Episode Twelve: Two Heroes (A Blacksmith and the Gay Priest)

In this episode, Mr. Poe and George discuss two American Heroes:

  • Gilbert Hunt - an African American blacksmith who saved several lives in the Richmond Theatre Fire of 1811 (and later the Va. State Penitentiary)
  • Father Mychal Judge - a life-affirming, dynamic priest who happened to be gay. He died at 9/11 while giving last rites, and was the first official victim of the disaster.

This could quite possibly be the most moving podcast you will ever hear.
