UNC Women's Golf Hosts NCAA Regional

0:00On May 1st, North Carolina's women's golf team just landed the number two seed in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional and get this, they're hosting a ride at UNC Finley Golf Club from May 11th through 13th. The 12th ranked tar heels are set to battle it out with 11 other squads and six standout individuals over 54 holes. Texas snagged a top spot, followed by heavy hitters like Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, and even rivals NC State at number 8. The top five teams, plus the lowest scoring individual, not on those squads, punched their ticket to Nationals starting May 22nd in Carlsbad, California. Fans are buzzing because this marks head coach I mean F's fifth straight season, getting her crew into an NCAA regional. They showed grit in the ACC Championship last month, placing sixth and strobe play before knocking out Wake Forest in the quarterfinals to Rista. Simmies, UNC Finley joins five other spots nationwide from Ann Arbor to Waco, making this a big stage for the tar heels.
