UConn's Karaban Shines in Final Home Game

0:00On March 20th, number 6, IPon pulled out a close 71-67 win over Seton Hall on Saturday. Alice Caravan led the way with 23 points in his final home game at Gample Pavilion. He got added to the Huskies of Honor before tip-off, becoming the first active men's player to receive that nod. Solo ball chipped in 14 points, with 12 coming after half-time, and he teamed up with Caravan to hit 7 of 8 free throws in the last. Minute Braille and Mullins added 11 points, while Terrace Reed Jr. grabbed 11 rebounds to go with his 10 points. Seton Hall hung tough behind AJ Stadden McCraze, 20 points, including 4-3 pointers. The pirates even built an 8-point lead late in the second half, but they cooled off, missing 12 of their final 16 shots. Caravan, a two-time national champ, now ranks 10th in UConn career scoring, and 2nd in 3-pointers made. He shared the pre-game ceremony with teammates, Terrace Reed Jr., Duane Caroma, Alec Millender, and Malachi Smith.
