UNC Diamond Heels Crush Le Moyne, 21-1

0:00From Durham, this is your March 1st update. The number 8 diamond heels made quick work of Lemoine on Sunday, winning 21-1 and improving to 11 wins, one loss and one tie. Lemoine stays winless at 0-9. They jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning, scoring all those runs with just 2 outs. Basis clearing doubles and a 2 run homer set the tone right away. Lemoine scratched across one run in the top of the third, but North Carolina fired right back with 5 more in the bottom half. Errors and wild pitches help widen the gap even further. The bats kept firing in the fifth inning, adding 6 runs after some smart substitutions from Coach Scott Forbes. A freshman Ryfielder crushed his first career Grand Slam, going 358 feet.
