You're listening to this week in Fantasy Baseball. Hello everyone and welcome to this week's in Fantasy Baseball. I'm John Cohen, joined as always by my co-host Patrick Fitzgerald. Today we're going to go over the latest news and notes around baseball, cover player performances from this past week and give some streamer recommendations at the end of the show. But before we get into all that Patrick, how you doing?

1:05Hey John, I'm doing well. I joined the last month of regular season baseball and it's trying to manage my team as well as I can in a couple of fantasy playoff matches that are getting going from my head to head leagues. Got a couple of clothes on. Got some big stone bases today from Miguel Vargas and in those leagues. I hopefully can give me an ad if it's going to be close on the weekend. But yeah, I'm doing well. How are you? Doing all right. I am definitely getting to that part of the Fantasy Baseball season where I stopped caring a little bit. I forgot, you know, just like forgetting the set-up line-ups and weekly leagues and things like that. So it's a little tough especially because like, you know, the, I think we all generally have like one league that we really care about. And I've been out of that one for a couple weeks now. So it's been harder to keep track of my other ones. But I believe I'm on the Cosmo making the playoffs and one of my leagues. So it'll be nice to at least have some competitive baseball for the next couple weeks and at least in fantasy. Yeah, it's always tough when one or two like drop out and then you got to, you know, shift your priorities elsewhere. And then if

2:07you do play football, you got to deal with those and not only one or two football leagues from Mason, not super into it. So still still pretty focused on baseball right now. And my Orioles are still in it, definitely on the outside looking in. You got a tough schedule for the rest of the year, but they at least have a chance of will be falling closely down the stretch for sure. Yeah, the chance though is at least closer than the twins who would have been nice if they swept the Tigers this week, but instead one that series two one, but there's three games back of the last spot that Cleveland has. And I believe your Orioles are only one game back. So still, I believe any team, if you can finish both 500, that's how you get it to that third wild card spot in the American League. Yeah, if it's a low bar right now for sure. Yeah, it's kind of unfortunate. It's it's it's weird that the American League is dealing with some of these issues with just kind of like the how good some of these teams aren't, but you know, it is what it is that's baseball sometimes. But before we get into the rest of the podcast, just a reminder that you can follow us on Twitter at this week, P.L. You can send us your fantasy baseball questions to our email at this week, P.L. pod at gmail.com. Lastly, make sure you

3:09subscribe to or follow the podcast on whatever stream of hot for you. Listen to we're on all of them, Spotify, Apple, YouTube, wherever else you listen to your podcasts, make sure you follow us and leave a five star view if you enjoy the show. Also, I should mention we at Pitch List are holding basically kind of one final push, I guess with the with the baseball season finishing up, but if you've been following us, you know that we've been talking about the P.L. Pro dashboard for a while. And Pitch List, we basically just made like a big update to that with the personal pitching dashboard that Nick uses to write up the SP Roundup every night. And so yeah, the nice thing about the dashboard is that it gives you the ability to sync your teams, make moves based on P.L. Pro data and our Pitch List staff rankings. I used it in a couple of weeks so far. It's kind of a fun tool to use. And yeah, he, Nick, I should say, uses it every night to write his SP roundups, this Pitch Pitch Pitch Pitch Pitching dashboard. So now that's available for all of you to use, if you're interested in checking out the dashboard, right now you can get 20% off P.L. Pro yearly with the code live dashboard.

4:14That's all cap snow spaces. This gives you early access to the dashboard before our official 1.0 launch next year, plus entry into our discord and all of our P.L. V projections. So again, that's live dashboard all cap snow spaces for 20% off of P.L. Pro yearly. All right, we are going to move into our injury news and notes. And for the last month of the season, there are surprisingly a lot of big names who are coming back. We're going to start out with some injury list placements starting, of course, with my favorite player, Biodre Bucksin. He's back on the injury list again for essentially the third stint in the last two months with this hip impingement issue that he keeps dealing with. It sounds like surgery might be in the cards for a Bucksin, which places his return by the end of the regular season in doubt. I'm sure the twins make it to the playoffs. He's going to, you know, do whatever you can to make back to the team. But as for the regular season, it's looking like it's going to be a little bit harder for him to make it back in time. Kirby eights. He is, of course, on a new team after getting traded to the pirates over the trade deadline. Unfortunately, now he is

5:17dealing with a right shoulder impingement. And kind of forgot, Kirby eights is 39 years old. So, if you're that old and you're also doing with a shoulder impingement, it's just not a really good thing for any pitcher to deal with. So it's probably going to be unlikely that he makes his return. Of course, he probably was only rostered in holds leagues, but nonetheless, that's kind of a blow at least to the pirates bullpen. Eric Lauer dealing with left elbow inflammation. He got sent to the 15-day out by the Dodgers. And then Luis Rinhifo, he has a torn ACL is now going to be out for season. In terms of returns, some big names here. So Conner Griffin, he's going to be most likely back on Friday for the pirates. Catel Marte, he did return to the team on Monday. Davis Martin, back for the White Sox had 5.2 scores innings in his return. So it could be a very interesting pickup down the stretch. Blake Trinon, back for the Dodgers. Most likely going to be a guy using high leverage spots. So one of those holds options that you can potentially look at for the Dodgers. Michael Massey of the Kansas City Royals. He is back from Concussion List. Has that

6:18an okay season this year? Kind of intriguing at least for deep leagues, but maybe nothing to more shallow than a 15 team. Griffin Jacks, back for the raise, didn't look great in his return. 2.2 innings. One strike out two walks. Seven hits and three earned runs. James Wood, he is back and badly enough in his first day back for the Nationals. So he's looking all right there. The Dodgers also got two catchers back. Will Smith is back. He batted fifth in two out of three games. Dolan Rushing is also back, but most likely he's on going to be a short site platoon with Will Smith. Justin Robleski, he is back as a pitcher, but he is going to be in the pen for the Dodgers, not probably not going to be starting, although that remains to be seen on what the team ends up doing with Shohei O'Tani. And then Riley Greene back from hamstring strain for the Tigers. He batted fourth in his two games back so far. So a lot of big names here. Any of those pitcher specifically that kind of stand out to you as guys that you might want to pick up? Yeah, Davis Martin is interesting. It's tough to trust him though, even though he had it for good first outing back just because of how rough it was before he went on the IEL. It might be

7:20a type of thing where I want to see one more good one before I go get him, but so late in the season that you might not have the chance to wait around. And then Griffin Jacks, yeah, tough, very bad first start back, but I think there was some defensive issues there that kind of led him down. And then Eric Lowell going down is tough, maybe opens the door for M. H. Sheen to get back in the rotation with Rocky Sasaki also on the IEL. So if you need like a cheap win, maybe you can look at M. H. Sheen's way, but yeah, there's some interesting hitters coming back to that'll give a jolt to some lineups, a couple Dodgers too, but seems like they're going to be part-time guys so they might be a little frustrating to roster right now. Yeah, in terms of some other new Shohei O'Tani, there's still no clear timeline for him to resume pitching. The Dodgers have said if he comes back, we're going to maybe space some time between his starts, but they're not officially ruling him out in terms of returning for pitching. He's dealing with both like a bicep and any issue right now. So the Dodgers might also just just rest him, which could be just the classic Dodgers thing to do and just choosing not to, you know, not to place a temperate baseball and send

8:25away for October. So just keeping an eye out for O'Tani, of course it'd be a big blow if he ends up hitting the interest list for any of your fantasy teams. Anthony Santander, he's missed the entire season in Toronto. He could restart his rehab assignment next week. It remains to be seen whether he's really going to be a viable fantasy option down the stretch though. Jacob Webb hit in the forum on a comebacker in yesterday's game. He is currently the closer for the Cubs, but right now I believe the MRIs came back negative. So nothing to necessarily worry about, but still could be a thing that affects him in not being able to come back immediately and pitching. So data policy will probably lines up as the closer for Chicago. Andy Pahez resume swinging a bat this week. Unfortunately, though, he was like unlikely to return before the season end. Dodgers again, they're probably going to play the game of saving him for the postseason rather than having him brushing back in time for the end of September. Nick Pavella could return for one more rehab start. We're probably looking at a return next week or maybe early the week after. Joe Mosgrove,

9:26he's not recovering well between his rehab starts. So his return to the Padres might be a little slower. And then Rhino Harn could return next week for the Pirates, right? That's where he's at right now. It's so that would be a nice little power bat. It remains to be seen whether he's also fantasy viable to. And then some promotions. Last Montez is up for Seattle, Ethan Salas, up for the Padres. Both of those guys obviously have obviously have a lot of prospect pedigree, but we'll kind of see, you know, how it looks for both of those guys in their first couple stints in the majors. So exciting to see them make it to the show, but ultimately you might want to pump the breaks on, you know, adding them as starters. Last Montez has some interesting power potential. And that's probably all I can say about those guys. Yeah, he's still very raw. They have a lot of home games right now, which isn't great place to hit, but then I think it's at A's and I of course, like next Friday and to the next week. So if there's somewhere a lot of righties in there, that's what Montez is going to play and do his best.

10:26So, you know, worth looking into those upcoming pitching matchups, you know, when the beginning of the next week rolls around. And then yeah, other guys, some of them might not get back in time for the end of our fantasy seasons at least, but Ohern could be a nice, you know, nice bat to stash on the IL and come back for like the last week or two of your fantasy season. I definitely have him in a couple spots just in case that does end up happening. Yeah, especially when we're in a road o league, right? You know, at this point, it's probably hard to really pick up any major spots, but you know, maybe a couple of homeers here there can help your team out in, you know, moving up a spot here or there. So, yeah, Ohern, some of these guys who are like coming back for like the last two weeks of the season, you know, maybe it doesn't make sense and head to head leagues to pick them up. It might make more sense in those season long road o leagues. Yeah, and in my head to head leagues, I really, you know, try my best to save my ads for guys who are going to make a current impact, but if you like get to the end of the week and you want your matchup or it looks really, you know, promising and you have an extra move land around, you know, I think that's the time when you want to go get an IL guy. It's not someone that you need to prioritize necessarily. Yeah. All right, well, that's going to wrap it up for the

11:29news and notes segment. Moving on to player performances, we're going to start with August 28th. So, who do we got there? Yeah, so on 28th, Ryan Clark was on our hitter recap, highlighting George Banger, who's come alive a little bit after pretty disappointing for a few months of the year, but I'm going to be talking about a younger outfielder and that's Michael Harris, the second of Atlanta, used two for three of the double homeers, two rounds and three RBIs, and it's been a really solid season at the play for for Harris. Good fantasy season, but also a really good real life hitting season. Been waiting to see him fully break through since his great rookie year where he beat out teammate Spencer Strider for the rookie of the year award. But the last two years, he's actually been a below average hitter by WRC plus this year though, 122. He's making much better contact, he's pulling the ball in the air and above average rate, and that's helped him post a career high in homeers even though we have almost a month still left to play in the season. He never walks, that's still the same with Michael Harris, so it limits his ceiling a little bit and the steals are down. I think he's maybe only at nine steals right now, but the power is better, the average is

12:30good and it's kind of backed up by the contact quality here. So do you believe more in this version of Michael Harris from a fantasy perspective, you know, better hitter, but runs less kind of a change in the profile here? Yeah, it's it's interesting because looking at that rookie season, I think we were all kind of expecting Harris to be, you know, but actually one of these guys who could be a 30-30 guy, but yeah, the speed has dropped a little bit, but I think in turn, at least he's being a little bit more consistent at the plate than what we've seen maybe the past two seasons. So yeah, I think he's viable, it's just like a four-cadaver guy, you know, maybe not really an outfit or one sort of player, but you know, definitely in that low end outfit or two, high end outfit, little three-range. It's kind of surprising that the number of runs he has is so low for a guy who you know, can get on basic decent clip, but yeah, I mean, I do agree with you that if you could get that walk right up, get that OPP up, then there's a lot more value in his game. He's also kind of

13:32batting 4th, 5th, 6th, 4th Atlanta, you know, more often batting 4th and 5th, but you know, that's a stack team, so I'm not necessarily surprised that he's not, you know, up in the lineup a little bit more, being able to get more at bats. That would be nice to see, but you know, it is what it is, that team is stacked. So ultimately, I think it's pretty good for him. I like that he's probably going to set a career high in RBI as well. So he's going to just be able to pretty much offer you pretty decent stuff in four categories, and if you can get double-digit steals, like you'll take that as well. Yeah, it's interesting, you know, the strikeout rates have been exactly 20% for the last three years, so that's his true talent right there, you know, slightly below average, strikeout rate, and he's definitely having better bat bit block this year than the past couple years, 331 versus 281, 300 the past two years. So some of that's feeling the 295 average, but he's a 270 acre hitter, so yeah, I feel good about him as kind of a reliable source of batting average and homers. I think the 24 he's at right now, he's hit a couple actually since this recap is maybe

14:38a little bit higher than I would be expecting for him in future years, but he is lifting the ball more this year, you know, career high, fly ball rate by a little bit, and that, you know, increased pull air contact is also helping him turn more of his fly balls into homers. So yeah, I think that this adjustment is overall, it's positive in terms of his fantasy profile, he's still at least like chipping in with steals. He's topped out at 20, right? So it's not like he's ever been quite the high steals guy that, you know, maybe we thought he'd be after he stole 20 and 114 games as a rookie, but yeah, I think I feel I feel good about it, but I don't know if I'm I'm willing to like buy high, you know, off of this career type of offensive season for him, he's still, you know, 110 WRC plus guy for his career, so just slightly above average hitter. Yeah, and I think that's why it's kind of like putting him in that high end SB, I'm sorry, oh, I'll feel there three tier, I think I'm probably missing a few earlier. Just because like the the negative regression is definitely possible, right? It's fueled a little bit by that 331 Babib, but he tends to have pretty decent Babib numbers, his career Babib is actually 318, so

15:41it's not like, you know, 331 is out of this world. Like if anything, the last two seasons, he's had poor Babib numbers for his career, and you know, that's led to lower averages. So he probably won't be, you know, I think, you know, maybe he's a little bit more accurately of like a 270 to 280 average hitter. Maybe that's more appropriate to put for him. But even then, you know, I think there's still value in being a guy who can contribute in, you know, at least three categories really well, you know, you know, getting 20 plus homers, if he's able to get 80 plus RBI, that 280, right? That's pretty solid, and then just chipping in the steals and runs, I think is, yeah, it's enough to make him a viable player on your fantasy team. Yeah, very well-rounded for sure. On the pitching side, Sara, Mr. Jackson, Rifurreal, who was Jake Crumpler's SP Roundup for Jackson Kent, a national's prospect has made a couple of big league starts, but I'm going to be talking about a veteran with a new team who has had some troubles at Luis Castillo. Now with the White

16:42Sox, he was at your twins, and this one got the no decision, but really struggled for andnings for earn eight hits, one walking only one strike out. Six twists and a 19% CSW on 75 pitches, and he had that one 10 strike out outing a couple weeks ago, and it looks at this point like that was really an outlier. He hasn't really displayed the pristine command and increased Velo that we need from him in order to trust him a little bit more, and even though he is throwing enough strikes and has some decent pitch separation, he's just not getting any whiffs. And yeah, Jake says, don't make the mistake of trusting him in September. I think it was today. He had another really poor outing. So yeah, it's been Luis Castillo. It's kind of last year he was fine this year. It's just been really rocky, and obviously he's in a worse pitching park now. So do you feel like his days of strategy relevance are officially behind him? It's kind of surprising. Just given the long track record, and he's only 33, but that kind of seems like where he might be at now and Luis Castillo. What do you think? I think that's accurate. I mean, I'm just looking at his strike out numbers, right? Like the really good seasons that he had, which were kind of that one season where he was traded the Seattle from

17:43Cincinnati, and then the his first season in Sid's daddy, or his or in Seattle 27% strike out rate. And we did see some good numbers when he when he wasn't Cincinnati, the 2020 shortened season 30% strike out rate, the 2019 season 29% strike out rate there. So he's always had really good strike out rates until really the last three seasons where it dropped from 27 to 24% in 2024. And that's what kind of started noting, noticing are the year you are creeping up the whips creeping up, you know, don't really love what we're seeing here. Last year, you know, I think was really just the, oh, okay, something is not right with Castillo, 22% strike out rate, you know, still managed to get like a mid three's ERA, but the whip was still high. And then this year, I think it's just it's everything's trending worse, a little bit higher walk rate, a little bit lower strike out rate, you know, the ERA is ballooned, the whips ballooned, the Babip is up, which, you know, that might not be something that under his control, but nonetheless, you know, it just

18:44feels like everything's kind of going wrong with Castillo. And like you mentioned, the park situation is not very good for him now at this point. So yeah, I would say I would hesitate towards drafting Castillo, like even in later rounds, just because I think there's more interesting guys that you could potentially get next year at the end of a draft rather than a guy like Castillo, even if, you know, they're both around. Yeah, I think that, yeah, and Charlotte Leagues, you know, until further notice, he's going to be completely off my radar. I feel like Seattle was really the only thing keeping me interested just because yeah, there'll be some spots where you can stream that home, and it'll be solid just because it's such an easy place to pitch, and obviously he's lost that now. So there'll be in Chicago again next year, he's had one more year on this contract, you know, barring a trade, and I feel like Chicago does have some good pitching prospects coming up, but they also have, you know, like Eric Fetties in their rotation right now. So I feel like Castillo should have a rotation spot next year most likely. So maybe like pick 300, right? I'll

19:46take a look at him, you know, coming off a bad year, like a small chance that he bounces back, but I think those shall reliefs, I'm happy to let somebody else draft him or just keep him out on the way for why I definitely feel like he's been a little bit overrastered this year. I'm at least on Yahoo, when I look at his roster, ship percentage still like, you know, 60, 70 percent, it's pretty surprising. Yeah, I think just some of it, if you want to just say like, hey, it's bad luck for him, like you've at point to the bad bit, you could point to the really low left on base rate, you could point the fact that his hits per nine, jumped up by almost two hits this season, but all those things also kind of track with just the drop in strata rate as well. So if you can't get anyone out, then like naturally some of those other metrics are going to go up, where he's allowing more hits and, you know, people are are able to not get stranded because, you know, guys are getting hit. So, yeah, unfortunately, I think Castillo's time is as, you know, a decent pitcher in like a 12 team league is pretty much gone at this point. Yeah. All right, moving on to

20:48Saturday, the 29th County Crow Armstrong was the hitter recap article from Kevin O'Brien, and we're going to talk about PCA because what a day it was for him, four for six with three homeers, four runs and six RBI. It's been a really dream season for PCA as he shook off an early slow start to become a serious contender for the NL MVP race. Unlike last year when he faded in the second half of the season, this year he's kept it going in 2026. He hasn't slowed down at all in the second half in 209 played appearances after the all star break. PCA's got 17 homeers a 260 average and a 995 OPS really impressive considering actually his the first half of the season was really solid 21 homeers to 91 average and a 917 OPS and 418 played appearances. He's at I believe it's like 38 homeers and 30 or maybe like 30 will actually have the numbers right here. Yeah, he has 38 homeers and I think he's at like 32 steals or something like that. So already has a 30 30 season. I think with a month left of 40 40 is definitely within his grasp. And so I think that kind of just

21:50begs the question, how high are you willing to draft PCA next season? Is he kind of in that top three conversation for you? Or are you still kind of like, hey, he's really awesome, but maybe not at the level of like a guy like judge or Yardon or show, hey, yeah, what do you think PCA's ceiling is next season? Yeah, I mean, I think he's though, I think he's the one one. I think he can make a case for Otoni. But those are really the only the only guy I think he can make a case for over PCA. I mean, you know, time has been banged up this year. So I don't know, you know, with the step back in the steals, especially if the case will hold up. So yeah, I just feel like the the homeers speed or the power speed ceiling is just for the floor and ceiling floors high ceilings high, both of them here for PCA. I think the batting average, you know, 280's maybe a little bit misleading. I mean, still strikes out, you know, 26% of the time. So I don't expect him to necessarily be a huge batting average asset, but I think he'll be a huge asset everywhere else. And yeah, he's going to be on the field every single day. We know that 100% and he just he just racks everything up and then the cups, you

22:53know, usually have a really solid offense. So yeah, I feel good about him being my one one. I think maybe if I'm like setting my draft pick preference, you know, like an NFBC format, maybe I won't pay put the number one pick as my top preference. Like maybe I was this year with Otoni because I don't know that he's leaps and bounds above everybody else. But I mean, this year is the number one player on the player rater. You know, whether you look at Razzball or fan graphs by like six or seven dollars at least. So that tells you that even if he takes a step back, you know, he gets token p for the number one player. So yeah, I feel good about him being, you know, at the at the tippy top next year. Yeah, I think what's impressive to me too. I mean, Riggley is such a weird field sometimes for batting. Like sometimes it's great when the wind's going out and that sometimes it's horrible when the wind's coming in for the outfield. He's hit 23 of his homers in in Riggley. So for him, he is doing fine with dealing with that park 309 average as well. If you want to point to something as like, oh, this year is like a little bit of an aberration. Like the 3333 Babib is a, you know, a tiny bit high for sure.

23:57But I think that's just kind of skills growth for him. Like sure, even if that drops down to, you know, 292, which is what he had his first season in the majors. You know, that still probably only drops his average down to like 260 at where. So, you know, he like what you said, even if the average is a little bit suspect this season, it's not going to, you know, just drop and become, you think he's going to become a really bad hitter because of it. So yeah, I agree with you. For sure, top three for me, one on one is it'll be tough for me to do that. But I think just with the fact that he is a five tool guy with regards to fantasy and I think everyone else, maybe with the exception of Bobby Witt doesn't necessarily offer the heavy value anymore. I think PCA has a very good case to be going as the first player overall in the fantasy drafts next season. Yeah, and the floor of the Royal's offense with Witt unfortunately is just so low. And we've seen that for the last couple of years, even with some promising guys coming up. So, yeah, PCA, I think he's super safe, even if he's streaky. He just has a perfect power stroke.

25:02You know, he hits the ball in the air a ton and he pulls the ball in the air more than almost anybody else, like over 30% of the time. So, you know, I think the 38 Homer is 140 games is like way out over his skis. But yeah, I think that he's just he has a perfect power swing and I might hurt his average sometimes, but I think that the power is here to stay for sure. He's got two straight years of bat speed gains in the contact quality, you know, and swing path to back it up. So I feel good about him. Yeah, and likely to have over 200 runs, plus RBI combined as well this season, definitely within reach for him. So, you know, you look at some of the other guys that are in that 33 conversation like J. Ram, for example, he tends to struggle on the other kind of stats part of it because his team's so awful. So, it's nice that that PCA has this kind of like perfect storm of just like really good skills, but also a really good team around him. Are you moving onto pitching touring the Bay with tugboat from J. Crumpler talking about tugboat Wilkinson of the San Francisco Giants, but we're going to talk about Chris Anchez instead on also potentially a high pick in next year's draft. What up against the angels and a no decision on Saturday, seven innings,

26:04no one runs two hits, one walk in eight strikeouts. Definitely what Sanchez is capable when luck is on his side. He got his golden goal, golden goal, thanks to the domination on his changeup, got 11 whips good for a 41% CSW, and it was a really good August for Sanchez. He had a 172 ERA 1.15 width and a 30% strikeout rate, which was his best month outside of that incredible May that he had where he didn't give up a single or run. Yet, even at his best, you know, J. Crumpler is kind of, you know, probably the race just a tiny bit just because the whip is just always going to be a slight issue with Sanchez. His bad but is really, really solid as in like, you know, he's kind of getting a little lucky, I should say, with his bad but actually I want to look at it specifically before I think his bad but is like somewhere in the 300s or not mistaken. Yeah, 335, 355 is doing a good job stranding guys. Exactly. So even though that bad will pose issues to his whip, he's been doing solid.

27:05So going into the next season, how do you feel about Sanchez? Do you think he ends up like a, do you think it's drafted as a top five pitcher? Are you willing to drop him as a top five pitcher? Or do you think kind of these bad but concerns that let's be honest, have been there kind of his entire career? The lowest season, the lowest bad but he's ever had in the season is 272. So still I think well above average. Do you think kind of the whip risks with Sanchez, push him out of that conversation for you to be drafting him as a as a pitcher pretty high end drafts? I think it pushes him out of like the SP1 conversation but not out of the SP5 conversation. I think I think he will go there and I'd be happy to take him there. It's, you know, another year of growth in the strike outrate and another year of him just absolutely eating innings. He seems like he's got a pretty good shot to clear 200 again to be the second year in a row and he's got 16 wins. So I wouldn't expect 16 again. You know, I think the 13 and 5 record he had last year is probably a more reasonable expectation but yeah, he's just got that elite track record at this

28:06point of eating innings with a great ERA and an OK whip right. I know the 1.19 this year and 1.17 for his career is a little frustrating and the Philly's defense, you know, seems to always struggle to help him out. So I understand that's part of the profile. I wouldn't be picking him expecting the whip to be, you know, below even 1.15 but I feel like I can be whip conscious later enough in dress to feel good about picking, you know, Sanchez as as my SP1. I guess it would be maybe like late second or late third round. So it's going to be it's going to be a high price but you know, I feel as good about his floor as pretty much anyone else just given, I guess besides scuba I'd say, you know, just given the regression we've seen from like schemes and some of the other top guys this year. Yeah, and we should say like last season, which already was kind of the breakout season for him, the numbers he has this year are not like so far in a way better than last year, right? Two, five year A last year, two, five, two, ERA this year, the whips where we've seen the kind of the bigger regression from 1.06 last year to 1.19 this year.

29:08But stricter rates, you know, improvement 26% to 27% but not like in insane amount. And the left on base, right? Like last year, 79.8% compared to 81.8% this year. So, you know, maybe he does just pitch really well, you know, out of the stretch or when there's when there's a guys on base, you know, maybe he gets gets is able to get to a different gear. This is all that to say what we saw last year was definitely repeated this year and, you know, likely will be repeated next year as well. I was a little surprised that Nick ranked up 23rd, but at this point, I mean, Nick's rankings are more about kind of the immediate sort of value as opposed to, you know, whole season value. So kind of that disconnect between, you know, where he is overall as a picture, this season compared to like where Nick has him right now in the list is maybe a little jarring, but yeah, I think just based on name appeal alone, he's going to be one of the top pictures drafted next year. Yeah, I think maybe I'd go scuba over him just because I'd prefer the guy who I know his web's going to be great and his ERAs either going to be good or great, whereas Sanchez, you know,

30:12I think the ERA is going to be great, but the web is going to be decent at best. So it's just maybe not as much of a floor there, you know, going to the 30th on the heading side top, Gunner was Kyle Stanzel's hit a recap for Gunner Henderson, who did have a multi-home or game against the A's, but he's kind of continued to struggle after that. So I'm going to be talking about Chase Delodder, Outfielder for the Guardians, having a great rookie year. He was 4x4 with two doubles, three rounds in an RBI, and he was, yeah, perfect for for four there, Guardians smoked the Royals 11th one. Damio alum has been an OBP machine, especially over his last 15 games when he slashed uh, 3th 92, 446, 588. So Delod has been great this year, had one stint on the IEL, but it wasn't terribly long and he's been really strong across the board. Average is definitely his best category sitting around 2.95 and everything else. He's just kind of solid. Do you think of Delodder as like a top 150 player? Do you feel like maybe that's a little too high for someone who's, you know, power speed is maybe good, but not great or wear you out on Delodder right now?

31:13I think top 150 probably makes sense. That's like what a guy who's on your team in a 15 teamer and then probably a guy on your bench and a 12 teamer. That's probably what the math works out to. I think the I think the trouble like you mentioned is that like his average is great and everything else is just like fine. So you know, in let's just say like a 12 teamer with 15 outfielders and two U-till spots. There's probably still some value for for Delodder to be on that team there. It's just like what he chips in isn't going to be incredible and love you mentioned the guardians. The offense isn't great. So even though he generally bats third, you know, maybe he's gets a little bit more opportunities for RBI, but he doesn't get as many run opportunities or you know stuff like that. So if he can show maybe like 15-15 potential, right? He has 13 homers around 9 steals. So he might be able to get to 15-15 by the end of the season. He plays a full season, you know, maybe we're looking at a guy who could potentially be, you know, potentially get to like 20 homers. I think that's where some of the he might have more

32:16value there, but right now just looking at him right now. I think top 50 is probably he's right on the fringe there is maybe what I'd say. Yeah, I think he's really well rounded that the contact skills are great. He's going out of 15% strikeout rate and his own contact rate is 92%, which is like borderline and lead. So he's consistently showing the ability to, you know, put the bomb play in. So I think the average floor is pretty high. And I think the rest of it though is, is not necessarily super spectacular. This dish hip and speed is nice though. He never stole over six bases in any minor league season. Obviously a lot of those were injury marries had a ton of foot problems. So that's not the most I would say encouraging, but he's almost made it through, you know, a full major league season. He's going to push 130 games. So that'll be nice to see, you know, the day is figuring out how to manage his body a little bit. I do think that the power ceiling, at least with his current bat speed and, you know, contact quality is more like 20, 22, something like that. His bat speed is just kind of average and he hits them all hard a lot,

33:18but he hasn't necessarily barrel it up as much. So yeah, I think that maybe inside pick 150, I'd have to go for someone, you know, with a little bit more kind of fantasy juice. But if I need him like some average late in a hole in the outfit, I'm definitely looking his way. Yeah, if you're an OBP league, I think there's definitely value there. It's got a 10% walk rate this year, 365 over me. So I think that's where he has a little bit more value is in those types of leagues. But yeah, I do wish he'd be able to translate some of this hard hit rate into actual homers. I'm curious what his launch angle is on those types of hits. He has an 11.9 launch angle just on average. But that doesn't really say anything about, you know, when he's hitting the ball hard, he only has a 6.3 barrel rate. So I think for me, that's a little worrying, right? That's a guy who maybe tends to hit the ball in the dirt a little bit more isn't really able to lift the ball as much. So maybe that's something that could be developed by he's only what 24 years old. So, you know, there's still maybe a little bit of coaching that he can go through,

34:24but you know, being on this Cleveland offense, I'm maybe not optimistic that those changes are going to happen. Yeah, and he played less than a full MLBCs and swerved the minor league games because of all the injuries. So, you know, maybe with more repetition, he tapped into that power a little bit more. On the pitching side, it's a sure thing was next. I asked for you round up for a great start from Mac Sherser, where I'm going to be talking about Zebby Matthews of the twins. He was home against the White Saxonist when I got the win with a great outing eight and a third, one or five hits, no walks in five strikeouts, nine whips and a 20% CSW 103 pitches. And it was a weird one because the start before, as Zebby showcases best slider of the season, but then in this one, only one out of 14 whips on the pitch and a 57% strike rate. So he turned to the four seam around the cutter. That was really what got it done for him in this one in the zone, almost 65% of the time. Had some babbub luck here, you know, as you'd expect with someone who goes eight and the third with only five strikeouts and no earn runs. And he almost finished it off for a Maddox, but he did allow two singles in a fly out in the ninth for one round to come across. But Nick loves his pitch

35:26separation of lefties, really getting on the edges constantly and then to change up down, you know, mixing well with those four seam raising cutters. So Nick's getting interested, you know, given the execution and the upcoming starts with White Sax guardians and angels. So maybe this slider will show back up next time out and it'll kind of be the full arsenal. Zebby's been a guy we talked about plenty, you know, over the last couple of years. I was definitely interested in him in season's past and it's been rocky, you know, the last couple of years and this year he's been finishing strong at least. So are you seeing anything different here? Do you think this is more just a good start for him? Yeah, he actually had a perfect, I think, through the sixth, if I remember correctly. And I think the thing that's always been an issue with Zebby has been the command, right? He was walking a lot of guys earlier this year. The past three starts, he's only, he didn't walk anyone in this one and he walked, you only had one walk in his past two starts. But you look at the pitch chart here and the like the strike some pots specifically and it's like, man, it's still all

36:26over the place. Like the cutter, it feels like he got a lucky on a couple of those those cutters that they weren't, you know, taken for too many hits. I mean, seven balls of play six outs, right? So I think there's still a little bit of luck here, unfortunately. But I think because of the schedule that you mentioned, right, where it's, you know, White Sox guardians, angels, I think there's value to have Zebby on your team. I don't think that's necessarily a bad pick up. But to expect the same thing, again, that he did this, this start would be, I think a little crazy for me to believe. I just kind of wish that the command could be a little bit more polished and he's, you know, not just targeting all over the zone, but actually has like a game plan for where those pictures are going. He's kind of doing that with the change up in the slider a little bit. But I don't know the fastballs, Kaminer still kind of all over the place and that that worries me just a tiny bit. Yeah, I think his career arc, you know, so far since he got to the majors really kind of illustrates the command versus control, you know, debate and not debate, but understanding the difference and why

37:30he can't just, you know, look at minor league track records, you know, he was the guy who just filled up to someone like better than anybody else, basically in the minors in 2023. He had a three and a half person at Walgreens in 2024, 1.9 percent, right? So he was just overwhelming guys with a deep arsenal that was good enough to get out minor league hitters, but then he gets to the majors and, you know, he's giving up a lot of home runs. So I think he's shown some growth in terms of he's getting more ground balls, you know, not throwing his fastball quite as much, you know, he's got a really well-rounded six-pitch mix at this point, but doesn't it seem like he necessarily has a go-to offering if the slider is going to go in and out like this. So yeah, I think he's still going to be prone to some tougher outings. You know, I still got a four, five, eight year-round this season. So yeah, I think he'll have his moments, but yeah, I'm not necessarily seeing someone who is like breaking out, maybe in the same way that we would have expected him to like a year, year two, though. Yeah, and you know, when you have the kitchen sink, it's nice that you have all those all those pitches in your arsenal, but it's using them correctly, right? That's kind of the

38:34thing going on here, and it is a little worrying that basically in the two pitches that you'd expect him to get whiffs, has changed up in a slider, they only combine for two here. So, yeah, but I think it was as we continue to see some growth throughout the rest of the season, maybe that makes things interesting for drafts next year that you kind of pick him up at the as a late-round pickup, you know, maybe he becomes worth that. But yeah, right now, I think just enjoy the fact that he has a soft schedule, but maybe don't believe in the fact that he's just going to go out and be ace-ish. I'm not saying that he's ever going to be an ace, but you know, be able to return starts like this where he's going like six, seven innings deep and pulled a guy's to, you know, just one in run. I would say that that's maybe a little bit more out of the norm for Zeeb. Yeah, and he's only two of the six pitches, you know, greatest buff average by PLB. So it is more of a kind of quality over quality over quality type bars, not at this point. Yeah. All right, moving on to the 31st, I beg your pardon by Ryan

39:37Amor was the hitter recap article. Talk about not just out of the spec, but really just the entire Cubs team that hit 10 homers in that game. Yeah, the Cubs have just been on a tear. Unfortunately, they have just no shot of overcoming the brewers for the number one spot in the NL Central, but it looks like they've got a pretty good hold on at least the number one ball card spot. So that we want to see down the stretch. We're going to talk about Raphael Devers instead. It's our monthly check in on him. He went one for three with a homer, two runs an RBI and two walks and yeah, Bryce Alder tried to sneak a cutter past Devers and guess what Devers did the work there. He hit a solo homer for his 30th homer of the season. It's got a 820 OPS, which is only 12th among call of headfirst baseman. So I think that maybe speaks to just how deep first base is still. But Devers, I think after a much more line start to the season, he's been actually pretty decent after the All-Star break. He's dropped his strikeout rate from 27% to 21%. He's done pretty good in a bunch of different metrics there. We've talked about Devers at length on this podcast.

40:39But I think the improvement here that we see in the dropping the strikeout rate, increasing the walk rate, those overall good things that we like to see from Devers. And so I was just kind of curious. His ADP was ranked around 60 earlier this year. So looking at Devers' line for this year, do you think that he's returned his value this year? Or is just the fact that, hey, there's a bunch of really good first baseman this year. Still kind of mean that even though he's had decent season this year, maybe it's not worth investing in him next year around the same price. Yeah, I think he's gotten there. I think it's just been a weird shape. It took a while for him to get going, but now that he has, he's pushing 35 home, I should have second straight year. I think he'd be pretty happy with that. It's not like a huge win at a cost, but sometimes with those high picks, you just don't want to swing and miss. And I don't think that you have here with Devers. I think I'd be, yeah, I don't think the price should go up necessarily, because I think he's just shown more of the same. And the batting average is

41:41just going to be kind of neutral as opposed to plus like it was in Boston. So yeah, I think that he's been solid. I think you'll look back and generally be happy even if there were some headaches along the way. I mean, he's hitting more five balls this year than he's ever hit before. His five ball ray is, it depends on how you measure it, but 45% on fan grass on our player page where we measure him a little different 30%. Both of those are Olyto, no matter how you define the fly ball. And he always says he had his fly ball super hard and that's the same this year on his fly ball exit velocity this year is 95.3, which is in the 95th percentile. So, you know, he's hitting a tough hitter's park where, you know, there's not a lot of, it can be tough to clear the fence, but if you really just lean into a fly ball heavy approach and you're really hitting balls hard, you know, they're still going to get out. So yeah, I feel like maybe he doesn't have, you know, a 40-homer ceiling playing half his games in San Francisco, but he clearly has the the home or the power floor. You know, he hasn't had under 27 home runs since the abbreviated 2020 season and then, you know, 21 and 2018. So very safe, very safe power back here and I don't think

42:42that's changed. Yeah, and I know last week, you know, we were talking about the elite first baseman, right? We were looking at, you know, Pellanzo, Madelson, you know, Ben Rice, you know, Nick Kurtz. I think like if you don't get one of those, getting Devers is not a bad like consolation prize, right? If he's able to get 30 homeers, you know, bad around 250, you know, even though maybe the offense around him isn't great to get him like a ton of counting stats, you could definitely do worse than Devers for sure. And I think even though he's probably not a top five guy anymore in first base, he's still going to be able to return at least decent value where, like you said, you're just not going to be disappointed by what you get from him. Yeah, and he's, you know, he's shown a lot of their ability over the years to his play. 130 eight games or more every year since the short and season. So, you know, he's going to be, he's going to be out there, you know, putting up home for sure. All right, moving on to pitching. Molina Jolie was the SP runner vertical, but we're going to talk about Clay Holmes who I know we've mentioned a bunch of times in the streamer segment for the past

43:44couple of weeks. And now that he's a Chicago cub. And yeah, this one, this started against Milwaukee, probably wouldn't have expected that he crews, but yeah, the team behind him was pretty solid. He went six innings. No one runs five hits two walks and eight strikeouts. Yeah, so again, just look at those numbers from Clay Holmes. We're not exactly what you expect to get six shot on innings and eight strikeouts. And yeah, really good start from him. It was kind of weird though, because he was actually one to two ticks a little bit slower on his velocity. I think the sinker was coming in at like 92 miles an hour, even though it typically comes in at 93. Pretty much all his pitches were about one to two mile per hour slower. He had a 43 strike rate on his sweeper. It was in his own 38% of the time. And it didn't get a single width. And nonetheless, overall, really good day for him. So that I mean, that's baseball sometimes, right? You just look at the statue. You're like, how did he do this? And it's like, well, his sinker and his cutter did a

44:47lot of things well and everything else, not very good. But yeah, it's shout out to Clay Holmes, we're having a good start here. And like we mentioned, he's kind of been teetering on the status of like better than streamer, mostly due to his roster rate for the past couple weeks. But you know, looking for the rest of the season, obviously with this Cubs offensive juggernaut right behind him. If he's available in your league, are you in and picking him up for that final month of baseball? Yeah, I think you have to just the service level numbers are so good and he's clearly executing in a great situation. This is a start that I agonized about in a couple leagues because the wind is blowing out at Riggly and you know, the Brewers are decent offense and I eventually, you know, ended up going with it in all my leagues that I have. And I'm very glad that I did, because obviously it was a great start. Yeah, the diminished stuff with the greater wishes weird is his Veele has kind of been down since he got to the Cubs. I don't know, you know, if that's productive, the injuries are covering from or what it is. But yeah, he's executing great, the Cubs defense, you know, flies all over the field. PCA is obviously amazing and they have some really solid in fielders too and you go for an honor those guys. So yeah, I think he's in a

45:51great situation right now and he's at the Marlins this weekend and the next week is Veele home against the pirates and yeah, Riggly can get cold, you know, this starting in starting in September. So yeah, I'm running him out there pretty confidently until I see, you know, even a single hiccup. It was one bad start off the aisle and he's been, you know, pretty fantastic since then. Right, like don't expect eight strikeouts from him, but you know, he'll be able to get you a decent amount that it's not a trojus, but I guess two starts to go healing had one. So there's that. But the start after that five check out. So, yeah, Clay Holmes, I think still a really solid picture. I'm honestly just really surprised that this what three year long experiment of turning him into his starter has actually worked out for the most part for him. So yeah, impressive deceit nonetheless. Yeah, year A wins quality starts, you know, that's what you're looking for from him. I think if you get strikeouts or decent whip, you know, that's just the plus. I'll go into September first. Luis, actually, I think we didn't have a hit or recap for this day. So I just thought pulled on Neil Cruz. Had a solid game. Four for six with four singles. Kind of a weird game by

46:55on Neil Cruz. Denders would expect that from him, but one round scoring for our BI. He's been pretty good since he came off the aisle a couple of weeks ago. I mean, it's been only half a season of sample for him this year, but it's basically been first round caliber in terms of fantasy. 17 overs, 26 deals and a 275 average. And yeah, we kind of, Neil Cruz kind of whips out this a little bit, you know, when we draft him high, he burns us, when we draft him late, he's fantastic. Is this enough for you to believe in him as like a top 50 guy next year? Do you think that buying in on this, you know, half season breakout will end up being a mistake? Like, maybe it has been in years past for Cruz. Yeah, dude, this is so weird. Like, his strikeout rate has gone up and his average has like, climbed up so high. And I don't know what to do, though, because I love O'Neil Cruz. Like, and, but this year was like, he's the first year. I was like, I'm not going to really go after him because it's like, I've been burned too many times. Like you mentioned. And yes, he was hurt for, you know, half the season. So in some respect, he was maybe the bright call not to draft him. But when he's been healthy, he's been

47:58incredible. The 388 Bapab is just what absolutely scares me and makes me think that he is not worth a top 50 pick. I think where he was going in drafts this year, I think makes sense for where he should be going next year. But I think people are just going to look at this stat line. It's like, wow, in half a season, he went 1725 or, you know, whatever he is going to end up with. It's like, this is a guy who's a shoe in for a 30, 30 season. You know, they're going to get sucked in like that. And you know, I might get sucked in like that too. We'll see. But I mean, I think he's more likely just going to be like a 240 to 50 average guy. That Babab just has to drop. There's no way that through he's going to be able to maintain a 388 Bapab next year. And the fact that the Struggle rate has gone up just scares me just the tiny bit. I mean, it was already high. So what's another 2% when you're striking out 32% of the time. But it just really feels like he can't, it's like he can't keep getting away from this meme. And I think that's just how I'm going to treat O'Neill Cruz in next year's drafts. Yeah, if you're drafting, I'm going to expect him to be an

49:03asset and buying average. It's definitely a mistake. Just like the 200 last year was way too low. You know, there's no way someone who hits the ball as hard as he does can, you know, should have a 262 Babab and hit 200. Just because he hits the ball, this hard doesn't mean he should have a 388 Bapab either. Right? The truth is, somewhere in the middle there, he's a 324 career guy. So he'll run above average Babab. I think that's a reasonable expectation. But some normal regression will definitely have him in the 240 range. Yeah, he's been super proficient on the basis. He's actually, you know, for someone who I feel like is frustrating sometimes, at least in the outfield and from like a baseball IQ perspective, he's 98 for 112 on the bases in his career. So he's a really proficient base dealer. And he kind of chips in with the power. I mean, it doesn't really hit the ball in the air enough to be an amazing source of power. But obviously when he gets a hold of it, he does go yard a lot. So yeah, I think I was in on him. Well, I guess I wasn't in on in this year. I just kind of ended up with him because he fell past 80 p.m. some drafts and I feel like it was worth the shot. I feel like next year, I'll be open to the price of it's like top 50, but I don't think I feel comfortable targeting him. You know,

50:07he's a guy who's a little bit unreliable and can be hard to, you know, really invest all your teams in and a guy like that at that high pick. Yeah, he had a 93 AB A 80 p in NFBC last year or so. That's like like end of the eighth round, essentially. I love it. If I could get him there, I think I don't think he's going to make it to that point. I think he's going to get top. He's going to be a tough five round pick for sure. So and I think at that price, it's just like, you know what, if he succeeds on another team, just congrats. You know, you were willing to take the gamble and to work out, but it is surprising for like again, for how much he hits them all so hard that he doesn't actually get enough in the air that much. Only a 24% flyball rate, which is just crazy to me. Yeah, he's got that that Vladigurero problem, you know, kind of one of the same. On the pitching side, my headings and the clouds for headings and pia as he made a spot start for the red socks and it did not go well, but I'm going to be talking about a guy who expect a lot more

51:07out of who also did not go well. The pitching duel between Paul Skins and Logan Webb was anything but and Logan Webb is who I'm going to be talking about two innings, nine or nine hits, two walks in a strikeout, six whiffs, 22% to his W on 65 pitches. And yeah, between him, Kyle Harrison, Paul Skins, we've had some guys who you definitely had your playoff matchups, Ruin or at least a major setback early in this week. Webb got single down the third inning, four straight singles opened the locked in X2, another single finally got knocked out of the game. A ton of bad, bad bit block here, but it's just been a bad season for Logan Webb. He was kind of decent, I would say, for most of the year. And then a couple, the last couple starts is just really falling apart. He's always been a guy's best trade is dependability, you know, volume and ERA with kind of a mediocre whip. But now he's going to lost that dependability trade. I think his ERA is pushing for at this point if it's not over. So what it was just to do with the guy where, you know, we dropped him for the volume. And now, yeah, he's got a 4.2 on ERA through, you know, 150 innings this year.

52:09Yeah, Webb's had a really weird season between March 3rd, May, where he was hurt in May. Essentially, he's he had a ERA well before comes back in June. Has a 0.708, a 7-1 ERA. I think that's what everyone's like, oh, Webb's fixed. July, bad starts again, 6.59 ERA. And then August 2.83, hey, the ship's back and then, you know, the start happens. And I think the problem with Webb, too, it's like, you know how Nick will label guys like cherry bombs and stuff like that. The high highs of Logan Webb are not really that high because he doesn't get like a ton of strikeouts either. Like he's always just been like decent ERA guy. I will walk guys so his whips never really great either. So to me, like he's not even a cherry bomb because he just doesn't return like the strikeouts like that we'd expect from a guy like Dylan Seas, for example, right? He's the classic cherry bomb.

53:10So Webb for me is just a, it feels weird to call it a stay away just because of how dependable he is. Like maybe this season's just like a bad season for him and he goes back to who he was last year, which was really, really solid. I think I just don't, I probably wouldn't want to pick him up at his price in next year's draft right now. I'd probably pump the brakes just a tiny bit and just see maybe if I get him at a, you know, one to two round discount, then I'm okay with that. But I just think there's maybe some things in this makeup right now that are a little bit worrying. Yeah, I think I'm going to have to wait till I close the pick 100, you know, to go for Logan Web next year, I just feel like, you know, there's guys like Braxton Ashcraft, you know, someone more exciting, you know, Nolan McLean who was drafted around pick 100 and has had a really solid season, Drew Rasmus and like those type of guys, I just feel like maybe they're not, they're not the same track record, but I feel like yeah, they're just, they're just more appealing. They, they offer more upside than Logan Web does at this point. And yeah, if the, the ratio stability is something that you drafted him for and then he has a rough year, you know, I don't think

54:12you can cross him off your list, but I think that you do have to acknowledge that, yes, not a stable as he maybe initially thought. Yeah, and I'm really curious if he's just a guy who struggles against Rides, because I look at his, you look at his pitch mix like the sinker, you know, really good called strike pitch, his change up is halfway decent at least has a 15% swing strike rate, sweeper 7.76 swing strike rate, his cutter, which he uses 13% of the time, let's see, how much does he use against Rides? You know, only 10% of the time he gets Rides, so I just feel like he doesn't necessarily have like a great way to get guys out who are like Rides right now, you know, maybe maybe that's just looking at his pitch mix and just like taking an initial stab at guessing what's wrong, but again, he's not a big strikeout guy, but even last year, he at least average a strikeout at inning. And this year, the strikeout rate has just dropped by a ton, and

55:12it's just kind of a, yeah, a weird sort of a issue that he's doing with. All right, moving on to September 2nd, Henry VIII by Ben Solo was the hitter recap article, and we're going to talk about Vlad, who he actually had a good game, three for far with a double a homer run in five RBI, and of course, everyone probably had Vlad on their bench like I did, because no one's starting to fly at this point. And of course, he does that, which is super annoying. But yeah, he ended last night's game with just 21 doubles, seven homers, and a 098 ISO for a guy who has 93% top bat speed insane hard hit rates. And the weird thing is that this year, his launch angle has actually gone up, but you know, as we know about the school of hard hits from Vlad that doesn't necessarily mean anything. He probably is still hitting the ball hard into the ground. And yeah, all four of his baddabals were in the air last night, which is good to see. Obviously finished with a double on a homer. And I think what the reality is is that he is moving

56:19every year further and further away from that 48 home or season in 2021. And you know, I think all of us would be pretty happy if you could be able to hit to like 25 to 30 homers. This year, obviously, he has not been doing that. And so yeah, we've complained a lot about Vlad this season. And does this metric of like launch angle, even though I think even that number, I think comes with a lot of baggage and not really even understanding, you know, how that, how that changes when he's hitting the ball hard. Do you think he still makes it as a top 50 picks next year? Do you think there's still value in grabbing him as like, let's just say like a top eight first baseman? Or do you just going to let other people deal with the headache of Vlad and maybe just, you know, leave him because of how this season has gone. Yeah, I'm not, you know, going to write him off altogether even though he really did burn me this year. But I'm not going to draft him that high for sure. We just, you know, we talk so much about the depth of the first base position. And yeah, I think there's just a lot of other options that are more stable than you can go for. And that's especially in the top 50. So yeah, he's not

57:23going to be on my radar at that price. I actually dropped him in two leagues. I just, I couldn't do it anymore. I was done. It's one good game. You know, I think it's just been one so far. It hasn't been like an insane week. But yeah, I think he's just not, he's not trying the ability to consistently impact the ball that he has in the past. It's barrel rates like half of his career rate. So I think he could be dealing with some injuries and stuff. So that's why I'm not going to write him off completely. But yeah, I think the price is going to need to fall pretty far for me to be interested because it does seem like an average driven profile at this point. Yeah, and, and that's always been that's been the thing too is that the average actually has been that great either this year. But yeah, I think he's been dealing with, is it like a back thing? I think that he's been dealing with pretty much the entire season. It hasn't been enough to like push him onto the injured list, I think, but I think he's, he has missed some games like us. But yeah, it's just kind of been, I think that's been nagging him the entire year. I mean, yeah, 260 average, you can't really complain with that too much, but it isn't, it isn't great. And it would be nice

58:30to be a little bit better. Let's see, look at it. I want to see it runs an RBI. He's got 65 runs on the season 54 RBI. So even that's not not great. So yeah, it's, it's gonna be really tough for me to want to pick up flat next year after like basically picking up, I think for like two or three straight seasons because that was just very excited about all the bad ball metrics, but just didn't end up turning into anything remarkable with regards to his actual county stats. Yeah, their offense has really struggled this year too. So it's kind of a double way. I mean, I feel confident that he's going to have at least one more 30 home or season in his career. I just don't feel confident about, you know, when that year is going to be. So I'm going to be a little bit more has the tend to pick him for sure. Yeah. All right, dealing with the DA was the SP Render Particle from Nick, uh, talking about a Drew Anderson who faced my twins had a nice start, but overall has kind of been a nothing this season. Um, it's only he's, yeah, he's, I think he's only, yeah, he's only started seven games. So, uh, yeah, kind of weird for him. But anyways,

59:31we're going to talk about Hayden and Wysnäski of Houston. We'll actually go to Typhoon a little bit later on the streamer segment too. So I won't spill all the beans. But, uh, good starting against Chicago. Um, got a no decision. Seven innings. No one runs one hit two walks and five stretch out. So obviously the number that stands out there one hit given up in seven innings. Um, and, uh, you look at his start and, you know, it was kind of nice where he's facing mostly lefties. But the change up wasn't necessarily the best pitch for him. But then you look a little bit closer on the box core and realize that 16, uh, out of 17 balls and players were out. So a little bit of a luck, uh, aspect there. Um, and did get a bunch of weak contact, which was really nice. Nick kind of says a playman on the White Sox, even though, hey, the White Sox are the number one team in the Ails central. So they're not as horrible as they have always been, but nonetheless, they're not exactly a stellar team. So a little bit more of really good opponent luck rather than maybe incredible skills. Um, still, you know, he could be an interesting player. I think Tim, uh, Nick has him as a 15 team Toby. Um, just looking at his six starts so far. He's how four wins out of

1:00:36them. Um, and, you know, Houston, obviously, still trying to, uh, solidify their playoff spot. So they're definitely going to keep their foot on the gas. Um, do you think West Naiski is going to be reliable enough for a playoff run where you want to have them on your team? Um, or do you think, you know, even though he's probably a decent streamer, um, he's maybe not a guy that you are willing to, you know, keep on your roster for the rest of the season. Yeah, I think he, you know, the results are a little bit better than I'd expect from him, but he's done enough to ride a team. He's clearly executing well right now. And we're just seeing so many, you know, six man rotations and bullpen ganges and stuff these days that I think that the amount of reliable starters is in short supply. And West Naiski is doing well enough and is returned from surgery that, yeah, I think that you can, you can take the pong on him. Um, he throws a lot of sweepers to offset handed hitters because that's just kind of his best pitch. So I feel like that might not be the most reliable approach, um, you know, over the long term. Um, but yeah, I think that just for our results, perspective right now, I'm seeing enough to be interested in that.

1:01:37Yeah, looking at this game specifically, I mean, the sweeper was his most huge pitch. So, um, he did get at least four whips on that seven called strikes total. Um, it is interesting that he doesn't really have any other whiff pitches beyond that. So, um, I guess that change up is supposed to be the whiff pitch, but as you mentioned in this one in in 13 pitches thrown did get a single whiff or called strike on that change up. So, um, yeah, interesting play definitely down the stretch and I think Houston's going to give him opportunities at least for more wins even if he doesn't have the greatest strike on over his or great shows. Yeah, they're definitely starving for rotation options right now. So his presence has been big for them. Yeah. All right, well, that's going to wrap it up for player performances and moving on to streamers. I think we finally have a little bit of a winning record going on, right? Yes, bouncing back a little bit in the streamer department. Two wins, one push, one loss from two weeks ago. Tyler Mali was a win. No decision, but six and two thirds, nine strikeouts and one earned with a good whip. Anthony K was a loss. I four and two thirds, four earned. Andrew Albrus was a win, even though he did not get

1:02:41any wins. Ten and two thirds, uh, twelve strikeouts only allowed three earned runs at one point, one two whip. And then Zach Thorne was a push similar. It results in two starts for him. No wins, though. Again, I only nine strikeouts for the 2.45 year rate and 1.18 whip guys last week still finishing up, but it looks like it could unfortunately be a one in three week. We'll see how it ends up in this week. Yeah, Peyton was an Eski. We'll lead us off. I didn't see any. I'd say slandump streaming options for this week, but you know, you still need neat options this time of year. So Hayden was an Eski 33% Yahoo 56% CBS on the road for two at Philly and at Tampa. So decent offences, but they have their, you know, cold moments in Tampa is a good place to pitch. Linden Rube 31% Yahoo 66% CBS two home starts against St. Louis and the Padres. So two weaker offences there in a good home park. He's been uneven from a results perspective this year, though. So definitely some whip risk there. Cal Control next one. He is making a, you know, a resurgence with the Rangers. It's actually pitching right now and doing well. 47% Yahoo 43% CBS and he gets one

1:03:43start at the Mariners. So can't ask for much more out of one start there. And then Shane Drowing of the Brewers 27% Yahoo 51% CBS been a little bit rocky for him lately, but he gets a home start against the Reds, which is always a great situation, especially with the Brewers. So a nice wins league only type play right there. Yeah, normally, Quantral away from home, specifically, from Texas. You wouldn't love that, but he's at Seattle, which is pretty much the other better park to pitch. And so like you said, he's been on a pretty good run in today's game so far. Two innings hasn't given up a hit or a walk once. So he's had a really nice little resurgence kind of in the this last month of baseball, which is cool to see. Yeah, covered him in my most recent, you know, his illicit legit. And then the verdict was, you know, it's working right now. I'm not going to necessarily believe in him, like going forward, but you know, at Seattle, home against Boston, home against Toronto, those are looking like his next three matchups and one in Seattle and two in Texas is pretty much all you can ask for. So yeah, I think you can,

1:04:44I think you can work with that, you know, just for the remainder of the season, just given the group that he's in right now. Yeah. All right.
