UK Bans Smoking for Under-18s, Tightens Tobacco Rules

On top of the generational ban, ministers gain fresh powers to crack down on tobacco, vapes and nicotine products, like controlling flavors and packaging. This bill's on a broader push to curb the habit that's killed millions over decades. The new rules also outlaw smoking or vaping in cars with children present, playgrounds and right outside schools, hospitals and doctor. Surgery's, though vaping stays okay in those last spots, pub gardens, beaches and private yards dodges the restrictions entirely.
