. 2019, a dollar you held back then is like 79 cents by the time I walked. It keeps devaluing it every month. That's what I always call

that's the chronic debt crisis. What we're trying to avoid is to acute debt crisis where you have a failure in the bond markets and all of a sudden interest rates shoot up. But you already interest exceeds what we spent in defense. It's over trillion dollars. As I said, the projections for the next 10 years average, $2.6 trillion in debt deficit each year, average, $2.6 will be over $60 trillion in 10 years. Again, you have these milestones, $40 trillion in debt, but because very few political leaders talk about it, you just move on. And again, most Americans like the free money they get from the federal government. That's an obligation. That's an entitlement. Whatever they term, what it is the federal government provides them because it's starting under FDR, where he used the federal fist to pretty well, secure elections by votes. And politicians aren't stupid.

They learn how to do it and that we've honed the process. And so we buy vote after vote after vote. And again, people just don't connect the dots. The reason you can't afford things is because that devaluation and currency brought to you by massive, ongoing, relentless death suspending. Yeah, it is. And it doesn't seem like Republicans are much different as a whole in a brand than Democrats. They seem to always exceed to just, well, it can't stop. It's a let's just keep spending it. Is there any cataclysmic moment? Is there any moment of recognition of how dangerous this trend line is? And is there anyone beside the select few that have always been fighting that are beginning to adapt their language, their recognition of the problem? Well, we know what it looks like. You look at Greece. You know, all of a sudden, their industries started skyrocketing and then they had to take some real strong fiscal measures. The difference between America and every other country is where the world's reserve currency.

So we can keep printing these greenbacks. You know, we keep printing dollars as long as people are willing to accept it. At some point in time, creditors are going to look at America and go, you know, you're not a real good credit risk. I'll use US government bonds. They are safe haven. And John, they may continue to be safe haven because we're the least worst when you look around the world. The world is actually swimming in massive debt. So again, we're kind of like a frog and in a pot of water here, you just keep turning up the heat and people still realize what this is doing. But I mean, if people have a very short time horizon, but, you know, the oldsters like us that we can go back and say, you know, we used to be able to buy a car for $2,000. My parents first home, which you know, that nice modest to middle-class home, they pay $1,000 for it. So then they upgrade number years later for $22,000. Now you can't touch the home for what? Less than $250. In many areas of the country, I mean, there are some areas you can, but

I know. So again, we just get used to it. You know, our wages, our wages are also inflated. So we get used to inflation. But again, reason people are so surly is their wages are not keeping up with the dramatic inflation during the Biden administration. And, you know, I'm forcing, I'm not one to over-promise and under-deliver. I try and under-promise and hopefully over-deliver. But way too many people are promising, you know, price reductions. Prices don't go down. There's certain commodities to do like with good energy policy, without a military action in Iran. Gasoline prices were coming down from the Biden highs. They'll things like eggs because of mismanagement of H1N1 and you know, that type of thing. So there are certain things that can come down, but general price level, that's where it is because we've devalued the currency. There was a moment this weekend where the Brits nations were meeting China gathering in Russia, India and some of the others in the Middle East and elsewhere, pressing ahead with the Brits alliance, talking about America being in chaos, our fiscal house in order.

The our foreign adversaries, our foreign competitors are seizing on this budget crisis in a way that I haven't seen. How concerning was the Brits summit the last couple of days? Well, it should concern every American. Again, the moment we are no longer with world reserve currency, and that's exactly what the Brits countries are trying to do. It's replaced us with their basket of currencies as reserve currency. And by the way, more and more different transactions were this oil that type of thing. Putin was kind of laughing about it. But with the sanctions we placed on him, let's just forces him to, you know, and people he trades with do do do a conduct business in the Russian currency. And so some of the things we were actually taking that we think you know, Tusha tough on Russia is kind of sitting around trotse on in many respects as well. So again, but that's the key. You know, if we lose the reserve currency, we are part of my French screwed. But who knows when that's going to happen, but it's you know, there's there's slowly nicking away at it. One of the things that is a warning sign in the bond markets are part of this

right now, the treasure yields. And in past ways, one way is to bring bound the deficit was to get interest rates down. But because of our debt crisis, interest rates are hovering higher and higher that only adds more pressure to the deficit. It seems like the deficit's accelerating instead of decelerating. And even though we've made gains on some fraud prevention, other things, the interest rates are eating that up. Is there any dynamic that changes interest rates in the short term? Probably not in the short term. I think long term, you're going to have to give confidence to the bond market to creditors. There we're going to get the center control. The only thing I can think of is what I've been proposing since I got here is start limiting federal spending to a percentage of GDP. And you put yourself on the glide path to ramp it down to where it's now matches revenue. And you have to understand that for the last 70 years, no matter how much we try and punish success, you know, top marginal tax rates is highest 90%. It's unbelievable how our average

revenue we collect is about 17.3%. There's some highs and lows, but it is really pretty tightly centered around 17.3%. So at some point in time, you have to recognize that's the reality. That's all that taxpayers, that's all the income earners are going to subject their income to is of 17, 18% tax, which means you better bring spending out of control down to 18% as well. Yeah, so important. And it's just there's no one keeping those metrics. You have such simple, good easy ways to do it. If you just get back to that 2019 baseline or adjust for inflation, everything would come back into a great place, but it doesn't seem like there's that level of engagement. It's very interesting to see. What are you doing as budget chairman to try to force? I mean, one of the great things about that job is that it's got a lot of attention generation for these issues. What can you do as budget chairman to try to force a conversation that we've long delayed? Well, I started before the August recess, we had our first hearing. It was titled Medicaid the reality. We hear Democrats screaming like pigs, oh, they're slashed,

Medicaid, trillion dollars. And I just failed the facts. When we started Medicaid expansion, 2014, we spent 300 billion dollars. The year before the pandemic, 2019, 400 billion. Last year, we spent $668 billion. And the Wall Street Journal reported we're going to be up 10% CBO now saying 6%. But this year will spend over $700 billion. That's more than double what we spent when we expanded Medicaid. And in that 9-1 match, people are realized for every dollar the state spends on a disabled child, the federal government on average kicks in about $1.03. But because Obamacare was really the next step, the first step in a single payer system, they incentive our states to sign up single able bodied working-age child's adults. So the federal government kicked in $9. You want to know why you see this rampant fraud and Somalia fraud or these hospice centers that the Dr. Oz defunded 400 of them in California alone, not one complained

because they're off fraudulent. So I mean, we have massive fraud. I mean, 250 billion is the lowest estimate per year up to $1 trillion. We can't afford that level of fraud. We need to focus on that. And we could dramatically reduce federal spending without even cutting benefits. Yeah, no, that's the amazing thing. There's such a simple path to doing it, just not the will for it yet thus far. It's great that these discussions are happening. We're cooking before we let you go. The election, what's the mood of people in Wisconsin, such a great state? Well, we're pretty evenly divided. I think Tom Tiffany is a real chance. We have to elect a Republican governor. Hopefully we can maintain our majority. So we can start passing things like voter integrity. We've got probably double the number of people on our voter rolls as we have our eligible to vote. And the Wisconsin National Education Refuse has cleaned up that voter roll that we use. So during 2020, there were so many irregularities in the Wisconsin election. Supreme Court never took it up. They ruled against Trump on the base of folk of latches,

whatever that means. It means that they never looked at the evidence. They just came up with the excuse to not look at it. So now it's, you know, we're we're pretty evenly divided state. We do better in November elections than we do in the Supreme elections where Democrats free will rule, which means they've taken over our Wisconsin Supreme Court with a bunch of radical leftists. They probably repeal act 10 that will cost local and and and county governments, probably billions over the years if they repeal the Scott Walker reform. So no, I'm it's really up for grabs here in 2026 in Wisconsin. Yeah, get out the vote will matter like it never has before. It's so important. So there always a great honor to have you on this show. I know you're a lot of busy work ahead, but thank you for spending some time with us today. Thanks for having me on have a great day. Yeah, I always enjoy it. Thank you so much. All right, folks, quick commercial break. Retired if I didn't Jonathan Gilley right around the corner. Welcome back everybody. As we mentioned at

the top of the show FBI director, cash Patel testified in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee today and things got just a little bit heated. Take a look at what exactly I'm talking about. What I believe in is the rule of law. What I will always put the rule of law is the rule of law saying in advance, are you John with your stamp I had? By the way, it's been rigged. I want to know how your wealth increased 4,000 per cent and she became United States Senator. That's a magic act. All Americans should be available. Yeah, thanks to the state police they respect it as a lot of the size that he continues to tell or nothing that I said here is a lot of you said your time's up or he done or not. No, you don't want to go right now. You want to answer my question. The phone. If you want to my questions, go to the next person. Has this ridiculous? What a mockery you are. You are the biggest mockery in the United States Senate and you're sitting next to share. Yeah, by this, by this mainstream media that you're accusing of lying, you're talking about the New York Times. So they part of the enemy. I mean, I'm talking about the ones that you said are you talking about the New York Times? Aren't you and them the ones that left the Russian illusion? Excuse you, fine, Russian

solution. Is it in that envelope that you held up? We need extra a minute and we're Oh boy, oh boy. So even though those as sparks were flying everywhere, there were some substantive things brought up with FBI director Patel, so joining us now to break it all down is former FBI agent Navy Seal and air marshal also author of the book sheep no more Jonathan Gilliam Jonathan. Welcome back. Great to see you. Man, I don't think I see these do. Yeah, I don't think we have them yet. We're trying to track them back onto the onto the thing. We'll get a minute a second. I think some technical problems. Well, I like it. Something that's from you because I know you've been doing this for a very, very long time and even just as recently as the last administration with director Ray, you never saw that type of meddling criticism and questioning the lines of inquiry from these Democrats towards cash betel as opposed to Christopher Ray. It is absolutely night and day. Yeah, listen, it was bombastic as it gets, but it's a model that's been used several times. We

saw, and Bonnie, you do this. We've seen cash through it a couple times. Democrats, so I A-maker, and he throws it right back at him. They say, you're a disgrace. He says, you're a disgrace. And then it goes back and basically the Democrats don't create any real points to score. I do think the things that were important for people to hear today on emerging threats. There was a discussion about all the efforts to counter drone, something we focused on the show a lot. That is one of the things the FBI's taking the lead on. We've made some progress here reducing the violent crime rate, the historical crime that the FBI is famous for fighting. That's important. I didn't hear a lot about the color revolution and the Islamic leftist alliance. That's something I think our first guess is going to have a lot to say about it. I think we finally have Jonathan coming back online. Do we have them there? I'm here. All right. Good deal. Jonathan, I actually want to start with something that is a success story of the FBI, this administration. Not even since last January,

since the last three months, since the inception of the FBI's most wanted fraudster list. You've got violent crimes in this country and we see the posters every time we're in an airport or a police station, the FBI's most wanted. This is a different type of crime. That damages the American economy. It hurts the American taxpayers. And sometimes to the tune of hundreds of millions of women just caught in Thailand. How important is it to highlight these success stories and the fact that there even is this FBI most wanted fraudsters list now? Well, I'll tell you, I really think this list is very important because especially when you look at California and the way they're trying to outlaw anybody looking into fraud. So I think I think this is a very, very important thing that they're actually putting a face to these people so that they can start seeing exactly who's doing this and put more of a focus. I think next to the red green in alliance and their subversive attempts to take over this nation,

I think that this fraud is probably the biggest national security threat that we have. And also the next two giving out money to nations around the world. This fraud is the biggest robber of taxpayer monies that there is. Yeah, that's a great, that's a really great point. Donald, I want to address that because I think there was the traditional crime. If he has got a good record on traditional crime right now, fraud, violent crime, that's coming down. There's some, I would say innovation in addressing the very real threat of drone warfare in America, a symmetric drone warfare. But what didn't come up at all, and it shows you maybe with the Congress itself that they're unaware of the threat, it just didn't come up at all. Is this red green alliance, this is Islamist leftist, Islamist Marxist alliance, which is creating this instability on the ground and as some folks like Amara's Calonty said before she left the

administration, it could lead to a color revolution on our streets and we're woefully unprepared for can you weigh in on the fact that it didn't come up, which is really kind of jarring, and where you think the FBI has and doesn't have capabilities right now. Well, I think it has caused that disturbance on our streets. I think we're already past it could and it is. And I think when you look at cash per tail's testimony and you get past all the back and forth nonsense, which I just shocked that this back and forth stuff goes on because it's petty on both sides, but it's absolutely ridiculous. All these people that were in Washington, DC today, this hearing work for the American people. And so I have a problem when it goes and devolves into that. But what I particularly, even though cash has great numbers and is allowed the FBI agents to do their job, one thing in particular he said stands out and that's that when it comes to law fair, he said in a very short and succinct answer that we've chose to focus

internally. Well, okay, that's great, but that's not the end of the picture. The real picture is the red green alliance and it is how law fair was used and is still used in many cases by the overall group. It's not just some individuals in the bureau. All these agencies have been subverted. Government and politics have been subverted at every level, state, local and federal. And with the help of social media, with big money backers, with foreign states. So I think it was really a let down not to hear the red green alliance mention, but also to hear that when it comes to law fair, they're just solely focusing on firing people from the bureau. That is not an answer. And we only have two more years. It seems like a caucus countdown, John. Like every time we come on, we're like, well, we have two years and six months. We only have about two years left before

we had no more chances. And so I think it's it is the biggest national security issue that we have at this point. And if we don't start focusing beyond each individual agency and looking at the totality of this criminal enterprise, global criminal enterprise, we're going to go down a road more rapidly than we've ever seen before. Well, and something that's going along and lasting then, yeah. And, you know, like you pointed out two years, that is a that is a spec in time. And when it comes to the FBI, as you pointed out, firing is one thing. But I know you have talked extensively, including to us, about how recruitment of needs to absolutely grossly change, be completely different for what it looked like before talked us about the the methods that need to change when it comes to hiring. Well, they just made some changes, but they were not the right ones. They're talking about allowing somebody who, as a youth, had experience in bestiality or was had robbery on their record. I don't understand why it's important to them to have the numbers

of officers override or agents or employees override the importance of quality people. We should be going in the opposite direction. We should be looking at it tightening up the standards physically, physical fitness, mentally, not going down the road like, you know, a couple of years ago when they had the CIA talking about in a recruitment video how the female had bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder and all that. It's though they're just welcoming that in. We need to be going opposite where the people are like they were held to a standard. If you don't meet that standard, they're not coming in. And I think if we don't do that, then down the road, what you're going to see is more careerists and more of the bad policies that we see now still in place. So this is the product of the fact that cashpattil, and this is not a personal hit, I don't know cashpattil.

But I do know the Bureau. And as I've talked about here before, it's full of Mophias. The Lesbian Mophia, crazy Zet Sounds, the SWAT team Mophia, the incompetent leader Mophias where they stack the ranks with people under them that are their buddies or the same ideology or don't threaten their incompetence. So cash doesn't know that system. And I know that because he's being led by them. And he is, when he talks about things that the Bureau has done right, he gives long answers that are boilerplate executive answers. But when it comes to things like the Reggiggrin Alliance, which the Bureau is not familiar with working that type of investigation, there's no comment. It's very small succinct, and that's it. So recruitment leads to the extension of these incompetent leaders. And what we have now, which is people that don't know how to look outside the box in unconventional

ways and one last thing. If they wanted to look at this whole thing, all they got to do is look at the Reggiggrin Alliance the same way they looked at LaCosa, Nostra and the Italians. It's one group, but many different individuals that make up individual groups working together in a conspiracy to overthrow and subvert the government. It's a very, very easy case if they just would pursue it. Former FBI agent, Navy Seal and Air Marshall, and everybody go check out his fantastic book, Sheep Noor, Jonathan Gilliam, Great to see you, my friend. You got it. Thank you all. Hey, folks. Remember that Michigan State University story that earlier this week? Isaac Stonefish will be next and he'll tell us how we found the information and why we should all care about these relationships between China and American academic institutions right after the break. Welcome back, everybody. A brand new report from Strategy Risks says that Michigan State University may be helping China quote conduct psychological warfare, which sounds terrifying and that's

because it is. So what on earth is going on in Michigan, joining us to discuss this and more is CEO and founder of Strategy Risks. Isaac Stonefish, Isaac, great to have you. Great to be here. Thank you. Absolutely. All right. So talk to us about this. How on earth could they be entangled with the CCP? Was it knowingly? Was it unknowingly talked to us about the facts of this? As far as we know, it was unknowingly Michigan State has some long-standing partnerships with Chinese universities. Two of those universities have very deep ties to China's propaganda apparatus. And what seems to have happened is Michigan State was lending its name, its credibility, and its training promises to Chinese universities that were working on things like psychological warfare and information warfare domestically and possibly globally as well. So Isaac, I know you say it's unwitting, but it wasn't this hard to find the connections with the Chinese institutions and their ties elsewhere. Our universities just not doing due diligence and

they more excited to create these relationships and the money that go with them and the restitch it goes with them than doing due diligence. There's certainly not doing enough due diligence and they're not doing the due diligence in Chinese and they're not asking the relate tough questions about why are these universities wanting to partner with us? They're also forgetting that basically every Chinese university is under the Chinese Communist Party and then some of them have very important ties with people's liberation army, administrative state security, and other more fearsome elements of the Chinese system. Isaac, it seems like every day we learn of a new instance of the CCP infiltrating and infecting American society and institutions. Should the default mindset going forward in education, in medicine, in research, any sector really, should the default mindset going forward be there's an a furious reason if there's a Chinese institution that wants to partner? China is one of the world's most important countries and

it's very important for Americans to understand China to be able to grapple with the place. The issue is Communist Party control over every important entity in China and universities, companies, governments, other entities that want to engage with China need to go in with their eyes wide open. Yeah, that's a really important part. I think when the warming of relations with China occurred a couple of decades ago, there was this idea, this romanticized idea that China would go the way the Soviet Union, we create Western culture with them and they'd have a perestroika sort of like and they would move towards us but China's proven to be just the opposite. They've doubled down on their communism, on their state surveillance. In Michigan alone, you've had a Chinese national student caught trying to vote illegally. You've had a couple trying to smuggle in pathogens, you've had a whole dispute over a Chinese-owned energy plant and then you have this new thing, is there a specific focus on academia and Michigan academia in the work that you've

done? So we found this in Michigan, we see a lot of this in universities and in corporates for on America. It's striking with Michigan because the select committee, the chairman is from Michigan, obviously the auto industry is very important there. Michigan State is very prominent in international communications but you name the state, there is a piece of this there and really the goal is not widespread decoupling. The goal is certainly not demonization of Chinese people. The goal is understanding the way the Chinese Communist Party works and making sure that universities can make better, safer decisions. Yeah, I mean anytime we have an aferious or an adversarial nation, it's never about the people of that nation, it's their leadership. Should this be a clarion call for other universities to re-examine those relationships that they have with any foreign institution and sever it if they find something alarming? Absolutely, we want universities to make smart decisions and I think the worry is whether you're on the right or the left, you don't want massive

government involvement in universities but if universities are going to allow say things like hidden PLA, kernels, sharing US secrets with China, allowing Chinese students and other students to be harassed by students from China or other countries, the government's going to get involved and it's going to be far more entangled with American universities than it should be. And so I'd really love to see American universities cleaning their own houses, fixing these problems and not giving state, local and national government the excuse to come in and cause problems for academic freedom for the way universities operate. CEO and founder of China and the show but strategy risk tests and important stuff tell us a little bit about what you do as a group and why that work is so important in the 21st century.
