Trump targeted in White House Correspondents Dinner shooting

0:00Donald Trump has lashed out at the media over the shooting incident at the White House correspondence dinner. The president's sharing details of the suspects, supposed manifesto that was revealed he was the intended target. Marley Hogan has the story. At this stage of the investigation, US authorities do believe that President Trump and other senior officials who are part of the Trump administration were the likely targets of this attack. As this investigation progresses, we are learning more about the suspect, Cole Thomas Allen, a 31-year-old teacher from California. Investigators have searched his home near Los Angeles and his hotel room here at the Washington Hilton where he was a guest, the same hotel where the Gala dinner took place overnight. Now the US president revealed the suspect had a manifesto and other writings as well. Our affiliates here on the ground, NBC, have seen the letters and they say that they expressed

1:03what they called a duty-to-target Trump administration officials. The letter went on to say, quote, I experienced rage when thinking about what this administration has done. Now it's understood the suspect sent a letter to his family members around 10 minutes before he came down into the lobby of this hotel, charged that Secret Service security checkpoint and opened fire. His radicalized, he was the Christian believer and then he became an anti-Christian and he had a lot of change. He's been going through a lot based on what he wrote. His family was very concerned, he was probably a pretty sick guy. The US president has described the moment he was pulled from his chair by Secret Service agents and evacuated from the Gala dinner. Well what happened is it was a little bit me, I wanted to see what was happening and I wasn't making it that easy for him.
