On March 14th, here's the latest out of Birmingham, a missile hit a helipad at the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad, and debris from an intercepted Iranian drone sparked a fire at an oil facility in the backer. United Arab Emirates. This comes as the U.S. Israel conflict with Iran enters its third week. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump announced U.S. forces destroyed key military sites on Iran's Carg Island, a hub for its oil exports. He warned that oil infrastructure there could be next if Iran keeps blocking ships in the strait of Hormuz. Iran has fired missiles and drones at Israel and Gulf states while effectively shutting down that vital strait through which one-fifth of the world's oil flows. Meanwhile, 2,500 more Marines and the amphibious assault ship USS. Tripoli are heading to the Middle East to bolster U.S. forces. The humanitarian situation in Lebanon worsens, with nearly 800 people killed and 850,000 displaced from Israeli strikes.
On Iran-backed militants, Iranian leaders threaten retaliation against U.S. linked oil sites in the region. U.S. and Israeli forces continue heavy air strikes, hitting over 15,000 targets in Iran since the war started, including more than 1,000 per day lately. Officials say no ground evasion is planned yet. Thanks to our sponsor for helping bring you this episode, what is cooler than cool? A pillow that plays your sound. S-O-L-I-SOLYPILLOW.COM
