Trump is reshaping America’s nuclear safety watchdog

President Donald Trump has reshaped the Nuclear Regulatory Commission over the past year to align it more closely with his administration’s nuclear ambitions. But current and former officials told POLITICO that the NRC is no longer operating independently, raising new questions about the future of the nation’s nuclear safety watchdog. POLITICO’s A.J.
