He's a long time NFL draft expert who's been sweating Vikings football since the Randy Moss era. Great. Welcome to Ford Talks Purple. I've run and welcome into Thor Talks Purple. Ty Simpson has been in the news this week quite a bit in the media. We have figured out an angle to talk about Ty Simpson. I have been deep in the lab. The trade scenarios that have been tossed out for Ty Simpson. Today, AJ, I want to talk about some
potential trade scenarios if the Vikings became in play for a team looking to trade up and or down for Ty Simpson. Yeah, we were talking late last night, kind of into this morning and we were racking our brains like, you know, we've got this topic like Ty Simpson. He's been at the forefront of the football world news here this come like this past week. There's not really an angle that we can get him in for like Vikings talk, right? He said, no, no, no, because the Vikings they could capitalize. This is a chance for the Vikings to capitalize and take advantage potentially of another team who wants to reach up and trade up into that first round trying to select the Alabama quarterback. Obviously on ESPN, Dan Orlovsky was hyping up Ty Simpson throughout the week with some takes saying he felt that he was one of, if not the best quarterback prospect in this draft, even over Fernando Mendoza. Alabama's pro day was this past week. So we have better insight in testing scores and all this other stuff. But for you went ahead, like you said, you were in
the lab and you've concocted some trades, some ones that you feel like are actually value wise realistic for teams that might want to trade up and potentially select the Alabama quarterback. I'll let you maybe set this up with your process, the valuation because I'm going to throw up picks and then it's going to have numbers antiquated and attached to these. So walk me through how you actually get those measurements real quick while I pull up that sheet and then we'll get to the first mock one here in realistic prediction of a trade up between the Steelers going with the Vikings. Well, I mean, just in general here with all the, you know, this past week with the media coverage at Ty Simpson and then you see all these mock drafts coming out with trades of teams trade, you know, typically trading back into the first round to go in a time to pick Ty Simpson in the first round. So, you know, you think through that and then I took a look at the odds board for team most likely to draft Ty Simpson and that right now is sitting at the Cardinals are the
favorite in the market at two to one. And then after that, Jets plus two 50 Rams plus three 50 is interesting. Steelers plus three 50 that one makes a little bit more potential short term sense. We'll see what happens with Aaron Rogers and then the Browns at six to one plus six hundred. So basically with those five teams, what I did was I looked at what could be a trade package that would make sense for that team to acquire the 18th pick. And I think it's interesting because the Steelers now people are starting to, you know, kind of circle them as a, you know, potential spot for Ty Simpson. Well, the Steelers picked 21st in round one. And I think if, you know, Ty Simpson, I would, I'm still going to be surprised if he goes in the top half of the first round. So I'm still thinking that it's going to be in that latter half of the first round if he ends up going in the first round. And if the appetite for Ty Simpson is such where you have the multiple teams competing for him, well, the teams at the top of the second round, if they get wind that
Pittsburgh is indeed interested in him and circling him at 21, you know that you have to get above 21 to get him, right? And I think that's where the Viking selection could potentially get intriguing with some of these trade talks if teams feel that they need to hop the Steelers at 21 to go and get Ty Simpson. And looking at this here, the gap between pick 18, you're giving that pick a 340 point valuation down three spots to 21 drops off below 300. What is it about that gap that makes it so different? Because in our market exercises, we've seen a numerous amount of times where we get to pick 18 and it's like, well, there's some guys on the board here that like we're fine with him. We're fine with him. We're fine with him. We don't necessarily have to stick and pick this best player right here. We can move back a little bit. So this makes a lot of sense, just three spots for the Vikings. 21 99 and 21 16, you're giving it a value of 357.4
compared to the Vikings pick at 18 at 340. So what does that drop off? And also how I guess like how much mouthwatering would be in the Vikings war room if this was offered to them? Well, so beginning with the Steelers here, you know, because it's like if that's sort of the idea is the Steelers really like Simpson. And I just mentioned how, you know, some of these other teams that we're about to talk about, Jets, Cardinals, Browns that are sitting in the top half of the second. If they badly want to tie Simpson enough and thinking that you're going to have to get over the Steelers, well, there's also a three-dimensional chest thing going on because if the Steelers catch wind of that, then they might themselves try to do a short move up to just grab Simpson for themselves and sort of pop the line. So that's our first one here. And this is going to be the shortest move down obviously. For the Vikings, they would only be moving down three slots in this iteration like you were saying, AJ, and sort of an expected package, something that it could look like if a trade like that occurred. The 99th pick would almost assuredly be involved in that.
And with all these trades, I am forced. Now, one of the trades is the Vikings, one of these five that I'm going to toss out here is the Vikings moving up. But in all five of the trades, I do what is typically done in draft-day trades of the team trading up pays a slight tax. So in all of mine, you know, and I have, you know, this is my own trade chart, but I'm giving the sort of overage to the team that's trading down. So, but in all cases, I made it so that it was within 20 points or 21 point, I think one was 21, but very close, you know, but that was sort of my ideology. And just for, you know, to give people kind of reference, 20 points on my trade charts worth like a late fifth round pick. So that's kind of, you know, when you're thinking about what is that overage worth? But yeah, this would be the stealers moving up as sort of cost insurance, surrendering that third round pick, and then also potentially 216 there. I think that that
would drive the value for 18. All right. So that's option number one that you're saying could be a potential tie Simpson trade up by the stealers to select with the Vikings. Going down to number two, you mentioned the jets, and here's that offer proposal that you're you're thinking about. You have the Vikings trading pick 18 and 196 to the jets in exchange for 33 and 44, which like you said, within that kind of 21 point value window that you were saying that that tax, but turning 18 and in 196 and the 33 and 44, I think for this team, that sounds like an incredible deal. That's all I see it. This is my favorite one. You know, the the jets sitting there with those, you know, two high picks there in the second round. They started off. So that the 33rd pick is the first pick on Friday night. And then they come back real quick with 44. And if the jets, you know, if they want to get that thing done, now the jets, I will say they do pick at 16. So like, you
know, you might just do it there, right? As opposed to like because the jets already have two first round. The jets have all kinds of picks this year, next year, they're just stocked up. But we, in my lifetime, we've seen a jets draft where either at three or four first round picks, you know, I mean, like this, this, the jets just go in cycles like this and then they load up on on picks or whatever. But the idea of the jets trading back into the first round, I don't think that that's implausible. Now this Simpson thing again, you know, maybe you just go the 16th pick there, but this is the kind of value range that would be worthy of the 18 pick with the Vikings tossing in 196 to keep that thing within that 2021 point bumper there. But yeah, if you could add 33 and 44 in this draft class, where not many people see a huge qualitative talent difference, you know, once you get out of that top half of the first round going all the way into the mid late second round, you have a lot of kind of analogous prospects there. And it wouldn't be a surprise to see one,
you know, go 22 against, you know, you know, but whereas band of outcomes could be down into the 40s, right? Just depending on the way that things go. So yeah, but yeah, that would be from a value perspective for the Vikings. That's definitely the best one. And I guess just from our mock history here, I'm thinking 33 and 44 instead of just taking like your avion terrell or your, you know, name a player at 18, all the sudden that becomes a maybe a Peter Woods or Caleb Banks false right to that top of the second round. And then right away 11 picks later, you're going with, you know, potentially, if Emmanuel McNeil Warren for some reason doesn't get picked before then or you're getting one of the premier linebackers still in this class, that seems like a very solid deal here. But moving on to number three, the one that you mentioned, the Cardinals that makes a lot of sense, bookie wise predicting that they are going to select a quarterback here, trading pick 18 straight
up for picks 34 65 and 104. And that's a according to your values here, a 19.1 point difference. So once again, right to the top of that second round, you're still in that second round with picks 65. And then you're getting a just outside of the top 100 picked there with 104. Yeah, this might be the most realistic one, both because the Cardinals, of course, desperately need a quarterback. And I think that the Cardinals could justify this price. And they're going to have to pay it, you know, the way that it's looking to get Tyson's in. It's looking less and less likely that Tyson's and could get to the 34th pick. So that's what could incentivize the Cardinals, you know, particularly if they catch wind that some of these teams in the 20s are sniffing around Tyson's and like I said, hop in the the Steelers or whatever. But the Cardinals in this package would give up the second pick in the second round. So that the second pick on Friday. And then the 65th pick is the first pick in the third round. And then 104 is the fourth pick in the fourth round.
Once we begin on Saturday. So you get three picks at tops at, you know, top of the second, third, fourth round there to move down from 18. That again, this probably the one where I think it makes the most realistic sense for both sides where the Cardinals could be incentivized to do that. And then that would give the Vikings. I mean, all of a sudden now in the top 104, you have added two additional picks to that Vikings already have four picks in the top 100 now. So that that would get them to six in the top 104. And when we talk about, you know, we've AJ and I we've talked about like the pressing needs immediate needs for the Vikings 2026 roster. You know, you have seven or so of those right now, right? So and we expect the Vikings to sign a couple guys to fill a couple of those holes before the draft. We would hope so. But this is something where it would allow you to more canvas those kind of needs. And past day two of this draft, I start losing it a little bit with how confident I am and guys ability to come in and play early or ever in this draft guys.
Because I do think it falls out pretty quick. But in the day two is my favorite part of this draft. I don't love the top of this draft. The back half of the first round, I hate this draft. And where I really like it is in day two. So that's this trade would be, you know, sort of in deference of that. That being said, still make sure to tune in live on YouTube and other podcasting platforms for draft night coverage with the purple daily draft party. And thank you to everybody who's already bought their tickets for joining us at the Mystic Lake Hop House. We're going to make it as fun as possible. Even if they trade down and out of the first round all together, it's still going to be a blast. Can't can't that's going to be the thing where everyone's groaning and hating it. And I'm jumping up and pumping my fist because if they got a trade like that from that, you know, whether it's the jets especially, but they, you know, the Cardinals on or or this Browns one that we're about to talk any of those trades I would love. Although the Browns one, you'd be staying in the first round. So, you know, I don't think people would be as mad. But yeah, for the Sega entertainment value,
I'm going to say this one's been my favorite so far just because for selfishly, I'm thinking about it content wise for that night too, just as somebody who's going to be kind of working behind the scenes not on stage. Like you are talking about it. I'm looking for that clip of like the Vikings making their pick. This at least has them make that pick on that Thursday night. This one with the Cleveland Browns for the audio audience trading picks 18 and 82 to the Cleveland Browns for 24 and 39. So you, you're, you're staying in the first round, but you're adding one of the higher tiered picks in that second round too. What is that pick seven of the second round? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And the tax here, not as much you're looking at what was at 16 and a half points going in favor of the Vikings. I really, I, and it like I said selfishly, I like this one because they say in the first round, but I do think that there is a world where you do this trade down and you still get one of the really good players in that back have the first round that the Vikings are getting an immediate day one starter. Yeah, this would be strong value here. Like you say, you only skip down six
spots and the position buckets the Vikings are going to be looking at. I'm, I'm totally fine with that, right? Like, I mean, that's, there's a shot that the first interior defensive lineman is an off the board at that time. You know what I mean? Like and what we'll see how the, you know, the McNeil Warren, you know, could be around there. Some of several of those boundary corners that we have talked about, you know, figure to be the, et cetera, et cetera. So I don't see a huge qualitative difference between 18 and 24. Whereas you move from 82 to 39 at 39. I'm very confident. I'm getting a guy who is going to come in and start from day one, right? Whereas 82, I mean, I still like the 82nd pick. You know, like I said, through the end of round three here, but it's, it's someone obviously by definition, you're not nearly going to be nearly as high on. So you're going to get the much better prospect there at 39. So I, I do think that want to make sense from the Vikings perspective. Now with, with the Browns, you know, the thing, you know, Shadeer, Dylan Gabriel, and then I guess, you know, they have to roster Dishon Watson for one more
year and they claim that he's going to be involved in the queue. I think I tell Dishon Watson, just stay home pal for the year. I know, just we'll, we'll pay, oh, we have to. But, uh, but whole point being will, with the Browns do something like that, um, get aggressive for a quarterback in this class in the first round in Ty Simpson. When next year coming up here, we, we have the awesome quarterback class. But I mean, now they already fired their coaching staff that the Browns and the management team is, I think the one to keep an eye on for a panic trait there. Because really, the Browns, they ought to just roll it forward at their quarterback room right now. The Browns aren't competing for anything. They should be competing for a top five draft slot in the loaded 2027 class. But if Andrew Barry and crew Andrew Barry is the GM of the Browns, who is on the hottest of hot seats. If he feels like, man, we got to make something happen here. And at the quarterback position and, and give some like short term, you know, hope, be them to the fan base or whatever. That's how I could see them sort of talking themselves into
that. The other thing is, uh, Jimmy Haselm, their owner is famously metalsome. So, uh, and you know, in the draft room is it, you know, let's do this. Let's do that. So, you know, that, that could be interesting too. Um, but yeah, just, just, just that I bring up all those factors. But I, so I'm not sure about the Browns. They're the team that's lowest on that odds board, you know, six to one, uh, Cardinals being, being the top one, but figured I had to mention them. What's your Mount Rushmore podcast? This episode, our favorite cocktails. It would have never occurred to me prior to the Big Lebowski to, say, can I get a white Russian? After watching that movie, I think I even said to Susan, I'm like, I want to have a white Russian now. So, add a context to turn to your wife and say that once, you know what, I want a white Russian. Yes. What did I do? Malorgar bride. Ah, yeah. Get on the internet and find one. What's your Mount Rushmore? I don't know. Listen, wherever you get podcasts, and it's so weird for them too, because they, they're coming off a draft year where they burn two picks. One of them, I think, uh, I've seen a report that they really have zero intention on
rolling out Dylan Gabriel as like a legit QB1 competition guy into training camp. So who knows if they even are backing him too much or if that was just a pick for the sake of picking, but, it sounds like Shadoor's their guy heading into the season. He should be. If you, I think you should, I think he earned, I think he earned enough, uh, granted like you said, they're not really playing it for much given the season. And the worst thing that happens is you play batting, you get a really high pick next year. Hunter, either outcome is ideal. Either Shadeer and crew, they fall on their face and you win three games and now, you know, archmaning or Dante Moore or, you know, all those welcome to Sleeveland, right? Like you might get your pick of the litter, but if Shadeer's good, great. Now you don't have to take a quarterback in that class when everyone else is clamoring up for one and that draft class is stacked at the other positions too, right? Wide receiver, you know, we talked about that is just going to be crazy, crazy nasty, but, um, that's what I would do if I
was Cleveland. But like I said, there's other factors there. You have a GM that is on that crazy, crazy hot seat. And then you have an owner that loves to zoom in on a specific thing and start meddling. Um, that, that, you know, the Johnny Mansell, um, that's the, you know, the, what we understand of that was that was a Jimmy Haslum production. And there's been a lot of, uh, rumors or innuendo that Jimmy Haslum was behind the trade up for Shadeer Sanders. Now that one in the fifth round, bravo, Jimmy, because that, that was not a bad transaction. Um, some of these other ones are that Dishon Watson, you know, this sort of stuff, uh, maybe Jimmy ought to, uh, leave the football into the football guys. Uh, well, I think we have five, uh, trades that you had mocked up here. This is the final one being done with the Rams who, I, uh, this is going to be intriguing. You said the odds, but this one still feels surprising for me. This is in fact actually involves the Vikings trading up. So the Rams sending
the Vikings pick 13 in exchange for 18 82 and 163. It's a 17.1 point swing in favor of the Rams in this one, uh, but trading up to 13, lock me through your thought process here. Obviously, for the Rams trading down to get a quarterback in Ty Simpson, but what is the goal of the Vikings? You're trading up to 13. So for the Rams, this would be the thing now, the Rams, they had two first round picks initially. And then they traded the last one, you know, the one that was like 30 or whatever, they traded it to the chiefs in the make, uh, to get McDuffie the cornerback, but the Rams remain with the one first round pick. And this is the one they acquired from our friend Terrible Terry Fountain O and the Atlanta Falcons. So sitting at 13 and look, the Rams, they're obviously there at, you know, in their win now window, right? You have Stafford for another year. It might be Stafford's last year. So absolutely, you might just park in that 13 slot and take a receiver has been bandied about for the Rams. They have two really good ones.
If you have, if you got a third one, that would be pretty nasty or, uh, you know, continue to add defensive help. Could they do that? So all that is in play for sure. But again, going along with this exercise, the Rams tied with the Steelers for third on the odds board, uh, to draft Ty Simpson, and both of them are at plus 350. That's of course with the idea of bring them in. We'll develop him. He can marinate for a year, learn behind Stafford, uh, and under this like amazing offensive staff. And Ty Simpson, he really needs to sit one year. Ty Simpson only started one year in the FBS. And he he's not a finished product yet. You know, he's not. And so like next year he ought to be, um, you know, sitting and learning or whatever, the Rams would make a lot of sense in that regard. If they could sort of swallow, not using that pick on immediate help, right? Um, I don't think there's any scenario where the Rams would take Ty Simpson at 13. But if this is something they were interested in, would Sean McVay call his good friend Kevin O'Connell.
And man, we can we can swallow that pick a lot better at 18. And, um, and so maybe we pick up some extra, um, uh, draft picks in order to move down and pick them in a more palpable spot. And then for the Vikings, I think this is the one where if there's a dude falling down, um, that ought not be where the Vikings, you know, to use a bad quacyism, uh, you know, when he put on the Superman cape, you know, and take, take a swing up the board. Let's say, for instance, you know, we're, you know, we're, we're all friends. Here's a friendly combo. Let's say, let's just say Caleb Downs is falling falling. Now he somehow gets past the Bengals at 10, right? Um, and he gets past the Cowboys at 12. Now Caleb, Caleb Downs, the safety from a house state is, is there at 13, but the the Rams there, you know, if they were interested in Ty Simpson, I think that's where the, you could get a team like the Vikings incentivized to move up. Um, and then, you know, that's maybe how that
that thing could play out. But we know that the Vikings and the Rams have very friendly relationship. Of course, because of O'Connell and McVeigh, we, we've seen them talking on the phone about draft pick trades and some of the draft videos that McVeigh, I, I posted this on Twitter a month, month and a half ago, but there was a, you know, after the draft thing in 2024 from both the Vikings and the Rams, where the Rams were doing everything they could in that draft as it was going to try to move up to get Brock Bowers. And one of the, so they, they called the Jets, the Jets weren't interested because they were about to trade down one slot with the Vikings. Then McVeigh called the Vikings trying to see, you know, would you guys move down, but they didn't want to, of course, because the quarterback. Um, and so basically McVeigh and the Rams ended up getting boxed out. But friendly relationship between the two teams and, um, yeah, just, just, you know, with those top five teams on, on the odds board for Ty Simpson, we just kind of want to go through and be like, um, you know, if, if, if it ended up being, you know, uh, trading for a pick, whether it's a team trading, uh, back into the first, whether it's a team trading slightly up in the first, whether
it's like this with the Rams trading slightly down, with those five teams, what could a trade package look like? Uh, for Ty Simpson for the Viking slot at number 18. So interesting, uh, thought experiment and, um, you know, we have to, you know, in addition to the prospects, AJ, we have to think about the trade values as well. And what if this happens? What if that happens? What if this team comes, you know, like, uh, approaches with the trade idea? What, what realistically should we be expecting the Vikings, uh, to get, uh, in a trade-down with that team? Let me expand on that really quick before we move on for you to here. You're, uh, let's say, let's say the, the safety slip and Caleb Downs, and maybe he's there at 13. He gets out of that top 10 and he's kind of right for the pickings. We've also seen in our Mox, uh, Dylan Theaneman, the Oregon safety, getting taken above Downs at times. We don't really know what, cause I feel like there's a big fluctuation where in these mock drafts, we're doing on pff.com. He's like a top 10, doesn't really get past 13, 14 at the latest. Um, but sometimes he might be there
at 18, 19, 20 for the Vikings if we even want to trade back. If both of those guys are there, that, that makes more sense for the Vikings to not trade up. Would, would you, would you agree? I'm, I guess, I'm just trying to think here because how, how, how big of a, uh, target for the Vikings is the safety position in that first round, especially if those two guys are still there. Cause I feel like it's those two and then it's a drop off to Emmanuel McNeil, Neil Warren for that third safety. Yeah. I mean, the, the, the odds that both of those, because you're saying downs and the men at 18. Let's say they're both there at 13. Oh, for this, for this scenario, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That, that's possible. So you're saying like if, if that was the case, then, um, why would, then the Vikings may be not trading up from 18 is kind of what you're saying. Yeah, cause then you could wait. Maybe one of them goes at, you know, 14 or 15. And then it's like, okay, now one's off the board. We have to strike. And so that closes the gap of the trade up that the
Vikings. If, if their mindset is we're getting one of these guys now that they're still here, instead of going from 18 to 15, you're going 18 to 16 or even just one spot up to 17 or something like that. I would be pretty surprised if either of those two guys got to 18. Um, the, the odds that both got to 13, I think is, is pretty low too, but it can respond to your question. Even if that happened, I still wouldn't love the odds of one of them getting to 18, right? Um, just because of how, how good a prospect like those both guys are, um, Thiniman, there's, there's certainly a shot. Um, but yeah, you know, with, with where the helium is gone since, since it's testing. Um, and, and I, you know, some people are like, you know, we're surprised by his testing. Dylan Thiniman ran in the four threes in high school. So the, the testing wasn't really, you know, a huge huge surprise, um, you know, with, with Dylan Thiniman, um, but maybe the full athletic profile is what was surprising people could just because he tested like so, so well. Um, but yeah, it, you know,
we're going to have to monitor these different positions, right? And, and what guy could fall down? What, what, what scenario, and what scenarios could, um, you know, uh, push kind of the Vikings to explore like a, a trade like this. And I always think it's interesting to think through the guys of like, who could fall? Right? Like of, of, of any of those guys that are, are just always talked about is like, this guy's a lock top 10, right? Like, of, of guys like that. And you try to think through the profiles and, and which of these guys could end up slipping through the cracks. I, I made the case before I, I think downs. There's, there's a shot of that because of the, um, the knee condition that he has. And then the devalued position, you know, of more the, um, rovin box kind of safety there. Um, so he, he, he would be one of them for sure. One of a sneaky one. Um, now this guy could go in the top five is the same thing with downs. Um, people, you know, giants fans think that downs, you know, they think they're going to take them at five. What, we'll see. Um, but a sneaky one is his teammates, sunny styles falling out out of the top 10.
Um, and sunny styles probably even more. So yeah, like consensus. Now I'm not, again, I'm not saying that it will happen. But this, where you're just looking for things of like, you know, could it and with styles, the off-ball linebacker position in the NFL is so devalued. You might even say it's now at this point more devalued than the running back position, which is the thing for the past 20 years where we're like, oh, it's devalued, oh, it's devalued. And then all of a sudden, it was like, well, it was so devalued that it became undervalued, right? And, and with, uh, you know, that, in the couple of seasons ago, we had like, say, quant sign and like some of this different stuff. And of course, we've seen, uh, as you intend to go real high in the last draft, we're going to see Jeremy. I love go, uh, real high in this one. But off-ball linebackers, I thought it was really interesting and free agency this year because there was, there was a handful like of, of, of good ones, like really good ones. I don't believe that any of them got even 30 million dollars guaranteed, not one of them. Uh, you know, Devon Lloyd and like some of these different guys. And it was, you know, they were all going for less than
their projections, whereas guys at other positions, the more valuable ones, those guys were the ones that were exceeding their, um, pre-free agency sort of AAV projections, all of which is to say, if that is and continues to be what the NFL is telling you, how they see that position. If that's a referendum on the position, keep in mind the way that the rookie scale contracts work, where it's one size fits all, you know, first round pick, you get the four years, then you have the option for the fifth, right? And then, you know, so you're, you're sort of thinking, uh, through that, well, with the off-ball linebacker position, because you pay the studs of the studs as little as you do, to me, that's where the argument against sunny styles begins. It has nothing to do with this game. Sunny styles is amazing. And he's like this hybrid, you know, uh, Arvel Reese, um, who, they played on right next to each other, sometimes, you know, in the alignment of Ohio State, Arvel Reese was the, the hybrid of an edge and an off-ball linebacker, whereas styles is the,
the hybrid of the off-ball linebacker's safety. Um, and you can do so many different things. You see, maybe a little bit of Fred Warner, um, in, in a sunny style. So, you know, and, and if that's, you know, a team gets there with their evaluation, of course, that's what, you know, the top five top sex where, you know, he's in play for that. But if, if you're just looking at it of, man, that year five option to accept it, we'll go back with the same thought experiment that the Ravens had with Tyler Linderbaum. They, they select Tyler Linderbaum in the first round, Tyler Linderbaum becomes one of the elite centers in the league. So it was a good pick, right? And yet the Ravens did not, uh, accept their fifth year option on Tyler Linderbaum because of that one year weighted guaranteed contract against the rest of the centers in the league, right? It was like, you know, they, they were like, we, we just cannot stomach, giving that much of the cap, uh, this year to, to that guy, even though he's a stud and even though that pick worked out, right? And so I think that's sort of the thing that, that you're going to be thinking about with styles, um,
you know, potentially there. But yeah, just, just interacting to think through some of those guys. Yeah, absolutely. Um, which, if he falls out of the top 10, just based on the testing scores too, that feels like a team that eventually does grab them is going to be like, we're going to look back in 10 years. Like, why did he fall so far? Anyways, um, he's got a, he's, he's a sunny golf styles if you're AJ Fredericks and Halsey. So yeah, yeah, there we go. Yeah, yeah. We're going to be back though on Monday, your Thor and you are tasked with a mock draft, where you are putting yourself, you are, you have two, you have two days now, 48 hours to become Rob Burzinski. Get in the mindset. Get in that frame frame. You're going to be Robbie B. I'm doing the gift with the sunglasses coming down on Rob B. Have you seen that one on Twitter? Oh, we got some great gifts. Oh, you're going to get into into Zinski mode on on Monday, because you're going to put yourself in his shoes and do a mock draft for what fans can potentially expect, because we, we, I've let you, you know, be the king of the castle for a lot of
these mocks and do as many trade ups or downs or whatever the fact is, Rob B might be a little more conservative. He might be, he might be a little more stick and pick. We'll have to wait and see, but that'll be on Monday's Thor Talks, probably any final words here before we wrap up. No, you know, another enjoyable record with the AJ and appreciate everyone out there, tune in and as always, that's all the time that we have for today on Thor Talks Purple. So for AJ, I'm Thor, we'll see you next week.
