Trump Haunted at Home with Economic Nightmare as War Spirals

About this episode

Popok reports on today's news that the new Ayatolla in Iran has launched an attack on all of the US Oil interests, starting with declaring that the Strait of Harmuz, through which 20 percent of world oil passes, is closed for business, as Iran tries to cause a global economic recession to bring Trump to his knees.  It's a bad sign for Trump's economy when after 600 million barrels of strategic reserve oil is released into the market, crude oil prices skyrocketed UP today, signaling that Iran is beating Trump at his own game. to deplete its strategic reserve and release another 172 million barrels of oil, even with almost 600 million barrels of strategic reserve oil being released into the market. As of right now, as I'm recording, the oil prices have gone up almost 9%, touching $100 a barrel again could go as high as 140 before Donald Trump's ill-planned folly is over. And the intelligence community, you know, the one that works for Donald Trump and the US has said that in their reporting and in their analysis, there's no regime change. That that the the Republican guard, the clerics, the leaders that weren't killed are all in firm control of Iran. And if Donald Trump thought that I could decapitating the leader, that they were going to lead to an uprising of democracy and of moderates in Iran,

that is not happening. It hasn't happened. And instead, Iran is widening the front, is trying to create a global economic chaos in order to put pressure on America to get off its back. I'm not even talking about here on this particular hot take, the human toll, the death, the deaths of innocents, the deaths of American soldiers to pursue Donald Trump's ill-planned, no planned war and its impact on global prices. It got so bad that the group of seven France, Italy, Canada, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and yes, coming in last, the United States had a meat in Paris yesterday to try to figure out what to do about oil prices and global energy prices. Something Donald Trump seems to have completely forgotten in his planning. See, according to the energy secretary, they thought that what they did in June were Trump bombed

Iran's part of Iran's nuclear program, which I thought was the reason that we never had to go to war with them. We're just going to get rid of their nuclear power. Now we have to go after their missiles and their navy, apparently, that we were told that, well, there was very little response from Iran, then. So nothing really happened to the global markets. It was a hiccup for energy. It'll be the same, right? Will we take out the Ayatollah? No. No. When you're dropping bombs and you're working with Israel to try to take out the regime from the air, they have the ability to strike with drones and other missiles, 2030 targets. Right now, there are refineries and oil tankers burning near Iraq as a result of the Iranian response. They want to set the global oil world aflame, right? Grind the global economy to a halt, ala COVID, and then pressure the United States to settle to resolve to end the war. Donald Trump's busy running around like a

modern day, I guess George Bush was modern day, like another George Bush mission accomplished. The war is over. The Ayatollah's response, the new Ayatollah's response to that was, yeah, I just shut the passageway through which 20% of the world's oil travels, the straight of Harmuz. And now it's, I said yesterday on the intersection podcast of mine that it was like a parking lot in the straight of Harmuz. It's worse. More tankers are showing up. And right now, I mean, it could change tomorrow. Donald Trump changes his mind like he changes his underwear, probably changes his underwear slightly more. Maybe that he was going to use a naval warships to open up the blockade. Not as it happened yet. And that, that means you're going to have to start bombing Iranian ships and, and, and, and taking out the Iranian Air Force as well. What was the plan here exactly? Now, I know from a, when you are a scandal-ridden corrupt

administration that has lost the trust of the American people, like the Trump administration, you've got to do something somewhere else. You've got to, it's like a war. You've got to open another front in order to distract and attention from your failures at home. I mean, that's been an old trick. It never works, by the way. That's been an old trick, you know, an old wag the dog trick of, of failed presidency is going back, you know, a hundred years. You know, you're doing poorly, you know, 1974, Ford claimed that there's a, that a ship spin sunk and you have to go to war, uh, failings at home. For Nixon, no, let's start bombing Cambodia and making peace with China. You know, Donald Trump, terrible, terrible job numbers, economy numbers, consumer confidence numbers, right way, wrong way, direction numbers, people's, uh, polling numbers, election results. When we've actually had elections in the

United States, all against the megaposition, what do you do? Start bombing Iran. That seems popular, right? Without any planning. Without any fourth thought about what, what happened? That's why would people ask me over the weekend. Bobock, what do you think some of them Republican friends in mind? What do you think about Iran? It's not a good thing. It's, it would be an okay thing in the hands of an adult mature administration that I trusted to do the hard work of diplomacy, nation building, and planning and the hands of these incompetence. You see what's happened. It's a Trump, it's a catastrophe. It's a catastrophe of epic proportion at a time when his economy, Trump's economy, which we suffer under can barely handle any more bad news. We just had reporting yesterday that the inflation rate before the Iran war happened, went up 2.5%, 3.3%,

you're paying 3.3% this February and grocery prices more than you paid last February. And you paid three or four percent more than that. Go back four years, you're talking about 12, 15% inflation. Who can afford that? Who's, who's income's going up 12 to 15%? In that same time period. That was before the war. Donald, we also learned in the last two weeks from Donald Trump's own numbers that he's not making any jobs, that he lost 90,000 jobs in the month of February as well. So prices up, jobs are down, jobs are non-existent. And now we've got the Iranian war. While he's busy running around, trying to figure out how to tariff these countries all over again, the very countries that have rushed to our aid by releasing oil. And the fact that the release, the strategic release of almost 600 million barrels of oil and the announced release of that is not enough to stop oil prices from going up and touching as

I'm recording $100 a barrel again. It was 70 on February 27th, just to put it in perspective. And jumping 8.2% today alone, the fact that even with that announcement, the oil markets have gone nuts. There's not bode well for America. So again, Iran has no choice having been back into a corner and having been bombed and continue to be bombed by Israel and the United States. But to try to cut the fuel line between the US economy, the global economy, and oil and energy. That is their rational, if you will, response. And it's not helping that at the fog of war, innocent are dying, right? 160 girls between 7 and 12 died because of misinformation about the location of a school. What? He's busy. Trump's busy fighting an AI company called Anthropic. Because he doesn't like the fact that Anthropic has ethics and doesn't want the administration

of the Department of Defense to use their AI to bomb people or to surveil Americans. So he got rid of them. Did that contribute? The lack of intelligence? Did that contribute to the depth of these girls? Donald Trump's at war. He is a war. He's been a wartime president on war footing since the day he took office the second time around. But the war is against the American people. It's against the American, it's against our American values. He figured out that if he declared a war around every corner, he could try to expand his powers to the outer, outer, outer, outer limits of the Constitution. What order to do that? When he ran out of targets, all the narco terrorists, the Venezuela, all the, the, the, the, the, the Haitians, all the, the, the migrant class, all the criminals, all the liberals, all the left, all the first amendment Americans. He's how to now turn on Americans. This is not a war in Iran. It's an war on America.

It's values in its economy led by its own president. I'm going to continue to follow it right here. I'm glad you're here on legal AF. We just went to 1 million 70,000 subscribers.
