Tyran Stokes Wins State Championship, Eyes College

The 6-foot 7-forward from Rainier Beach High School put up 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and a block in A. 73-53 route of Tacoma Lincoln. That victory marks back-to-back titles for the Vikings at the Tacoma Dome in Washington. The team is coached by Mike Bethaea with help from Jamal Crawford, a 20-year NBA veteran serving as assistant. Crawford's freshman son, JJ, led scoring with 20 points in the final. First Stokes, this is his first high school state crown, adding to goal he earned with team USA at the under-16 America's championship in 20. 23 and the under-17 World Cup last year.
