It's March 1st in Durham, let's get into the news. The number 21st ranked North Carolina women's basketball team beat number 12, Duke 74-69 on Sunday afternoon in, Carmichael Arena. UNC finishes the regular season at 25 wins and six losses overall with a 14-4 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Duke ends up 21-8, 16-2 in conference play. Duke got off to a fast start, building an early 7-point lead. But the tar heels stormed back with strong play inside to cut it to just one by the end of the first quarter. Meanwhile, the second quarter stayed close, with Duke pulling ahead 31-29 at halftime thanks to a couple of timely threes. UNC flipped the script in the third, hitting four threes early to grab a 52-47 edge. Three-point shooting decided the fourth quarter, as both sides traded long-range shots. Sophomore Guard Alina Arnazalo answered with a big three, then added free throws, and

senior forward Nila Harris sealed it with a layup for a three-point lead laden. This victory gives UNC solid momentum heading into the ACC tournament at Gas South Arena in Georgia.
