UAB & Oxford Build New Emergency Department

This joint project, with the city's health care authority, aims to boost emergency care access for the whole region. They've already filed a letter of intent with state health planners to get the needed approvals. The push comes from fast population growth in Oxford that's straining current medical services. City leaders reached out to UAV because of their top-ranked care. This set up will link local patients to UAV's wide network of experts and help cut costs through better efficiency. Local officials are thrilled about the partnership. The mayor called it the start of major health improvements in the area. UAV's CEO highlighted how closer emergency care leads to better health results for everyone nearby. UAV already run successful freestanding emergency rooms in places like Gardendale, Hoover, and Trustville. They say those spots have transformed care there, and this one could do the same.
