A UN peacekeeper got killed and another one's in critical condition after a projectile blew up at their position near the southern Lebanese village of, Atchit Al-Kusair, this past Sunday. You in I-File, the peacekeeping force there, says they don't know where the projectile came from yet, but they've kicked off an investigation to figure out. Exactly what went down. These spokes are posted up in southern Lebanon to keep watch on the line with Israel right in the middle of ongoing fights between Israeli forces and Iran-backed Hezbollah militants, and the mission wraps up at the end of 2026.
