UK News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now! — Unlicensed Doctor's Cancer Scam. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
On April 28, a former general practitioner named Dr. Mosin Ali just got struck off the medical register for running an unregistered clinic right in his councilhouse where he claimed he could cure cancer by injecting patients with garlic oil, vitamin C, and other stuff. He charged desperate folks up to 15,000 pounds per treatment, promising easy fixes even for terminal cases. He targeted patients the NHS couldn't help anymore. Like one guy with stave's three prostate cancer, who got told his disease was a breeze to beat, with a money back guarantee if it failed. Another was a terminally ill woman with ovarian cancer, whose family showed up between 10,000 and 12,000 pounds after he bashed the health service for supposedly killing patients just to profit. Patients described the setup as squalid and unsafe, no sterile storage, liquids kept in a car parts box from howfords, treatments on a shared property, with no proper facilities, and blood spurting everywhere during sessions.
He mixed in ozone therapy and called it all natural healing. Dr. Ali had worked in the UK since 2001, held a full license until 2015, but kept treating cancer patients into 20, 18, despite being unlicensed. When reported to authorities in 2019, he admitted it wasn't registered, but claimed it was just therapeutic work. The tribunal ruled his actions, a massive breach of medical trust, dishonesty, no informed consent, unsafe practices, and said he poses a high ongoing, risks to public safety, making a ratio from the register the only way to protect folks.
