Nearly six TSA workers there have put in their resignation notices and officials expect even more to follow in the next few days. This comes as the partial government shutdown hits its second month. TSA officers and air traffic controllers keep showing up for work, but without any paychecks. Passengers understand the strain on these workers. Many say the agents stay professional despite the hardship, though safety could take a hit with thinner staffing. The past weekend brought the highest no-show rates for TSA officers so far during the shutdown. Overall, more than 366 have quit the agency since it started.
