UK Gang Sentenced for £700K ATM Heist

They hit targets in nine locations, including Greater Manchester, over almost a year. The thieves use heavy tools like angle grinders and jaws of life along with stolen high-performance cars and fake plates for quick escapes. They even bragged in WhatsApp messages that police had nothing on them. Their look ran out in Cumbria last August when they rented holiday homes as a base for three straight raids grabbing over 108,000 pounds. Officers spotted their stolen getaway outy on a truck heading back south and pulled it over. That led to the arrest of the truck driver and a big investigation using CCTV, phone records, fingerprints, and DNA, which pinned down the whole crew and their roles in planning and logistics. All five pleaded guilty and got lengthy sentences last October from three years, nine months up to ten years.
