Trump’s Next Iran Plan, Soldiers Spill Deployment Plans to Stripper

0:00One week in counting, again, President Trump said he'll know in the next week if Iran's new leadership is ready to make a deal, or if it's time to ramp up attacks. Plus, loose lips, sink ships, as the saying goes. An exotic dancer says some for military clients let details of their upcoming deployments out of the bag. Those stories and more today March 31st, I'm Caitlin Becker, and this is the New York Postcast. President Trump issued a fresh ultimatum to Iran's de facto leaders, Speaker of the country's parliament, Mohammed Bagar-Ghalibov. After the Islamic Republic attacked Israel's largest oil refinery, the Post's Emily Gooden spoke to the President and asked for his response to which he replied, you'll see shortly. And when he was asked whether Ghalibov was willing to negotiate with the U.S., the President added, I'll let you know in about a week. Now, this came shortly after the President posted a threat to truth social, saying that if a deal isn't made to end the war and open the strait of Hormuz, quote, we will conclude our lovely stay in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their electric generating plants, oil wells,

1:03and cargo island, and possibly all desalination plants. The President called the potential move retribution for those, quote, Iran has butchered and killed over the old regime's 47-year reign of terror. Now, it can feel like it's hard to get clarity on what exactly is going on and what the plan is. So I asked the Post's White House reporter, Emily Gooden. Well, when I spoke to President Trump my name morning, he didn't have a lot of time to talk. He said he was busy working, and Iran is really topping his list of things to do this week. The President's looking at a number of options to try to get this war to an end. Keep in mind, he said he only wanted to be in Iran four to six weeks. Caroline Levitt and her press briefing on Monday confirmed to the New York Post that that timetable still stays, and we're on day 31. So it's coming to an end. And he's considering attacking Iran's energy infrastructure, which would cripple the country and basically put it back in the dark ages. So that's one option. Another option the President is considering is sending US troops into Iran to take its uranium.

2:09Now, this was reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing administration officials. But it would be a dangerous mission. The uranium is deep inside around. It's over 300 feet underground. The troops would have to go through drones and missiles and deserts to try to get to it. But it would accomplish the President's goal of ending a rancability to have a nuclear weapon. The Department of Homeland Security says, quote, most of the nation's TSA agents got two paychecks on Monday. However, a small number of agents might see a slight delay for any number of reasons, processing times, direct deposit issues, etc. Now, when will travelers see shorter airport security lines? Not right away. At least 500 agents quit during the shutdown, which is still going on, by the way. Remember, President Trump managed after a month and a half to get the agents paid with money from the big beautiful bill, while Congress continues to do nothing to end the shutdown itself. 3:13fund this agency fully. Again, the President has stepped in in the meantime to do what's right to end this crisis that we've had at air travel and at airports across the country in the meantime. But again, Congress needs to come back. Democrats need to fund the Department of Homeland Security, so we can formally and fully get these great employees paid long into the future. Mast thieves made off with three paintings by masters. Renoir, Sezon, and Matisse worth more than 10 million bucks from a museum in Italy. The whole heist took less than three minutes. They were pros. A crew of at least four busted through the front entrance of a private museum in the Italian countryside just south of Parma, sometime in the middle of the night between March 22nd and 23rd. Now, they tried to take a fourth painting, but ditched it after they set off the alarms. The robbers then escaped through the museum's gardens, hopped offence, and made their getaway. Now, authorities put the price of the paintings at 10 million, but some news outlets think the value is much, much higher, noting that that Renoir alone could be worth more than 7 million.

4:15One Italian art expert said he expected a ransom request for the painting safe return, but so far, as of Monday night, there were no leads and no demands. Well, a well-known rumor about the ballroom construction has now officially been confirmed by the President. Politicians and dignitaries will be toe-tapping above a quote, massive, military complex. Now, we had a hunch about this, the not-so-secret bunker was revealed in some legal documents a while back, but the President is now not only openly admitting to the plans for the construction of the bunker, but is offering some new details about it too. And over the years, there had been some renovations and some upgrades to the nuclear bunker, or it's officially called the Presidential Emergency Operations Center. But it kind of been an open secret for some time that during development on the White House ballroom project that there had been a lot of work underground and that construction crews were really trying to beef up and modernize and expand the doomsday bunker that sits below the White House complex. And we had seen in court documents last year that the Secret Service had admitted there were some concerns about any delays in construction to the White House ballroom project because of the national security implications, implying really strongly that they're working on beefing up the nuclear bunker. And President Trump complained about those lawsuits, but he was eager to talk about how massive this complex

7:45will be. And he also unveiled the latest renditions of the design for the White House ballroom, which is a little bit simpler than the ones we had seen a few weeks ago. He kind of did that after the New York Times had this pretty scathing analysis of the White House ballroom design that we previously had access to. And President Trump has also talked about the security steps that are being taken with development of the ballroom, including efforts to have really thick pull-up proof glass and anti-drone technology for the ceiling. A social media influencer and exotic dancer is spilling the tea about dozens of young troops, who in her words spent all their money at her club just days before they said they were shipping out to Iran. The young woman who goes by the name Charm Days dances at a club near multiple military bases. She posted an emotional story to her Instagram, describing what she called a heartbreaking pattern. It's sad. They're like kind of cats and they're like just hanging in like, oh yeah, we're gonna have fun. We're getting, what

8:48are they called? Deploy? We're getting deployed next week or like, this is something, I don't know. I don't want to spread misinformation or anything, but it's just like, there are a lot of them are really kind. The San Diego-based stripper didn't reveal anything top secret, but at least one military officer, himself a social media influencer, warned that chatting with her about their deployment compromised operational security or op-sec. He posted, quote, don't talk to your adult entertainer about deploying or when you're leaving or what you're doing or dates and times in location because they don't know any better, they're gonna post a TikTok video about it. And I mean, he's not wrong. And finally today, give me a break. In fact, give me 400,000 of them. By now, you may have seen the very viral news about thieves in Europe who robbed a truck carrying more than 400,000 Kit Katz. It was taken sometime after it left Central Italy before it was due to arrive in Poland where it was headed for distribution. What is with thieves in Italy on today's show? At least, this one is tasty? Nestle, who makes the candy, says they have no idea what happened to the truck

9:50and haven't revealed exactly where it vanished from. But Kit Katz says the candy is traceable via a unique barcode. And if anyone tries to scan the suites, they will get a message asking them to contact the company. The only reasonable option then is to eat them, I suppose. Despite it all, Kit Katz seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing, releasing a statement that reads in part quote, wills do we appreciate the criminals exceptional taste. The fact remains that cargo theft is an escalating issue for businesses of all sizes. Anyone have eyes on the Easter bunny lately?
