UK's Hottest April Day in 80 Years

That's the highest mark for early April in the UK over the last 80 years, blowing past Tuesday's 24.8th Celsius peak in Anglesey, Wales. This heat made London warmer than spots like Ibiza, Rome, and Marrakesh. Met office meteorologist Tom Morgan called it exceptional for the season, way above the usual 12-15 Celsius early April average. The warm spell kicked off Monday, but is just a quick spike. Folks hit the beaches in coast to beat the heat, but water safety groups are sounding alarms. Drowning risks jump five times in warm weather since water stays ice cold, causing shock. Tragically, a 17-year-old boy died at high-damn Tarn in Cumbria Tuesday, and a seven-year-old passed after a pond incident at a Cambridgeshire, Golf Center Monday.
